A Sassy Studio Design Card

Hi Everyone,
The card I have for you today is made from one of the free images from Sassy Studio Design. I made it for the challenge that was to use strips and poke a dots. I am just three weeks too late. They have a new challenge up on Thursdays and a free images on Friday at Paper Craft Planet. They have some really fun images.

I was really in a pink mood when I made this card. That was a week ago. Now I wish I would have made the computer red because Monday I got a new red MacBook Air. It is a very early birthday present. Hubby knocked my old one off a table by accident and the screen broke.  The cost to fix it was a lot. So we put the money toward a new one. I am amazed at the changes that have been made in these fun machines in just four years. They keep getting smaller and smaller and can do more and more.  The best part is I am going to take all the one to one classes I can to know what the heck I am doing with this pretty little machine.

Now, I am going to head over to SSD and see what the challenge is this week at Sassy Studio Design.

Stamp Scarp and Doodle Saturday!

Hi Everyone, Happy Saturday! It is time for another fun challenge at SSDS. This week the challenge is to use your favorite color or colors. I am so excited because our sponsor is one of my favorite crafters.
Emma from My Creative Time  is our sponsor and you could win this wonderful set.

Home Sewn
I have been following Emma for a long time and have learned sooooo much from her videos. She came out with her own stamps about a year ago and they are wonderful. She is so clever. I know you won't be disappointed with any of her stamps or dies.

Here is the card I made with my favorite colors.

I really love a lot of colors but I guess my number one color is red. The sentiment is from a My Creative Time set called This and That. I really believe it is important to "Laugh Everyday!"

Now get out your favorite color and join us at Stamp, Scarp and Doodle Saturday. First though, be sure to head over and check out the rest of the DTs projects for some wonderful inspirations.

I am looking for more sponsors for our SSDS challenges. So if any of you have a product and would like to sponsor us please just let me know.

CDAC Progressive Freebie Challenge

Hi Everyone,
I am back at the cabin in the cold, rain and no water. It really is quite cozy if you can believe that.
Today I have a card I made using one of the free digital images from the Crafters Digital Art Center.

I drew lines to color her coat. The sentiment is a SU one. I just didn't ink the brackets. I think she is one of a kind. LOL
Well I am off to help my hubby cut wood.
Have a great day!

Altered Trinket Box

Hi Everyone,
This is my first post as a LESSology DT. I am so excited. The challenge at LESSolog today is to alter a trinket box. Altering a box is one of my favorite things to do.
I started with a 90 cent box that I got at Goodwill. I sanded, painted, and inked it.  Then added some designer paper.

Next I  added the embellishments. The lace is from my St Vinnie's lace haul. The image is from Graph 45 paper. "Dream" was cut with my cricut.

Now for a peek at the trinkets inside. I trimmed and stitched some felt to line the inside.

This was so much fun.
Here is a little video I made.

Our Sponsor is Market Street Stamps.

Market Street Stamps, LLC was founded in January 2010 with an excitement and growing need for stamps that were unique (no clip art here!), easy to use (they're clear, but stamp like buttah!), and durable. We use genuine trade-quality photopolymer that is guaranteed to stamp through thousands and thousands of impressions. Our goal is to provide crafters of all levels with fun images and coordinating supplies for any time of year! We provide same day shipping, speedy customer service, and inspiration from one heckuva design team (if we do say so, ourselves). You can find us here blogging daily, on Facebook, andTwitter, too!

This is the prize you could win!

I sure hope I gave you some ideas and that you will join in on the challenge at LESSology. Link up your creations in LESSology Challenge #2: Altered Trinket Box.

Remember to do something you enjoy today.

Another Dog Card

Hi Everyone,
Here is another card I made when I was making cards for the dog or woof challenge last week over at Tacky Tuesday.
Just a fun little easy hello card.
Well we head home from the cabin today. I can't wait to  have a long hot shower and sleep in my own bed but it sure was fun spending time with my friend. We talked and went to antique stores and laughed a lot. All things that are good for the spirit.
Have a wonderful day and...

Wedding Card

Hi Everyone, Last week I was in Las Vegas and now I am at the cabin with no water and one little wood stove. What a difference. I would say I like the cabin better. I would be a little better if the plumber didn't turn the water off already. He had to because the pipes would have froze last night. I am just happy I didn't freeze! LOL
I am sorry I haven't been visiting blogs and watching You Tubes. I am having a hard time just going through all the email while I am on these mini vacations. I go home Sunday but I am back up here on Wednesday again. After that I should be back in the swing of things.

On to my card.
I have a hard time making wedding cards. I don't like them to look to cute but I want them to have something to do with a wedding. I used Tie the Knot for this card.
Here is a peek lining I made.
I am very happy with the way it turned out.

Stop back tomorrow for Stamp, Scrap and Doodle Saturday. We have a fun challenge and prizes.

I hope you get to do something you love today!

Sassy Studio Design

Hi Everyone,
Did you get in on the free images from Sassy Studio Design last weekend at Paper Craft Planet?
Their Dare to be Sassy Thursday challenge this week is called 4 B's You are to use brads, buttons, bows and bling.
I used one of the free images.
I have everything but I didn't like a bow on the buttons I used so they are kinda knots.
I cut the words out using CC Billionaire and went over it with a glitter pen. The inside say treat. She is colored with Copic markers.
If you have any questions about my card please leave a comment.

Throwback Thursday

Hi Everyone,
I am so happy with my order from My Creative Time. I had to make something right way. I checked The Throwback Thursday Challenge and saw that it was a Cricutless Challenge with the colors Green, Purple, Orange and Black. So this is what I made.

I used My Creative Time - Small Talk,  My Creative Time - Gift Card Holder.  The cat is from Petaloo.com. The paper is K&Company Kelly Panacci Halloween. Kitty has green eyes stickle eyes but they just didn't show up in the light when I took the picture. I got a little heavy with the black stickles on the right side but it is Halloween and messy makes it look scary. Right? Well, that is my story and I am sticking to it.

This is headed to a friend with a Starbucks gift card inside.

Have a wonderful day and remember to do something that you love.

Another CDAC Progressive Card

Hi There,
Here is another card I made with one of the free images from Crafter's Digital Art Center's Progressive Challenge. I love this image by Ellephantastic.

The sentiment is from My Creative Time set called Encouraging Quotes. When I chose to stay home with my sons, and then home schooled them, I would have been trilled to receive this card. It was a hard decision but I will never regret the time I spent with them.
The paper is from my scraps. The lace is from my lace haul.
I am entering this in the challenge at Sweet Stamps.com. The challenge there is to use Lace.

CDAC Progressive Freebie Challenge

Hi, Have you checked out the Crafter's Digital Art Center's Progressive Challenge yet? It is so much fun. This time there are 5 free digital images and you have two weeks to do a project for one or all of the. Just do one project and you will get the next set of images. The images are back to school this week.  I don't think the project has to be back to school.
I made a book mark with the image by Jens Digi Stamps.

The bookmark was cut with the Black Letter Cricut Cartridge and the clear packaging that comes around the CC boxes (the blister pack).

I got the idea to use the blister pack from Tammy Skinner at Creative Critters Cricut Club. She has so many wonderful ideas.
Here is a video of what I did.

I would like to also enter this in the Fantabulous Cricut Challenge Me Monday #76 challenge. The challenge is Back to School and to use ABC' and 123's.  I am a big advocate of getting children to read. When I taught first grade I would send 5 books home every night with my students. At first the parents thought I was nuts but then they ended up thanking me. The books were not long and they were at the child's reading level.  It was a very successful program.

Have a wonderful day and be sure to do something you love.
