Stamp Scrap Doodle Saturday

Hi Everyone.
This week our challenge at Stamp Scrap and Doodle Saturday is to use buttons and our wonderful sponsor is Doodles by Hope Jacare .

She has some of the most interesting images. They have a lot of detail and are fun to color.
Here is the image I chose to use.
I didn't have small enough buttons for his eyes so I stitched them and made a french knot for his nose. I used my Gypsy to create the card base. Then ran it through my CB. I colored Mr. Scarecrow with Copic Markers.
I used a QuicKutz die to cut paper buttons for the inside. I got the die at a garage sale for $1.50. It is a great die to have. There are two sized on it. Great score for me! I love getting a good deal.

I hope you will join us this week at SSDS. I look forward to seeing your creations.

Brand New Hot off the Press By Lori Design

Hear they are... meet Katie & Grace, part of the brand new release from byLORIdesigns! The new release are not toddler like the other Puddle Jumpers. They will be know as PJs.
I used the sketch from Stampin' Royalty Sketch #43 and because it is Breast Cancer Awareness month I made it pink to send as a card to show support. A couple of the blogs I visit are asking for cards for friends who are battling breast cancer. I just got my results back. It is always hard to open that letter but it was normal and I was so happy. I can't even imagine how hard it must be to get a different results. Self exams and mammograms are something we need to do for ourselves and our family.

You are just going to love the new images by Lori and they are available NOW at byLORIdesigns. I am looking forward to seeing what you do with these wonderful images.

Scrapmaster's Paradice Color Combo #71

Samantha has some great colors for this weeks challenge.
These were so much fun I made two cards.
For this card I used two Cuttlebug folders and my Cricut.
I used SU Finial Press Textured Impressions Embossing Folder.   I just got, and I think it is so pretty. The stamp set is Trendy Trees. I love this set. I used a SU wheel called Cornelli Lace on the Crumb Cake.  Of the two cards this one is my favorite. Crumb Cake is SU's new kraft. I really like to use this color.

I hope you will join us at Scrapmaster's Paradise this week. Have you been checking out all the new stamps Samantha has been designing. She is just about ready to start shipping. I know I am watching my mailbox.

Squigglefly Challenge #71

I am so excited I got to play along with the Squigglefly # 71 challenge. It has been way too long.
As soon as I saw this cute free image I knew I had to play. My granddaughter just started standing up and walking around the furniture.  Her mom and dad are so proud. I am just sad I can't be around her to watch. They are so good about sending us video. I decided to tease them a little with this card. I plan on adding a little cash for a pair of walking shoes for Cora.
Here is the inside.
I typed the sentiment with a font called Hiccup that I got online. As soon as I saw those adorable little shoes the songs These Boots Were Made For Walking by Nancy Sinatra came into my mind. They might not get the joke.  I am not sure if they know the song. I should have one of those recorders to put in the card so it plays the song when they open it. LOL
I don't think there are many people in this challenge so you should hurry over and give it a try too.

See you tomorrow with another SSDS challenge.

ColourQ #55 and SSD Sketch

Hi Everyone, Today I have two challenges and a new digi stamp by Arielle Gordon for you.

There are two color challenges at Colour Q this week. I picked the Breast Cancer Awareness colors for my card.
I love these colors together. I paired it with Karen Giron's sketch for Skipping Stone Design sketch challenge #47.
The image by Arielle Gordon at Snappy Stampin with Arielle. She is so talented. Her blog is one of my favorite. I am looking forward to more of her designs. This is her second digi. Her digital scrapbook pages are amazing.

The scallops were made with a Die-namics Jumbo Scallop Die from My Favorite Things. I used it on the card liner too. The DP is from a SU pack. Base card is black and I embossed it with a CB folder called Friend.
I got a new water mark from Karen Girdon. I really like this one. They are only $2.00. What a deal.

If you have any questions please leave it in the comments and I will be happy to get back to you.

Scrapmaster's Paradice Color Combo #70

Hi Everyone,
Welcome to another Scrapmaster's Paradise Color Combo. When I saw these colors I thought what am I going to do with these colors.

Then I looked through the 30 cards I made at SOWS and this is what I came up with.
I love this bird punch for SU. The DP is from SU also. The ribbon is from CTMH. I am really happy with the way this turned out. You can't go wrong with that punch. I punched it twice and used dimentional to attach the layers. I am really happy with the way it turned out.

I sure hope you will join us at SPCC this week. You don't have to use SU brands or products but you do have to use colors close to them. You can make a card, scrapbook LO, 3D or altered item. I want to see what you do with these colors. They would be great for a Halloween or sympathy card. Check out what the rest of the team came up with here.

Be sure to keep your eye on Scrapmaster's Paradice. A lot of exciting things are going to be happening.

Throwback Thursday Challenge with Emma and My Pink Stamper

I am so excited I made a card for Throwback Thursday this week. The challenge is :

"****Must be an "ANIMAL" theme project!

****Use "Every Day Paper Dolls" cartridge OR if you do NOT own this cart, feel free to use any older cartridge you have!"

I just love Emma's challenges because she gets me to use my cartridges. Really if it wasn't for her I would have wasted my money and I love using my Gypsy and Cricut and it is always nice to have a push to use them.
Ok here is my card and I love this one. I think it is so stinkin cute.
This image doesn't have a layer so I cut it out twice and cut the mane off of one. I also welded the shape so it is a shape card. Learned that from Emma!
The face is Peachy Keen' Critter Faces medium. I need more of these stamps. The sentiment is from My Pink Stamper More Punny-licious. I need more of her stamps too. Robyn's challenge today is to make a card with or for a child. This is a card for a child. The cartridge is Every Day Paper Dolls. That is a great cartridge. I use it a lot. I keep finding new things on it, like this adorable lion. Oh and the main Text Colorwas put through my CB with D'vine Swirl.
Did you see Emma has a new DVD. I ordered it the other night and can't wait until it arrives. Emma had a Ustream the other night and I asked her to make the challenge last until Wednesday about 100 times (sorry Emma) because I didn't know if she saw it but she must have because this challenge goes until next Wednesday. Yea! now if I go away for the weekend I still can play. Thank you Emma, you rock!
There is also a RAK blog hop that she is in. You should read all the wonderful things people do. I wish that was on TV instead of all these political ads. I am so sick of them. It makes you want to not vote. Anyway one reamdom act I like to do is vist with older ladies at the store. They always seem so happy to have someone to talk to and we both walk away with smile on our face. That is the thing about RAK you feel better too.

Have a great Friday and Thanks for stopping,

Too much fun to pass up.
Here is my card.
I used Sweet Sunday Sketch 88 for the layout. The paper, ink, EF, boarder punch and stamps are all Stampin Up. The ribbon is from CTMH.

Sleep Over With Susan

This past weekend I was invited to a sleepover. Can you imagine 57 and going to a sleepover. Well it was kinda like I remembered. You don't sleep much. It was all about making cards. A great getaway for 30 people. We had a cake walk (without cakes) but with wonderful Stampin Up prizes. Everyone that attended made a shoe box filled with materials for 30 people to make their card. We were all greeted by our host Susan Gardner who is a real hoot. She calls it SOWS. I know it is because of the initials but we all bring junk food and eat like, well you know. There were some good treats on that table. We were each given a wonderful Stampin Up bag, a name plate and holder and cake walk tickets. Susan is so organized and she made sure everyone had a good time.
The cards were wonderful. I am going to show you them in three different post.

Here are the first ten that I have ready for my blog.

Aren't they wonderful?
I made all 30 cards in one evening. Some of the work was done for us. I just love that I have so many cards on hand and so many wonderful ideas. This last one is a set I just got and it holds a tea bag.
Let me know which card is you favorite in your comment.
I wish I could tell you the names of all the wonderful ladies who designed these cards but we were all so busy working and gabbing we didn't pay attentions to names. You should have seen the stamps, ink, scissors, paper and tape flying in that room Friday night.

Many thanks to Susan for all her hard work, to Linde for inviting me along, and Ann for driving me.

Thanks for stopping,

Remember to stop back for two more post on SOWS
