Another Easter Card

I was visiting blogs yesterday and was motivated by Susan card at Susan's Day Off Creations to make this card. I had the bunny stamped and cut out. When I saw her card I knew just what to do with that bunny. Susan used the sketch for FTL 84.
The stamp is the SU chocolate bunny. I just love him. My DH said it looks like you can take him off the card and eat him. Isn't he the sweetest? I used the Argyle Cuttlbug folder on the SU Bashful Blue under the bunny. The DP is from a DCWV spring paper pack. The Happy Easter on the outside is Teeny Tiny Wishes from SU. I love that set. The sentiment on the inside is from the Angle Company. The little chick on the inside is from SU called Country Morning.
I made some really cute cards last night at a SU card club I will post them later.

Carrot Box

Boy, I thought I would do a lot of challenges this week but instead I am just kinda of playing. Today I made that carrot I told you that I was going to make out of the little cake box template. It is from Tags, Bags, Boxes and More by PC cut on my Cricut. The green leaves are a Quickcut. The box is the perfect size for jelly beans. The chocolate bunny in from SU. I got it in the mail yesterday and I had to use it right away. I thought it looked so cute on the carrot. I made a card with it too, but I will post that tomorrow. I am tired it has been a busy day. I made cards, went to the post office, got the snow tires off and new tires on my car (Penny Prius), got my hair done, cooked dinner, and went to a stamp camp. It was an expensive day too.

First Day of Sping Brake

I think I am still recovering from three late nights is a row last week. That is just my way of saying I am feeling lazy. It is so nice not to "have" to get up and run all day. I had a nice long lunch with some girl friends today. Then we came back to my house for desert. The lunch was planned but the desert was a last minute thing I thought of this morning. So, when I got out of bed I had to bake and clean. Not my two favorite things to do. I really don't entertain much because of those two reasons. I also made the little paper cake in the picture as party favors. That was the part I really liked doing. I had the little cake shapes cut out but I needed to fill them and decorate them. I think they are cute and the girls really liked them. Only two friends came over. One friend had her two little children and lunch was enough for them. The other lunch friends are in warm places. I think these boxes could be made to look like carrots for Easter. I'll have to try that.
The two cards are from the class I went to last week at the fabulous Sara Woodard's house. I always come home with the most beautiful cards from her classes. She is a director with the Angel Company and she has wonderful ideas. These two cards have a lot of detail. We made two of each and it took us over two hours but they really are beautiful. The inside has white paper and is punched with a MS boarder punch. I didn't take a picture of the inside, sorry.

That's it for my first day of spring break. I have a feeling this week is going to go very fast.

Unscripted #48

This is the sketch for this week at Unscripted. I thought it was a great sketch. I just had to give it a try.
This card is for a good friend that I am having lunch with tomorrow. We are celebrating her birthday. I can not tell you the name of the paper. I went through a big stack of my paper today and put it in a different order. I put all the strips together, the flowers, the dots etc. I only had one sheet of this and my friend loves pink. I used a CB embossing folder to emboss the the top layer which is velum. The center flower is from CTMH. The little flip flop is a charm I got yesterday at Hobby Lobby. She loves her flip flops. I used a MS punch, some pink pearls and Nesties for the embellishments.

I am looking for ward to trying more challenges this week and playing in my craft room. I hope to get together some things to offer as blog candy for my one year anniversery in blog land. So keep watching.

Stamp, Scrap & Doodle My First DT Cards

Our challenge this week at Stamp, Scrap & Doodle Saturday is a sketch challenge by Carlie. I love all the parts. We would love to have you give it a try. I thought it was a fun challenge so I made a card right away. Then I found out we had a sponsor and I want to show the cute image they gave us to try.
The image is a digital image called Robbie Rabbit from Sunshine Stamps. They are our sponsor this week. I colored the image with Crayola Colored Pencils. Not so good but that was all I had at school. I was waiting for parents to show up and because coloring is so relaxing I thought it would be a good way to relax my brain between appointments. The base card is Certainly Celery from SU. I ran it through the Cuttlebug with the argyle embossing folder. The eggs were cut with my Cricut and the Easter 2010 cartridge. The Hoppy Easter was typed on the computer with text boxes. I paper pieced his basket and drew in eggs. I wanted this to be a masculine card but I couldn’t resist using some SU Dazzling Diamonds on the eggs.

The second card is the card I made first. It follows the sketch much better but I made it before I know we had a sponsor. Be sure to check out Sunshine's Stamps and see all the cute images they have. I love the little trucks.
The image is a Penny Black called In the Garden. It is colored with copic markers. The stitches are a stamp from CTMH called Simple Stitches. The base paper is from SU Not Quite Navy and the DP is Cosmo Cricket Material Girl. The flowers are Maya Road Textured Knit Blooms. I just wasn't happy with the way it looked in the photo. It real is a cute card. The colors on both cards just didn't show up good in the photos and I used my photo box. I think I need more light.
To tell the truth I am not happy with these two cards. It might have to do with working a 50 hour week and still trying to do the other thing I love to do. I do love teaching but I also love making cards. I am on spring break now and hope to do a better job on the cards for this week.

Be sure to stop over to Stamp, Scrap & Doodle and give a try at the sketch. Oh, did I mention there are prizes. One participant will win 3 images of their choice from the Sunshine's Stamps store!

Have a great weekend.

Just Us Girls Challenge #25

Hi Everyone, Well I am making it through my busy week. I am sitting in my classroom taking a break from writing reports. It is 5:00 and I am getting ready to go to a card class. I can't wait.
I made this card on Saturday for the Just Us Girls Challenge #25 which was spring colors inspired by this picture. Isn't that the cutest picture. I loved the colors light brown, blue, green and yellow.
The stamp is Penny black. The paper is Cosmo Cricket. I colored with Copic Markers. The flower was white and I colored it to match with Copic Markers. Did you know you can color flowers and ribbon with your Copic Markers? I think that is great. Well I am off to class. If you have any questions please leave a comment and I will get back to you.
Have a great evening,

Stamp, Scrap & Doodle

Good Morning, Boy do I have a busy week ahead. Tuesday and Thursday I have Parent Teacher Conferences until 8:00 P.M. I get to school by 7:30 A.M. so two 12.5 hour days. Those are long days when you spend them with 7 year old boys and girls and when you are 57. Wednesday evening I want to go to a card class that will get me home around midnight because it is kinda far. A friend always drives. I just don't know it I can make it three nights in a row.
Anyway this is the card I made for this weeks challenge for Stamp, Scrap and Doodle. The challenge is tearing. The stamp is from the Angel Company. I colored the image with Copic Markers and used them to highlight the torn parts. I used my Cuttlebug dotted swiss on Cordinations paper for the purple strip on the side. The background is June bug by Basic Gray. I don't know were the brads on the wheels are from. The sketch is the one for this weeks challenge at Unscripted Sketches.
Have a great day and thanks for stopping,

PS. Let me know you were here and what you think. I love to read the comments.

Bee Crafty and more

Hi, This is going to be a quick post tonight.
Isn't this the cutest image? This is free at Bee Crafty and I made this card for their Challenge # 26 "Spring." The little flower buttons were made by punching card stock with the SU three flower punch and gluing three layers together. Then I put CTMH CG on it. After it dried I used a paper piercer to make the holes. I distressed the edge of the oval and inked the edges. The image was colored with copic markers. The eyes are gems and the nose is a tiny heart gem by AMUSE.
I was checking out some challenges and this card works for:
Pile It On: pastel colors
Pixie Challenge: Buttons and Flowers
Sussie's Sassy Challenge: Easter
Rosie D's: Think Spring
Stamp with Fun: Spring.
La la land Crafts: Pastels.
By the Cute and Girly: Spring is in Air.
Secret Crafter #74 "Anything Goes"
Cute Card Thursday : Celebrations

Thanks for stopping, and please let me know what you think.

More St. Patty's Day

This was a fun card to make. I made it for two challenges, a color challenge at Squigglefly, and a technique challenge for Just Us Girls challenge #24 . The technique was to make a flap card.
The image is from Squigglefly by Robin Willis. Squigglefly is a digital stamp company. They have so many images. You download the image. Then you car rotate, flip, resize, and print your image. The best part is you can use it again and again. I got one for easter that I will show you later this week.
This image is called Top O' The Mornin' and I printed it on SU So Saffron. Next I cut around the image, and went around that edge with a gold pen. I printed the image again on white, colored it with Copic markers, cut it out and popped it up. I used the same St Patrick's Day paper that I have been using from Best Creations. Those two sheets of DP have gone a long way. I wish I could remember were I got it. You can see the magnet on the flap but the other one is under the shamrock. They were not very strong so I couldn't hide both of them.
The last picture is the inside. The stamp is from CTMH. The paper on the side is the same DP just the other side. The little shamrocks are stickers.
This card also work for a Cute Card Thursday Challenge 103 which is Celebrations.
I hope you are enjoying my cards because I sure have fun making them.

Unscripted Sketches #46

Well it is Sunday evening and I have had a fun weekend making cards. This is the card I made following Unscripted Sketches #46. All of the outside is DP. It is the same paper I used on the March 7th post by Best Creations Inc. The ribbon I had and the charm I just got yesterday at one of my favorite scrapbook stores called The Memory Bank. The shamrock on the ribbon was cut from the same paper.
I have one more St. Patrick's Day card to show you tomorrow. That will be the last St. Patty's Day card. I sure like making green cards. I miss seeing green so much this time of the year. That must be why I have enjoyed making all these green cards.
Have you notice I put a counter on my blog? If you don't leave a comment I will still know that you (or someone) is stopping. I would love it if everyone who stops would leave a comment and become a follower. My blog will be one very soon and I am trying to come up with some way to celebrate. If you have any suggestions please let me know.

One for JUGS And a New Challenge

I made this card for JUGS. I love the name of that blog Just Us Girls. What a great name but there are men who are hooked on the craft. One that is famous is Tim Holtz. The girls have some great things going on at their blog. The DT is made up of some very talented ladies.
This card was made using some of my favorite paper Cosemo Cricket paper called Mr. Campy Flannel. I love the colors. The edge or border on the left was cut from SU Very Vanilla with my Cricut and the Easter 2010 cartridge. Isn't that a cool border? I welded it together using my Gypsy so that it would fit the card. The ribbon is SU Riding Hood Red.the base card is dark brown. I used Nesties to cut the dark brown scallop circle. I paper piersed the the scallops to go with the stitching in the paper. Maybe I should use a white jell pen to make it show up. The tulip stamp is from the Angel Co. and was colored with Copic markers. I used SU Very Vanilla and another piece of DP for the inside.

I got one of those light boxes to take pictures in and I really don't think it is making much difference. The colors still are not showing up as nice as they really are. I still have a lot to learn.

Happy St Pat's

This card is going to my 89 year old aunt whose name is Pat Sheehan for St. Patty's day. Now this is one very green card. It works for quite a few challenges.
Pile It On - The One You Must
Crafty Creations -Monochromatic
Stampin For The Weekend - Monochromatic
The Pink Elephant - Green
Inky Impressions - Green
Cute Card Thursday - Green
Twisted Thursday - Green
Catch The Bug - Green
Crafty Catz - Green
Prairie Fairy - Green and the sketch is Card Positioning System.
The base card is SU Gable Green and the accent is SU Glorious Green. The DP is from Best Creations Inc. The images in the circles are from the same paper on the other side. I just cut them out with a circle cutter. The hat image is cut and popped up with pop dots. the corners are by Stampendous. The outside was so fancy I wanted the inside to look great too. I used Heidi Swamp's letter stamps to stamp the inside. I went over the letters with a Spica pen to make them glitter . The shamrocks are from the same paper and I used one jem on one. This card took no time at all and I really like the way it turned out. I know Aunt Pat will like it.
I am seeing a little more green outside every day, but there is still way too much white out there for me.
Have a great week and thanks for stopping,

Unscripted and Color Throwdown

Today is opening day for trout fishing and hubby left at 4:30 AM. It was 16 degrees. He REALLY loves to fish. That gives me the day to make cards. Oh Happy Days. I have to wait until May for trout to eat. This is catch and release.
Ok on with the cards. I made this one for the Unscripted Sketches Challenge 48, Color Throwdown Challenge 82 and Crazy 4 Challenges which is paper piercing. The colors are Not Quite Navy which I used for the base, and Ruby Red which is on the right side. I embossed it with my Score Pal. The DP paper by Reminisce called Apple Orchard. The shamrock was cut with SU Old Olive and a Cricut cartridge called Paper Dolls. I used SU Teeny Tiny Wishes for the Happy St. Patricks Day. The hardware and twine are from SU. The inside was stamped with CTMH stamp set called So Lucky.
My mothers maiden name was Sheehan and my brother married a Quinn. You may be seeing more St. Patrick's Day cards because I do send them. Both of Mom's parents were Irish and St. Patrictics Day was always a big day. Who doesn't love a day all about green beer! I love the fact that it means it is almost spring and the weather will get better.
Do you celebrate St. Pats Day? How do you celebrate?

I hope you enjoyed my card today. I had fun making it. Hubby had a great day too. He caught lots of fish and had lots of stories to tell.
