Rolodex Card A Day 304

Happy Halloween!
This is the last of the Halloween Rolodex cards. I sure do love creating cards with this theme.
This card began awhile ago when I was trying out some molding paste, black gesso and a stencil. I had way to much mix up so I made a couple of back grounds. Then I stenciled an owl and sprinkled Dazzling Diamonds on it while it was wet. I used some stickles on the moon part of the stencil.  I added some Halloween ribbon and rub-ons.
Here is the process video

I hope you have enjoyed the Halloween RCAD as much as I have making them.

Happy Halloween!

Rolodex Card A Day 300

Wow, I reached 300 Rolodex Cards A Day! You might know this would be the one I messed up the video with a blurry recordings. I didn't know until it was too late to re-do and I said at the beginning of this adventure, "no re-do." Learn from your mistakes. So if you watch the video you will see what I am talking about.

I think 300 cards calls for a give away!
The give away starts today and will close Tuesday, November 10th at noon.

Here is what I would like you to do.
1. Be a member of my blog and a follower of my You Tube Channel.
2. Leave a comment stating that you want to be in the give away.
3. For an extra entry share my give away on your Blog and/or You Tube Channel. Please let me know if you do spread the word. Your name will go in the pot an extra time or two.
4. If you go to my You Tube channel you will get another entry.
That’s all.

Here is the bad video but if you watched until the end you will see some of the mix medium goodies you could win. I will be adding more over the next two weeks so stay tuned.

I am so sorry about the quality of this video.

Thank you so much for your support and encouragement during the past 300 days.

Rolodex Card A Day 299

I really can not believe that I have kept up with my card a day. It has been so much fun. Only 66 to go. I just hope I can keep going. There is a granddaughter due early in December.
Todays card is another Halloween one that I made to go with a fun little Halloween quote that I found.
When witches go riding
And black cats are see,
The moon laughs and whispers
‘Tis near Halloween

Here is the process video.

I did a lot of fast forward and cutting to this video. It was over 30 min and I have it down to 4:55. LOL I do try to keep them short. I know you have other things to do besides watching me.

Happy Crafting!

November Your Paper Pantry Challenge and Swap

This is the 11th challenge I have posted at YPP. Everyone who has played a long now has 55 handmade cards to share with family and friends.
These little Reindeer were created with my Silhouette ( cut Design ID #22922 ). This can hold a gift card, a check or cash and then it is a book marker.
This video tells about the challenge.

It is also time for the Artsy Fartsy Ticket Swap. The theme is Christmas Flowers.
Here are my tickets.

Here is a process video on how I created these.

I found a big roll of dark green velvet ribbon at St Vinnie's and it is perfect for making leaves. They flowers were cut from felt and a Tim Holtz die.
Come on over to Your Paper Pantry and join in the fun. It is only $12 a  year and that is the best crafting money I spend all year.

I hope you are enjoying a wonderful weekend.
Thanks for stopping by,

Rolodex Card A Day 298

Rolodex Card A Day 297

RCAD 297 was created using a Silhouette and some designer paper (the skull).  I just love that I can buy a cut from the Silhouette store for $.99. The cuts I use today were only $.75.  Silhouette has many sales throughout the year.  I now have these cuts forever and I can make them any size I need. Can you tell I am very happy with my Silhouette?
Here is the process video.

Thanks for watching and if you have any questions please ask.
I hope you are have a wonderful weekend.

Rolodex Card A Day 296

The inspiration for RCAD 296 came from a napkin I found at a thrift store in Montana.
The lady brought back memories of a show I loved when I was very little called My Miss Brooks.  Plus I am always miss placing things.
Here is the process video.

I hope you enjoy this funny little card. I really am having fun creating with things I find.  Thank you for visiting my blog!

Rolodex Card A Day 295

The inspiration for RCAD 295 came from a song by Bing Crosby called A Pocketful of Dreams. I was in the car listening to Pandora. When this song came on I knew it had to be one of my RCAD.
Here are the lyrics to the song.

I've got a pocketful of dreams
I'm no millionaire
But I'm not the type to care
Cause I've got a pocketful of dreams.

It's my universe
Even with an empty purse
Cause I've got a pocketful of dreams.

I wouldn't take the wealth of Wall Street
For a road where nature trods
And I calculate that I'm worth my weight
In goldenrods.

Lucky, lucky me
I can live in luxury
Cause I've got a pocketful of dreams.

Here is the process video.

I hope all of the dreams in you pocket come true!

Rolodex Card A Day 293

Well this card was an inspiration I got when I woke up and realized it was time to clean up.  I don't know about you but I am very messy when I am crafting and just living.  I get everything put away and cleaned up and with in an hour it is right back to the way it was. So I think I need a sign that say. Excuse the mess that is how I create best! LOL Well I have one now. This card may be framed and hung on my front door.
Here is a quick process video for you.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you have a wonderful Monday!

Rolodex Card A Day 292

Rolodex Card A Day 292 was inspired by Monica who is bcdoula  on You Tube.  Thank you Monica for reminding me to put my records on. Music dose touch my soul.
It is so easy to forget what makes our soul feel free and happy. Music is one of those things that do that for me.
Here is the process video for RCAD 292.

Rolodex Card A Day 291

Rolodex Card A Day 291 was created with the same background technique that I used on the Raisin Boat Challenge card the other day.
The quote says, "No spring nor summer beauty hath such grace as I have seen in on autumnal face." ~John Donne~
I had fun with a face and a leaf stamp on this card. I added glossy accents to his eyes and mustache to make them pop.
Here is the process video.

I hope you are having a beautiful Autumn. I feel like we are having a second one because the leaves are turning were we live now. It has been just about 3 weeks since the turned up at the cabin. This is really a beautiful time of year.
Thanks for stopping by and I hope you are having a wonderful creative weekend.

Rolodex Card A Day 289

Rolodex Card A Day 289 was about having fun sewing and playing with my sewing machine. When I first started to do paper art I said I would never sew on my cards or paper and then I remembered, that is how I learned to use a sewing machine. We were give paper with lines to sew on to learn how to use the machine. It was fun to think back to 7th grade when I was learning to sew. I am so thankful for those classes and I feel sorry for the young people today who are not given the opportunity to learn how to use and create with a sewing machine.
Sewing really dose soothe the soul!
Here is the process video.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you got some creative ideas from my blog and video.

Rolodex Card A Day 288

I had fun with Rolodex Card A Day 288.
I love the saying, "Your the Cats Pajamas!" I think this cat in his pajamas is so cute. I don't know were the image is from. I stamped it a long time ago at a card making event.
Here is the process video.

Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful crafty day!

Raisin Boat Challenge #28 Thankful

Hello There! Well it is time for a another Raisin Boat Challenge and they have a new stamp set out that is perfect to use for this challenge.  The set is called Happy Thanksgiving.

The challenge this month is "Thankful" I didn't get to use this set on my card because I needed to do it before this was released. I used ThankfulArboretum Leaves, and Growing Love and a fun background technique that I learned at Splitcoastampers called Alcohol Marker Marbling.

Here are two cards I made.

Here is the video.

Challenge #28 Is titled, "Thankful"... Now is a great time to reflect on all that you are thankful for.  You can create a journal page, a scrapbook page, or cards to have on hand to show your appreciation for a kind act or gift, or place cards for your Thanksgiving dinner.

You may just win a FREE stamp set of your choice! You can enter as often as you like. Use any set you have (you don't have to limit your entry to Raisin Boat stamps), but if you use a Raisin Boat stamp set, it will count as two entries. That gives you twice the chance to win a FREE stamp set of your choice!

Remember you can rent or buy sets from Raisin Boat. No guilt in using a set for just one project, such as a challenge. We look forward to seeing your creations!

Here are the upcoming challenges for 2014 to help you get the perfect sets into your rental Pick List:

October: Thankful
November: Christmas

This current Thankful challenge will close on the 12th of November. I hope you will share what you create.

Thanks for stopping and happy crafting!

Rolodex Card A Day 287

Rolodex Card A Day 287 was inspired by a quote from the play Wicked, "Are we born wicked or is wicked thrust upon us?" I love that. The framed witch and web are  Silhouette cuts.

Here is the process video!

Thanks for stopping by and have a wickedly Happy Day!

Rolodex Card A Day 286

Well it is Monday and if we followed our schedule we are headed home. Right now it is Saturday night and we are in Livingston MT. Tomorrow we hope to go to Yellowstone. We had a great time with the children and grandchildren but we are both wiped out.

I did a little art  in a journal I started but I know I can't get a good picture of it in the hotel so that will have to be later. We were pretty busy every minute.
Here is Rolodex Card A Day 286 that I did ahead of time.
This was a quick card I made from trash at the cabin and a real piece of cedar.
Here is the video.

Rolodex Card A Day 284

RCAD 284  was inspired by a tag I found with the quote from Pablo Picasso, "Every child is an artist. The problem is how to remain an artist once he grows up."
I really believe that we all have artistic abilities but we forget about them, and don't cultivate them. Also many negative comments along the way stop us from trying.
Here is the process video.

I do hope you get your colors out and keep playing.
Have a great day!
