Roxyfur's Card-Spiration Week 6

I made another card for Roxyfur's Card-Spiration Challenge. This is week 6. If you are not familiar with her challenge it is about finding a card in a book, magazine or on line that inspires you. Then you use what you have and create your own.
Here is the card I made this week.

I got my inspirations from the January 2012 Cards magazine. The original card was by Clare Prezzia. It is on page 67. The paper was from Cosmo Cricket Material Girl. The music sheet was from an old song book. The stamp sets were SU Sew Suite, Four Frames and My Creative Time Home Sewn. The ribbon was hand dyed seam binding. I created the flowers  by gathered about 2 inches and knotted the thread. Then moved an inch and gathered again.

Here is the video. I don't know what is going on with my camera. The focus and sound go in and out.  If you know how to help me fix this please leave a comment.

ATC and Holder

I am swapping an ATC with a friend. She has been so wonderful in helping me with the SSDS blog.  Here name is Susan and her blog is The Stampin' Kat. She runs challenges and sponsorships for Robyn's Fetish.
Here is the ATC I made for her.
The image and the butterflies are digital images from Art Tea Life.  There are some amazing images there.  I am entering this in Wicked Wednesday ATC Challenge.
Here is the back.
The tag pulls out and has my informations on it.

I wanted to send something a little extra. So I am sending Susan the ATC Holder/gift card holder I made.

This is Graphic 45 paper. I love this sheet.
This video shows how I made it. If you have any questions please leave a comment or email me.

Manly Card

Happy Saturday!

This week the challenge is called Manly Card. We are looking for cards or projects created with a male theme.

Our wonderful sponsor this week is Bugaboo Digi Stamps.
bugaboo+new+logo
I can spend hours looking, and laughing at these adorable stamps. If you are unfamiliar with Bugaboo Stamps you must check them out. You are going to laugh out loud!
The winner of this challenge will receive 7 free images or a $21 value. Amazing Right?

Here is the card I created using Gus.

This just cracked me up. My hubby didn't get it. Poor guy he doesn't text.
I colored the image with copic marker and use the Diamond Plate embossing folder on a foil base layer. The base card is a SU gray. I added some brads that look like screws and ribbon that came with foot prints on it. The inside sentiment has some black distress stickle around it. They remind me of whiskers.

I know male cards can be a challenge but this is a great reason to get some in your stash. I hope you will join us at SSDS this week.

Have a wonderful weekend!

Christmas Cards

Here are my two Christmas cards for this week.

Christmas Card Challenge  week #12 is to use Paisley and I though of this pretty Graphic 45 paper right away. I used one of my new stamp sets. You can see all of those in the video below.

I used the sketch from Merry Monday Challenge #8

This next card is one I made for a Christmas challenges last week and I didn't get it posted. I am not sure which challenge it was.
I used one of Heather Ellis's adorable Innocent images.  The image is colored with Copic markers and the Joy is a die cut. The card glimmers. I spayed it with SU all-Purpose Frost White mixed with alcohol.

My dear sweet hubby gave me a gift card to Archivers for Valentine's day. Wednesday they had a 40% off sale on all of their stamps.  So I went shopping. I love what I got, but now I am thinking that all the new stuff will come in and I used up all my money. LOL  I really did had fun. I was sooooo happy he got me that instead of roses. I think he gets "IT", don't you?

Here is what I got.

Be sure to stop back tomorrow for the next SSDS challenge.

Graphic 45 Random Crafts of Kindness

I am joining Graphic 45's Ramdom Crafts of Kindness Challenge.

I made this zipper pouch to surprise a new friend. She thinks I am just sending her some flash cards. They are on the inside with a few other surprises.  You know I love making these and it is so much fun to send a surprise to a crafter.  I just hope she doesn't check my blog before she gets this in the mail.
I needed to post it because the challenge ends today.

I used Graphic 45, a vintage zipper and rick rack. I made a hanging charm and added some ribbon. If you look real hard you will see a name on this.

Roxyfur's week 5 Challenge

I joined Roxyfur's challenge again this week over on You Tube. She is calling it Greeting Card-Spiration.  You just pick a card in a book, magazine or on the web and create it with the things you have. It is really a lot of fun and gets you to use your stuff and stock up on cards.
I made some sympathy cards. I hate to make them when I have to. So I thought it would be a good idea to have some on hand.
Here is a picture of the cards I made.

Here is a video of how I made these card.

The original is from the book A Card a Day.  It is found on page 110 and was created by Dawn McVey.

OH and the Decorah Eagles have laid two eggs. There is a live broadcast and you can watch them all day. It is so cool.
This is a picture from last year! I took a ton of screen shots.

Graphic 45 Design Team 2012 Audition

Oh my goodness wouldn't it be amazing to be on Graphic 45's Design Team? I LOVE their paper so much.  The graphics are amazing and the quality of the paper is wonderful to work with.

As part of the audition they ask that you post a minimum of 6 projects.

I created four new cards and I have 7 of my favorite projects using Graphic 45 paper. It was easy creating four new cards because I have been hoarding my G45 paper. Creating is easy when you have beautiful paper.

This first one I also created for the Merry Monday Challenge #7. It is a sketch challenge this week.

I just love the vintage images on the Graphic 45 paper.

This card could be for any occasion. It make me think of my Grandmother who lived in Atlantic City in the 1930's.

I just love the little bunnies on this paper.  This is from Once Upon a Spring Time. The hand carved bunny has been one of my favorite things for many years and when I saw this paper I just had to have it.  I cut out one of the images and popped it up on the die cut. Then I used Glossy Accents to make the image pop. The bow is seam binding that I dyed.

I used Once Upon a Spring Time paper to create this card. I cut one of the fairies out, covered her with glassy accents and popped her up above the same one on the paper. The flower I created with a cheese cloth like material and an earring.  This card makes me think of a fairy garden.

Here are 7  of my favorite projects.

This looks like Graphic 45 paper but this is my Grandmother.  She had a flower shop on the Boardwalk in Atlantic City in the 1930's.

Here is the video for this project.

Here is the link to this card.

Thanks for stopping and taking the time to look around.
Wish me luck!

Happy Valentine's Day!
I have been watching Roxy and Monica do this wonderful challenge on YT and I just had to join in the fun. Roxy is roxyfur and Monica is bcdoula on YT

My inspiration came from Cards Magazine February 2012 page 20. The card was by Shaunte Wadley.
Here is my card

Here is the video I made showing how I made this card.

Thank you Roxy and Monica for giving me the inspirations to take this challenge.

Have a great Wednesday every one.

Christmas Card Challenge Week #11

I am really getting into doing these year long Christmas card challenges. Someone should have a clean your closets and drawers challenge ones a week and maybe I would get on top of my house work. LOL
Any way this week at the Christmas Card Challenge blog there is a wonderful sketch.

AND
Yesterday I was shopping at Heather Ellis's Etsy shop and bought 4 of her darling Pure Innocence digital images. They are on sale for $1.65. I just love coloring her images with Copic markers.

So here is my card.

Isn't this just the cutest card. Max sat still so I could get the coloring just right on this sweet little kitty. The image is called Purr Button 016. The die cut I used to cut him out is one I just got from MFT. I almost made him to big for the cut but it worked perfect. I might go in and make the image a tiny bit smaller in my file. That is what I love about digital images. You can make them any size you want. The inside is lined with white copy paper and punched with the MS loopy ribbon punch and stamped Merry Christmas with a SU stamp.

Thank you Stephanie I am loving this challenge! The best part is all the cards I am collecting.

Thanks for stopping

The challenge is to used Lace and Butterflies on your card.  The challenge runs until March 7th and there well be two winners. The prize is a set of six Flexmarkers. I would love to be one of the winners.

Christmas Card

Today I worked on two Christmas cards for tow different challenges.
This first one is for Christmas Card Challenge Week #10 the challenge this week is to Create Your Own Background. I got this TH Embossing folder after Christmas and I am so happy to have a chance to use it. I embossed some green Coredinations Paper, sanded it and layered it on really cute BasicGrey paper from the Jovial Paper Pad. I kinda covered it up but I did punch out some things from the middle before I glued it all together. I used the same paper in the inside and for the circle around 25 and the little guy at the top.
Here is the inside

My next card is for Merry Monday Challenge #6  They had this wonderful sketch.

Here is my card for that challenge.

I used the same paper pack and a couple of Amuse stamp sets. I colored the image with Copic markers. Then added Baby Blue stickles to the ice and snowflakes.

Now I have  two more cards for my Christmas stash. I am so glad I am doing this. It will be fun when Christmas time comes and I have a ton of cards ready to go.

Have a great weekend and be sure to check out the new challenge tomorrow at SSDS.
