Christmas Card Challenge #4

Hello Out there!!!!! Well did you all make it through Christmas? I still have one my Christmas next Sunday when my granddaughter and her family come to town. That should be a lot of fun.
Oh my goodness I just noticed that I have 600 followers. I am very excited about that.  Thank you Audrey for being number 600.
I am getting some things ready and hope to have a shop page on my blog up and running on New Years Day. I will be selling cuts that I make with my Cricut and the die cuts that I own. I am hoping to raise a little extra spending money to afford this hobby I love so much. If you look at my pages you will see one called Cricut in the house. I have all the cartridges I own listed. If there is anything you want cut from one of those cartridges please just ask. I think my prices will be fair because I just want to get back some of the money I have invested. If anyone as any suggestions please let me know.
OK on to my Christmas Card Challenge #4 card.
The challenge is a sketch challenge this week.
Here is the sketch.

Here is my card.
I used a flower I made early in Dec and didn't use. Some paper from my Christmas scraps that I believe is by Authentique and MBs Treasurista vine ribbon.

There is still time if you haven't stopped over to the Lindy's Stamp Gang Christmas Linky Party to like my project. It is number 21. I could really use your vote.

Merry Christmas!

I have one more Christmas gift for you. Plus there is a party going on at Lindy's Stamp Gang
The project with the most "likes" will receive a gift certificate to Lindy's Stamp Gang Store. This is one I would love to win. So if you do like my project, and you are not going to join in, I would love it if you would go over here and like my project.
Here is a video of how I made it.

I used Lindy's Magicals - Rudolph's Nose
and Medieval Gold Glitz Spritz. It is so very glittery!

Christmas Gift for My Neighbor

Happy Christmas Eve!
Have you every heard of Amish Friendship Bread? Well I was given some starter that I took care of for 10 days. During that time I thought the bread would be a great gift to give to my two neighbors. So that is what I did. I made the bread in some of those 50 cent Michael's ceramic pans. Next I copied the recipe off the internet. You can find it at The Happy Zombie. Then I made containers/envelopes for the starter. I also gave them some of my home made peanut brittle. I did a video on how to make that last year. Did any of you try it?
Anyway here is a video showing the way I wrapped Amish Friendship Bread.

Little Haul

I have been meaning to post this for about two weeks.
I bought some appliqués from Sherry over at CricketsDaughter1 on You Tube. They are so beautiful and Sherry has very fair prices for all the work she does finding these dresses and removing the appliqués.
Then I have ordered some things from Blitsy. I am really pleased with their service and the low prices.  You can earn $10 for everyone who orders that you refer. If you sign up and order here as one of my referred customers I earn $10.
Here is a video to show you what I am babbling about.

Christmas Card Challenge

Hi Everyone,  I learned about a challenge blog were you make a Christmas card every week from Susan at Cricut and Grasshopper. I think this is the best idea. It is called Christmas Card Challenge. This is already week three. I made some extra bell cards and this card so I have two. I will have to come up with another one to catch up. Anyway this week the challenge is Non-Traditional Colors. To me that means anything but red and green and my card is blue and silver.  I made extras and I needed to use one of these.  I will need to write down who I send it to so they don't get it again next year. That would be just like me. LOL
Here is a video showing how I made this card. I had the camera upside down.  Then in iPhoto I flipped it. So much easier to do when you don't have the tripod between your arms.
I would love to know what you think.

Stamp Scarp and Doodle Saturday!

Wow one week to go. Christmas comes faster and faster every year.
Well we have a great challenge for you this week at Stamp, Scrap and Doodle.  We want you to use bells on or in your creations. Remember it doesn't have to be a card.
Our wonderful sponsor this week is Paper Pretties
The prize this week will be 6 digital images of the winners choice.

I chose this adorable image called Coco Digi.

Ok I am playing around with the picture and I am not sure which one looks the best. this next one is bright but you can't see the bow with the bell so good.

This next one is just a little lighter than the first one. I could spend hours just picking a picture for this blog.

Here is what the inside looks like.

I am so happy with the way this card turned out. (Not so much the pictures) It was so much fun I am going to make more just like it. I used my Gypsy to make the card base. The red is Riding Hood red from SU. The DP is from a Christmas stack I had. "Jolly" and the "bell" die is a set from Lil Inker Designs. I just love the set. I got it a month ago and it took me close to an hour to find it today. I didn't give up because I want to use that bell die. Really isn't this the cutest card I have every made????? Oh I did go back an stamp "Have a" and "Holiday" above and below Jolly. You really need to see it in person to see how stinkin cute it really is.

I hope you will join us with your bells at SSDS this week. There is a great prize.  Oh and SSDS will not be having a challenge again for two weeks. We are taking the next two weeks off for the holiday.

Have a wonderful weekend!

LESSology Challenge #8 Altered Frame

Hi Everyone it is time for another challenge at LESSology. Our sponsor this week is Really Reasonable Ribbon. The prize is a pack of Beautiful Ribbon and Baker's Twine, a $15 value.

I needed to do something about this...
My hubby hung this on the door to remind me to turn down the heat before I leave the house. It worked great but I thought I needed to make something a little more attractive than a piece of paper taped to the door. So I made this...

The frame is one of the dollar ones from Michael's but I got it at a garage sale for $0.10. It had some paint on it but it was easy enough to sand and paint over. Then I cut the word winter using Gypsy Wanderings and glued it to some 2008 DCWV Christmas paper. Next I cut some snowflakes using MFT Die-namics. The door is metal so I put two long magnetic strips on the back and woooolaaaa I now have a pretty reminder to turn down the heat before I leave the house.

Here is a video of what I did.

There are so many things you can do with an old frame. I hope you will join us this week at the LESSology challenge blog with your Altered Frame.  I can't wait to see what you create. You can check out what the other DT's have created.

Stamp Scarp and Doodle Saturday!

Happy Saturday!
This week the challenge at Stamp, Scarp and Doodle Saturday is Silver and Gold.
I decided to make a gift tag with this wonderful image from Deliciousdoodles.
I was motivated by all the Tim Holtz tags I was seeing on the web. I used some TH crackle paint on the base paper which was something I picked up at St. Vincent de Paul's. I got it in two colors. The holly is from a TH die.

I hope you will join us this week at SSDS. All you need is a little silver and gold on your creation.

Have a wonderful weekend and thanks for stopping,

A Thank You Card

Hi Everyone, Were has this week gone? It is Thursday evening and I haven't posted all week. What am I doing all day. Well for one thing I spend too much time reading blogs and watching all the wonderful YT crafting videos.
Today I subbed in my friend's first grade classroom and I am so tired. I really don't know how I did that for 22 years. They just suck all the energy right out of me. LOL I must be getting old. It was a sweet class and I got to do a craft project with them.

I do have a card to show you. I want to make a bunch of thank you cards. My dear friends were so kind and I want to let them know how much I appreciate them.
I treated myself to some MFT images and dies during their last sale. The image is MFT Pure Innocence - Aim High. I paper pieced her dress and colored her with copic markers. The sentiment is from SU. The card shape is made with a Spellbinders die Labels Twenty-two I think. I used the same shape in white on the inside. That way I could write my thank you.

I am working on the lighting in the room were I take the pictures of my cards. I hope to get my indoor pictures to look better than this.
