Stamp TV Potluck Friday 24 an Taylored Expressions 76

A very dear friend of mine has a birthday on Tuesday. Her two favorite things are purple and chocolate. I was trying to think of something special to give her. Yesterday LeAnne at Wee Inkling shared a wonderful hostess gift that she made. It was a set of note cards. I decided to make a dozen note cards all in purple. I finished seven yesterday. Today I got up and decided to go to Gina K’s store to buy a couple of the newly released stamps and fill up my punch card. I needed inspiration for the last five cards, really. This card is made with a stamp from the new Stamp TV kit called Signs of Autumn. Oh, yea I filled up the card and then some. The new stamps are fantastic. Take a look. I used this Friday’s Stamp TV Pot Luck challenge to guided me. The challenge was to use a sunflower stamp and the bleach technique. I stamped the image with Versa Mark on purple card stock and heat embossed it with black embossing powder. Then I painted the image with bleach. It was fun to watch the color disappear as it dried. The sentiment is from a set called “Say it with Flowers” from Stamp TV by Melanie Muenchinger. I used SU whisper white ribbon, and rhinestones by Kaiser. The purple dp is by Paper Pizzas. I used Memento grape jelly ink to edge the image. I made two of these cards. That was all I needed to get the idea for the last three cards. The second picture is the set of cards I am giving my friend for her birthday. I am also giving her chocolate. I hope she likes her note cards. Let me know what you think. Thanks for stopping.

PS. I just notice that this is the same sketch over at Taylored Expressions 76

Welcome to the World Max

This card is going to Max. I think that is what he will be called. A sweet couple I work with had a 10 lb. baby boy on Wednesday. His name is Maximus Lee. He has two darling dainty sisters that are very close in age and I think the oldest is 3. Dad teachers kindergarten and mom is the elementary guidance counselor. They are two of the nicest people you could meet.
I made this card with Hero Arts Cute Critters stamps. The challenge at Hero Arts this week is tags. The tag in this card can be a book mark. The paper is Making Memories Animal Crackers Jack. I think this is the cutest paper. Max is made with SU build a brad and CTMH stamps. The layout is from Card Positioning systems. I love to have sketches to follow. They really help.
Thanks for stopping and have a great day.

Cupcakes are Food, Right?

I made this card for Pot Luck Friday at Stamp TV. The challenge was to make a card with food. The base card is SU Real Red. The cherrie paper is Mary Engelbreit’s called Cherries on White. The stamp is from Gina K called 100% Sweet by Rupa Shevde. The little red cherries on top of the cupcakes are from Jenni Bowlin. They were in a circle like a flower and I broke them to make them up to make it look like cherries. They are the same ones I used on the poinsettia card the other day. The rick rack is by Wrigths. The green is from a DCWV pack called The Spring Stack. I colored the cupcakes with Copic markers and attached them with dimensionals. I cut the circles with a Creative Memories circle cutter and used a SU punch for the red behind the circle. The “Life is short” is punched with SU punches. On the inside I stamped, “Have a sweet birthday!” The layout is the sketch for Taylored Expressions Cupcake Challenge #75. I am getting to these two challenges late. Where has this week gone?
Today is my fourth wedding anniversary. Happy anniversary Gary! If you are reading this.

Pile it On

This is my Pile It On card for this week. It works for:
Pile It On - water colors
Our Creative Corner - sketch
Cup Cake Craft - colors pink, green, brown animals & flowers.
Saturday I went to Archiver's and found the cutest Penny Black stamp set called Critter Party. I was so happy when I saw it I almost did the happy dance right there in the store. I have been looking for a Penny Black stamp with a hedge hog for a long time. I love her little critters. I stamped him with SU chocolate brown. Then colored with SU water color pencils and used a Tombow blending pen. The pink, green and brown paper was in my scrap box so I don’t know what it is. The pink ribbon is from SU. I did a lot of jobs today. I took two carpets to get bound, cleaned the garage, pulled weeds, vacuumed the car and truck. Last I cleaned my scrap box and made this card. I have a hard time throwing away scraps of card stock and designer paper. I do use my scraps but they get to be a big mess. My new way to keep them organized is to have folders standing up in a small plastic shoe box. The first folder has white and beige colors, next orange and yellow, then pink and red, next black and brown, then purple, next blue, then green. The solid colors are in the front and the prints are in the back. This is just for the small scrap. I have another crate for larger pieces. I need to go through that crate tomorrow. Now I have something fun to do. I won another stamp at Stamp TV. I did do a happy dance when I found that out. I am going over to Stamp TV now and pick out my new stamp.
Thanks for stopping. Let me know what you think or how you are doing. I love to read your comments. Maybe you have a suggestion for organizing paper. I would love to learn a better way.

Marbles?

I know I always say that each card I make was so much fun but this techniques was REALLY fun. Ginna K’s challenge at Stamp TV is to use the technique she taught called, “Marble Background.” I didn’t have any re-inkers so I picked some up this weekend. I got a set with 5 or 6 by Posh Rainbow. I used red and green. You put drops of re-inker and marbles in a box and shake to get ink on the marbles. Then you put your card stock in the box and shake. It makes a really cool pattern that kinda looks like paint splatters. It looked like Christmas to me so I made a Christmas card. I mounted it on Pure Luxury red card stock that I got in my Eclectic Summer Kit from Ginna K. Then I stamped the poinsettia flower from the Ginna K set by Melanie Muenchinger called A Year of Flowers on Pure Luxury white card stock and cut it out with my Cricut. I colored it with Copic markers and distressed it with Desert Sand by Memento and added tiny pearls by Kaiser to the center. The “Happy Holidays” is an A Muse stamp. The corner frill is a quickutz die-cut that I cut on my Cuttlebug and glittered with SU Dazzling Diamonds. The little red bead flowers are by Jenni Bowlin. The layout is this weeks Mojo Monday sketch. The challenge at Stamptacular Sunday is ‘Inside Out.’ I used some of the marble paper I made on the inside along with stamping part of the poinsettia.
I thought this would be a very messy technique but it wasn’t and it cleaned up easily with a little stamp cleaner spray. You can learn all about this technique over at Stamp TV.
This card also work for the Cuttlebug Spot challenge #41 which is Christmas in July and to use your Cuttlebug which I did for the corner.
Thanks for visiting and let me know what you think.

Blueberry Picking

Hi Everyone, No card today. My hubby keeps be pretty busy during the weekend. Yesterday we went and picked blueberries. I wanted to show you how beautiful they were. Then today I made a pie and we took it to his parents along with a qt of berries. They live an hour away and the pie was still warm when we ate it. It was so good.
Then my sweet hubby took me to Micheals. They had all their Cricut cartridges for $40. I got Wild Card and Disney Tinker Bell & Friends. There is one more I want but they didn't have it. I guess that is good for my pocketbook. I can't wait to use them tomorrow.
Thanks for stopping.

Stamp TV Scrapbook Challenge 22

I love to take pictures of the flowers on the road by our cabin. They are so beautiful. The neat part is that they bloom a week or two after the ones at home and if I time it right I get to enjoy them twice. This scrapbook page is for Stamp TV Scrapbook challenge # 22. The challenge was to pull out some summer photos and summer stamps. Since I just took these pictures and I won some beautiful flower stamps I thought I should give it a try.
The background paper is SU so saffron and I stamped it with a sunflower stamp from the Gina K set by Melanie Muenchinger called Say it with Flowers. I used so saffron ink. You might not be able to see that. Next I stamped another flower from the same set on Gina K pure luxury white. I was playing around with the technique called masking. That is fun but putzy. I really like putzy. Then I decided that I would cut some of the flowers out. All three layers are stamped with the same stamp. The middle layer I punched with a SU flower punch. I really like the way the white flowers look behind the colored ones. The sentiment is stamped from another Gina K set by Melanie Muenchinger called Say it with Flowers. The card stock colors are; garden green, pixie pink, regal rose, so saffron. The ribbon is A Muse. I like to do the scrapbook challenges. They get me motivated to work in my scrapbooks and to use stamps. I never used stamps in my scrapbooks before and I really think they add a lot.
Thanks for stopping. Let me know what you think.

Stamp TV Color Challenge 22

This is my card for Stamp TV’s color challenge. The colors are green, brown, white/vanilla. I used the stamp sets I won from two STV challenges, A Year in Flowers and Say it with Flowers. I love these two sets. There are a lot of stamps on each one and you can do so much with them. I know I will get a lot of use out of both sets. The paper is SU chocolate chip, certainly celery, and Gina K pure luxury pure white card stock. I stamped the flower with VersaMark and used white embossing powder. The DP is CTMH and the little pearls are Kaiser. The ribbon is something I had. I really like the way the flower embossed. Some stamps work better for embossing and I think this is one of them.
Thanks for taking a look. Let me know what you think. If this is your first time here leave a comment and become a follower.

Color Throwdown and Three Clover Design

At the last SU class I attended I ordered an assorted pack of each of the color families so that I would have every color I need to do color challenges and have colors that went together. I punched a 1 1/2 circle of each color, wrote the name of the color on each and put them in an envelope. I think this will help me with learning the colors.
This card is for Color Throwdown #52. The colors are Certainly Celery, Chocolate Chip, and Perfect Plum. I also think this works for Three Clovers Design challenge #23. Their challenge was to use bling.
The stamps are from a SU set called Thoughts and Prayers. I cut three tags with my Cricut. The stamped image was done with a techniques that I learned at a Copic class. You color the stamp with your copic markers then sprayed the paper with colorless blender ink and stamp. I used Copic marker YG05, E37 and V17. The affect is a soft color. Next I attached plum colored flower rhinestones by Kaiser for the flowers. The ribbon is certainly celery and I used just a little SU DP on the tag. I am not sure the name of the DP paper. I really like this color combination. Let me know what you think.

Flutter-by-Wednesday

This is the card I made for Danni’s Flutter-by-Wednesday. The challenge was to create a scene and also to use very little or no designer/patterned paper along with your butterfly or fairy. My first thought was how can I make something with out DP that looks like DP. Then I remembered a couple of techniques that were on Stamp TV that I wanted to try. One was to emboss with Nestabilities and the other was to make a sky background. You can watch Gina K show these techniques at Stamp TV. The stamps are Trendy Trees, Branch Out, and Happy Everything from SU. The inks I used are Bashful Blue, Pacific Point and Chocolate Chip also from SU. The pink was Memento Angel Pink. I used my Copic markers to color the grass. The ribbon is something I had. I used blue and pink because I thought this would make a nice card to give someone when they announced a baby on the way. The people I work with are two ages. The age to have a baby and the age to be a grandparent. I am sure someone will be getting this card during the school year.

Christmas Mojo

This was a fun card. I used the Mojo Monday sketch and High Hopes and Cupcake Craft’s Christmas theme. The stamps and ribbon are from A Muse. Images are colored with Copic markers then cut out and attached with dimensional. I stamped the images on Gina K’s pure luxury card stock. I used my Creative Memory cutting system to cut out the circles. The star on the tree is A Muse Creative Candy mini stars. They are so tiny and so neat. The DP and dark blue papers are from my scrap box.

Monchromatic at Hero Arts

I am trying a new challenge today it is for Hero Arts. The challenge is to make a monochromatic card using Hero Arts stamps. The stamps I used are from a set called, “Happy Hello.” I stamped the bird in four different SU pink colors; regal rose, pretty in pink, melon mambo, and rose red. Then I cut out the parts and paper pieced him together. I used Hero Arts silver embossing for the little part on his back. The flower background is from the same set which I stamped with mellon mambo. I cut the border with the Lyrical Letter Cricut cartridge. I attached the bird with dimensionals. Last I added Hero Arts 2mm Gemstones. Monochromatic is a challenge. My ‘Pile it On’ card was also monochromatic. Let me know what you think.

Pile it On

This is my card for Pile it On. The challenges it works for are:
Unscripted Sketches - the sketch
Stampin For the Weekend - inspiration from the song - Three Times a Lady
Our Creative Corner - three types of embellishments
Pile it On - mostly orange
I wasn’t so sure I was going to like the orange but I think it turned out pretty good. The picture is not the best. The one ladies pearl buttons look like they are different sizes but they are the same. I used SU Tango Mandarine ink, SU DP, CTMH stamps “Danity Thoughts” for the Happy Birthday and the ladies are from a set called “Be Yourself.” The three embellishments are CTMH Sparkles and Adhesive Backed Rhinestone Frame, A Muse Creative candy mini stars ( I used it as an earring), and Pearls by Kaiser. I used SU 1 1/4 punch then cut 1 1/2 circles with my Cricut in DP to go behind each lady. The three ladies are attached with a dimensional so they pop-up. I think it is kinda cute. What you think?

Flutter-by-Wednesday and Card Positioning System

Today is a rainy day here and boy do we need the rain. I like rainy days because I can make cards all day and not feel like I should be outside.
This is the card I made for Dannis Flutter-by-Wednesday. I hope it is not to late. I used the sketch from Card Positioning Systems. Dannis challenge was to use pink and brown and a butterfly. The stamps were from Stamp TV called, "Bug Me Anytime." The paper is from my scrap box so I don’t know the name. I used SU punches and my Nestabilities to cute out the stamped images. I used Gina K’S sky technique to do the background for the butterfly. Then I added a little sparkle with a Spica twinkling like stars pen. Let me know what you think.

Stamp TV Scrapbook Challenge 21

Today I did a scrapbook page for Stamp TV's Scrapbook Challenge 21. These are pictures from the highest point between the Allegheny and the Rocky Mountains. The view was breathtaking.
The stamps I used were called Happy Camper from Gina K Designs. The background paper was Basic Gray. The paper I stamped on is from Gina K called Pure Luxury Soft Sand. The stamped sentiments say: "Lose yourself in nature and fine peace," and "Do not go where the path may lead; go instead where there is no path and leave a trail." Both are from Happy Camper.
Let me know what you think. Thanks for stopping.

Tuesday July 21st. I won a stamp from Stamp TV Scrapbook Challenge 21 YEA!

I am back. Another great video bolg

Hi everyone! Well I have been in the North woods for the past week and the weather was not what we had hoped for. It rained for the past four days. Then today the sun came out and it was a beautiful day for the drive home. Oh well, we are going back up for a week in August. We went to our cabin last Sunday. On Tuesday we drove to Copper Harbor MI. and spent the night. It is at the top of Michigan and on Lake Superior, which is beautiful. The water is clean and clear, but too cold for me to swim in. We also saw three beautiful waterfalls on ride up and back. The one in the picture is Bond Falls. You can hear it long before you see it. You can climb a stair way to get to the top. The view from there is amazing.
Anyway the reason I am posting tonight is that I found a great blog with lots of videos on card making, stamping and using your cricut. It is called The Pink Stamper and it is great. Go take a look. Thanks for stopping.

Flutter-by-Wednesday

I know it is Monday but I have a card for Flutter-by-Wednesday. I only have two days to get it in. The challenge is buttons and bows/ribbons on your cards along with a butterfly or fairy. I still don't have a fairy stamps but I do have butterflys. I made this card before we came to the cabin. The butterfly stamp set is Whimsical Wings and the ink is Sweet Leaf. The happy birthday is from the stamp set called Danity Thoughts. I am not sure the name of the paper but I know it is from CTMH because I had out my CTMH stuff out at the time. The buttons are from my collection. The ribbon on the side is A Muse. Floss is something I had. I think it is a nice little card for my birthday collection. Let me know what you think.

Diamonds are a girls best friend.

Hi everyone, I am up at the cabin for the week. I made a couple of cards before we left and I am going to post them when I get a chance during the week. This is the first one.
I made this card for a friend who went ring shopping with her boyfriend. They aren’t engaged but now he know what she likes. I think that is so cute. The front says “Nice girls rarely make history.” I am going to write “but they get diamonds,” on the inside. Cute Right? I just went to see if it fit any challenges and it will work for Stamp Sample #95 challenge, ‘Let the sparks fly. You are suppose to use glitter. I have that around the words. Plus the three square sparkles on the right. The stamp is from CTMH. The sentiment I typed and printed on the computer. Then I punched it out with a SU punch. I think this also works for the Paper Play Challenge. Their challenge is 'fashion.' It also works for DCD Challenge #5. Susie and Vikki's challenge at Sassy Designs is called Glamor and Glitz. I think this girl is all about fashion, glamor and glitz. What do you think?
PS I was just told the this card also works for Dare U2 Digi Challenge 15 which is pink, black and white. I do love the colors in this card.

A Muse Spots Challenge

I decided to tried a challenge over at A Muse today. The challenge is Spots. I love their stamps! This card is made out of all A Muse products except for the gems which are Hero Arts and the sparkle on the bees which I did with a lemon Spica glitter pen. Can you see the spots? Even the bees heads could be called a spot. Those gems are very tiny but really make the bee come alive. What do you think?

Stamp TV Color Challenge 20

The color challenge for Stamp TV this week is to get inspiration from the flowers you see blooming. Well, I see red, blue and yellow flowers blooming. So those are the colors that I decided to use. The stamps are from Making Wishes and the Eclectic Summer kit both from Gina K Designs. I used Tombow and Fiskers markers to color. I used my new Cricut cartridge called Lyrical Letters to cut GK Pure Luxury navy card stock for the border. That is a fun cartridge. The bling is CTMH Sparkles. The punches are from SU. The base card is Gina K Pure Luxury base weight and the background is from DCWV Spring Stack.
Gina K is also having something special tonight at 10:00 central time. I can’t wait to see what it is.
Thanks for stopping. Please leave a comment and let me know you were here.

Stamp TV Technique Challenge 21

Hello! Welcome back,
I made this card for Stamp TV Technique Challenge called Poppin Pastels. This is a fun technique that works like magic. You can watch Gina K show how it is done here. Every thing I used on this card, except the ribbon, was from Gina K Designs. The flower stamp is from the set called Bug me Anytime. The Happy Birthday that I stamped on the ribbon was from the stamp set called Happy Camper. I think it looks a little blurry. There is probably a technique to do this but I just stamped on the ribbon. The base card is made with Gina K Pure Luxury heavy base weight Soft Sand card stock . The Lime Rickey DP and the navy card stock came in the ‘Eclectic Summer’ kit from Stamp TV. There will be a new kit coming out soon. I can’t wait to see what Gina puts in the new set. The Eclectic Summer kit had a stamp sheet of sentiments and a sheet of image, Lime Ricky DP, 15 sheets of GK card stock, ribbon and brads all in a great storage box . I really think it was a great buy.
Well leave a comment and let me know what you think.
Thanks,
Linda

Now that my sound like a lot to some but from what I have been reading it is only a beginning. The punches I used were from SU and Marvy Uchida. The back ground paper is form Making Memories called Just Chilling. The image stamps I used are a set from Gina K Designs by Nina Brackett called Bug me Anytime. I was excited to see that the flower image stamp fit the SU five petal punch. I punched two for each flower one the stamped image and one on DP. The flower that opens is punched with MU purple punch then scored with a Scor-Pal. If you would like the directions please email your address and I will try to get you a copy. The Happy Birthday is from a stamp set called Happy Camper also from Gina K Designs. I punched this with two SU punches Scallop Oval and Large Oval. The ribbon is something I had.
The layout is from Sketch Saturday Challenge. I really like sketch challenges. The give me a plan to work from.

MoJo Monday 94 CTMH Stamps

Here is my Mojo Monday card. This is another challenge with great sketches. Yesterday I picked up my CTMH order and I used it on this card. The base card is kraft card stock that I had but the rest of the paper, stamp, ink and bling are all from CTMH. The paper is from a pack call Blue Ribbon. The stamp is called Whimsical Wings stamped with outdoor denim ink. The bling is called Sparkles. I got the idea to put them around the butterfly right for the Idea Book. The Happy Birthday is from a set called Dainty Thoughts. While I was making this card I wasn’t sure if I liked it but I am very happy with the way it turned out.
Let me know what you think.
Thanks,

Unscripted Sketches Challenge13
The Next Level Challenge is Buttons and Bows
Our Creative Corner Red, White and Blue
Paper Take Weekly Some of my favorite things.
Pile it On Challenge Three embellishments
Spoon Full of Sugar Hearts
The sketch was fun to follow. I love the sketches they come up with on Unscripted. I used piece of 12 X 6” kraft card stock for the base card. The back ground paper is from The Paper Studio called Patriotic Stars and Stripes. The little heart stamp is from an old SU set and for SFOS Challenge. The buttons are one of my favorite things. I have jars and jars of old and new ones. See I only used three. That is what happens when it is your favorite thing you don’t want to give it up. The Next Level challenge is buttons and bows. The red and white ribbon is from Gina K. I had the blue ribbon and the floss on the buttons. The ribbon, buttons and floss are three embellishments needed for the Pile it On Challenge. The adorable little girl is one of the stamps that Lorraine from Coldwaters 2 stamped and sent to me. Which is another one of my favorite things “Friends.” Last but not least Our Creative Corner’s challenge is red, white and blue, my favorite colors. If I forgot something leave you question in the comment or email me.

A Special Day for a Special man

Isn't this a great picture? This is my husband and his father. It was June 20 and John's 93 birthday. He caught this 38 inch muskie. My husband is holding it because after the long fight John needed a little bit of help and didn't want to risk letting it go before the picture. Being the wonderful son he is Gary sent it in to the news paper with the story. You can read it here. His parents called last night and side they both cried when they read it. Gary didn't tell them that he wrote a story and sent a picture to the paper. It's a great story to read if you have the time.

Card Positioning System 123

This is my card for the Card Positioning System. I love the layout. The base card is Core Color by Coredinations. I embossed it with my Cuttlebug and sanded it. The background paper is from Karen Foster Designs called Birds & Blooms. The stamps are A Muse. I colored the bees and the hive with Copic markers. The ribbon is from SU. I put little tiny gems for the bees heads. I sponged the background with Memento Summer Sky, Dandelion, and Angel Pink ink. The brads are something I had. I tried to distress the strip under the “have a bee-utiful day” with my scissors but it didn’t work too good. This card can be for a birthday or uses as a note to say, “Hi.”
Thanks for stopping. Please leave a comment.

Clean and Simple Challenge

Hi All, I made this card for Clean and Simple Challenge FTL 49 Sketch. First I stamped CTMH Playful Flourishes with VersaMark on Gina K’s pure luxury pure white base weight card stock and heat embossed with white embossing powder. Then I rubbed it with silver metallic rub-ons to make the flourishes stand out. Next I trimmed the edge with a Martha Stewart Doily Lace Edge punch. Then I cut, edged and glued a 1x4 piece of vellum along the left side. I used an A Muse stamps for the image and the sentiment. I backed both of these with black card stock. Then I tied some A Muse white ribbon around the bride and groom. The sentiment says, “The journey is the reward.” I hope you like it. Please leave me a comment if you have a few minutes.

Stamp TV Technique Challenge 20

OK, I have made a lot of cards but this one was sooo much fun. The Technique Challenge at Stamp TV is crayon resist. I watch the video and had to try it out. If you want to know how it is done go to Stamp TV and watch the video you will find out how I did the image. The stamps are for Gina K Designs called “Bug Me Anytime” by Nina Brackett, and “Happy Camper” by Theresa Momber. I used Stazon Timber Brown, Memento Summer Sky and Dandelion ink. The paper is Lime Rickey patterned paper from my Eclectic Summer Stamp TV Kit. The brads are something I had and the layout is kinda like the one Gina K used on her card on the technique video. I uses my nestabilities to cut the sentiment which I paper pierced for texture. I really enjoyed making this card. I hope you like it.

Stamp TV Sketch Challenge 19

This is the card I made for the sketch challenge at Stamp TV. I am having so much fun at their web sight. They have wonderful ideas and fantastic products. The stamp I used is called ‘Many Wishes’ by guess who? (Gina K.) I love this stamp. I stamped it on pure luxury soft sand card stock. Then I heat embossed with white embossing powder. The pattern paper is from K & Company. The dark green card stock and white ribbon are somethings I had on hand. I hope you like this one too. Please let me know. I really enjoy reading your comments.

Color Challenge, STVCC19 and Paper Take Weekly

This card is for two challenges, Stamp TV Color Challenge 19 and Paper Take Weekly.
I used the digital paper from Gina K called The Great Outdoors. The colors are called pine needle and straw burlap. I used a pice of DP called Classic K from K & Company. I chalked the sky with amethyst and blue and the ground with pine and moss. The tent and background were colored with Copic markers. I used a technique called masking to stamp the background. The stamp set is from Gina K Designs by Theresa Momber called “Happy Camper. The sentiment is from and by Gina K Designs called Many Wishes. This is a great set that I know I will use a lot. The sketch is from Paper Take Weekly. I love their sketches. They are neat and clean and not to busy. I can use this card for a man’s birthday card or I can leave it blank and use it for a thinking of you card. I really like this card. Let me know what you think. Thanks!

Card Positioning System 122 and Flutter by Wednesday

Here is my card for the Card Positioning Systems and Flutter by Wednesday. The base card is Gina K pure luxury soft sand heavy base weight card stock. I stamped it with CTMH Playful Flourishes and Memento desert sand ink. The butterfly is also a CTMH stamp called Butterfly Wings. I stamped it then painted it with Twinkling H20s. That took a long time but it was a lot of fun. The first picture didn’t show how the butterfly shimmers so I crop it and that is the second picture. The Happy Birthday is from SU and stamped with desert sand ink. The bookplate is from CTMH called “Foundry.” The ribbon is something I had.
Thanks for visiting. Let me know what you think.

MoJo Monday

This is my Mojo Monday card. I love this sketch. I used one of the images that Lorraine at Coldwaters 2 sent to me in June. Isn’t she cute? Her name is Tilda. The reason she doesn’t have a mouth is because she is an angel and angels talk with their heart. Don’t you just love that? I used card stock that I had on hand. The purple under Tilda is the paper with a differen color core. I embossed it with my Cuttlebug and sanded it. The flower and HB stamp are from SU. The brads are from a box with no name. My birthday card box is getting nice and full.
Please let me know what you think. Thanks:)

Three Challenges

I made this card for three challenges A Spoonfull of Sugar, Our Creative Corner and Cup Cake Craft. This is Cup Cake Crafts last challenge. I am sad to see them go. It was fun to play along with their challenges. The challenge for SFS and CCC is Summer. When I saw this stamp I had to get it so I could play along. The sketch is for OCC. This was a fun sketch to work with.
I love this card. The inside says, “You’re only a kid once, but you can be young for a lifetime.” Oh so true. I got this stamp set yesterday at one of my favorite scrapbook stores called the Memory Bank. I think that is a great name for a scrapbook store. The people are so nice and helpful. The stamp is an inkadinkado stamp. That is what is says on the back in a web address. It only cost $1.99. The paper is from Imaginisce and is called Summer Cool Blue Raspberry Ripple and the other one is called Summer Cool Banana Flip-Flop. I love those names. Please leave a comment and let me know what you think. I wish I was on a beach somewhere.
