Relax

Happy Wednesday!
Thank you so much to all of you who voted for me at LESSology. I am so surprised to see how many votes I got. You know sometimes you think you are talking to yourself when you do a blog.

Thank You !
Thank You !
 Thank You !

Today I have a card I made for the challenge over at Cricut 360. The challenge is "Relax." This is also for the challenge at Dare to be Sassy Thursday which is "Back to School." I know it looks like a stretch but tomorrow I am going to help a good friend in her first grade classroom. They are calling for 93+ temps. and the school has no air. So this is what I will be doing when I get home tomorrow night. I will be reminding myself how happy I am to be retired.
I decided to give my CRI-Kits a try. I have them over a year and used them once. They really are fun. I just never think to use them. You can't see it in the picture so here is a close up.
Can you see it? It is a very light green. I think I should have used a darker color.
The cartridge I used was Wall Decor and More.
Here is the card.

The image was the free image last week from Sassy Studio Designs. I thought that image just screamed "Relax."  I printed her out on white and two different designer paper. She also made me think of the 70's so I used the Perfectly Paisley CB folder on the bottom layer.

Happy frist day back to all the teachers out there.

CDAC Progressive Freebie Challeng

Hi Everyone. So happy you stopped here today. I have a card I made with a free digital image from the Progressive Freebie Challenge.  As long as you use one of the images each month you will be given free digital images for the next month. The progressive challenge started in August and runs though December. So that will be six challenge. If you do all six you will be in a drawing for a grand prize. This month there were six images. Because I started so late I only have one card to show you but I could make as many as you want. My image is by Sandi Samples.
Here is my card.
I love tea and have a tea pot that I got while in England. I use it every day. It is not as fancy as this one but I do drink out of a fancy china tea up every day.
The lace if from the haul last week and the sentiment is from SU.
Head over and sign up you will find a lot of fun stuff going on over at Creative Digital Art Center.

ATC for CDAC and Shrink Plastic

Hi Everyone,
I am in another ATC swap at Crafters Digital Art Center. This one is a Vintage Christmas theme. One of the requirements is to us a digital image. I decided to take the image and print it on Shrinky Dinks, color it and make a charm to add to my artist trading card. The image I used is from Fred She Said Designs Christmas Ornament 2 Digi.

If you would like to see how I did this check out my video. I even figured out how to speed up parts of the video. Well I had to update my computer but that was something fun to learn.
OK I hope you like this and maybe learn something fun to do.

Stamp, Scrap & Doodle Saturday

Happy Saturday, Time for another challenge at Stamp, Scrap and Doodle. This week our challenge is to make a sympathy or get well card. I needed a sympathy card for a dear blog friend. Many of you may know her. Stef Hughes better known as Glitterbabe. Her husband past away a week ago. Stef is the sweetest lady. She helped me out so much when I was getting started with my blog. I must have asked her a million questions and she always got right back to me and was so sweet. Please keep her and her family in your prayers.

Here is the card I sent to her.
Here is the inside.

It is very glitter because I know that is what Stef loves.
I hope you will join us this week at SSDS. Sympathy cards are not the most fun to make but is good to have them on hand because when you need one you don't always feel in a creative mood.

The Sweetest Thing

Hi Everyone, I am still using my Cricut. I made this card for Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge 130. I thought it was the purrrfect sketch for this cute little kitty.  His basket is suppose to be a litter box but I took the word off with my Gypsy. The cut is from Car Decals. The paper is all from my scrap box so I can't tell you what it is. The red polka dot is SU ribbon.

Here is a peek at the inside.
I am really having a lot of fun with this cartridge.

LESSology DT Call

Hi Everyone, Last week I told you about a new blog called LESSology. Well this week they are having a DT call. I would love to be on this team because I love to create altered projects and upcycle found treasures. As soon as I saw this call I went to my collection of "to be" upcycled treasures and found this box that I got from St Vinnies. I think I paid $1.00 for it.

I ended up with this.
Here is the video showing what I did.

I am giving this to a friend for her office. I will be adding cards and stamps to the pockets. I hope she likes it and finds it useful.

Wish me luck on the DT call.
Thanks for stopping by today.

Throwback Thursday Challenge with Emma

Hi Everyone,  You know I am on a quest to use all those Cricut cartridges that I have been collecting. Well I went looking for a good challenge and I knew I would find one a My Creative Time with Emma. Her Throwback Thursday Challenge this week is to use a retired cartridge. I used Paper Pups cartridge and a My Creative Time stamp set called This and That.

Here is a close up of the sentiment.
That is how I feel about all of you. Having all my blog friends makes my life SWEET!

Cricut 360

Hi Everyone, I am so excited. I had the lucky number and won last week at Cricut 360.  I just love that challenge because it gets me using my Cricut and all my cartridges. Did I tell you I bought 7 more at Menards? Menards is a home improvement store here in WI. They have this crazy sale this weekend. The cartridges are $24.95 with a $20 rebate. The rule is four per household. So three I will be paying $24.95 but even that is a good price for a full cartridge. I went a little nuts. When I got home I realized the rebate is an in-store credit. I wish I had all that credit two weeks ago when I bought a new washer there. Oh well, I am sure I can make use of it. With the credit it is about $14 a cartridge.
I spent all day Saturday using my Cricut. This is the card I made for this weeks challenge at Cricut 360. It is called Old West.  I have had the Old West cartridge for a long time and I haven't used it much.
I was so happy to see this challenge. Old West not something I wouldn't normally do but I am really happy with the card.  I thought it turned out kinda fun.
Oh and of course I made another big mistake at Menards. I bought one cartridge I already had. So be watching I may be having a give away. I guess you could say I had Cricut Fever! LOL

Have a wonderful Sunday, and Thanks for stopping,

Stamp Scrap and Doodle Satuday

Hi Everyone, Happy Saturday!
It is time for another fun challenge at SSDS. This week we have a Photo Inspiration for you to follow. We are being sponsored by the amazing Robyn's Fetish.
Here is the Photo:
Here is my interpretation of the photo.
The Robyn's Fetish image is called Fanny da Kitty. Isn't he adorable? The paper is from a Robyn's Fetish digital pack called Oriental Beauty Papers. I don't have a lot of experience with digital paper but this was so much fun and easy to use. I sized the paper to 4 X 5.25 added the kitty to the center. Then printed it out, folded it and colored the kitty. I printed a second kitty, colored, cut, and then popped it up. The flowers are made with paper from the same paper pack. They were so much fun to make.
I hope you will join us this weeks at SSDS for our challenge. The winner can choose either 5 digital stamps or 4 digital stamps and 1 paper pack. Fun Right?

Cricut Car Decals-A Card

I just love this cartridge for cards. I think the layers are a little tricky.
Here is the video I made to show you how I use the "Car Decals" cartridge for a card. I still am learning a lot about that cartridge.  I hope this helps some of you who have the cartridge but have not used it yet.
If you have any tips on using this cartridge I would love to hear them.
