Fairy Jar

I hope you don't think I have lost my mind. (I may have) I just thought this was so sticking cute I had to make one. I was watching Cynthialoowho on You Tube. Say that 10 times. She had been making these Fairy BottlesShe was making it for a contest but I made mine just because I thought it would be fun. My fairy is in a jar I got at Goodwill for $0.50. The fairy is from A Day for Daisies. Every Friday Tammy has a new release and there always is a $2.00 digi. So on Friday I don't go out for coffee. I buy a stamp instead. LOL I never go out for coffee. When I saw this adorable fairy I had to make a Fairy Bottle. I wish I could remember the story about a fairy bottle I read when I was young.
Here are some pictures.
This the Fairy Jar
I got most of the ribbon and trim at Goodwill too. I colored the fairy and flowers with Copic markers. I didn't seal my jar shut just in case she wants to fly away. There is a nice bed of fibers, dew drops and flowers in the bottom of the jar.  You can't see them in the picture.
This is the top of the jar. I really thought is was a very nice jar for $0.50. I added feather and bling to the bow. Cynthia's is a lot fancier.
This picture is suppose to show you how she sparkles. I used lots of Stickles.
The part I love about digi images is that you can flip them. So the back of the jar shows the same image. I just colored two images (one flipped) the same. Cut them out and glued them together.

And now I have a fairy in a jar. I wonder if I should make a wish or something.  It was really crafty fun to make. Now to find a good story to go with her.

Stamp Scrap Doodle Saturday

Happy Snowy Saturday! Yes we are having another snow storm. It is really a very pretty one. Big fat flakes slowly falling and the pine trees are heavy with the white stuff. It is very pretty, even if I am sick of the snow.
OK this weeks challenge over at Stamp Scarp and Doodle Saturday is to make an easel card. I love making easel cards. They are easy and look so hard.  I scored the 4.25 X 11 piece at 2.75 and 5.5. The first layer is 4.25 X 5.5. Second layer (Almost Navy) is 4 X 5.25. The printed layer is 3.75 X 5.  The image layer is 2.75 X 3. It is a Stampin Up image and colored with copic markers. The paper is from CTMH. This card is going to my sister. She loves to work in her garden.

This week you could receive a $10 gift certificate from our sponsor  That's Jazzy Stamp Dreams. Stop by and take a look at all the adorable images.

I am looking forward to seeing your easel card. Link up your card at Stamp Scrap and Doodle by next Friday.

My Favorite Things!

Hi Everyone,
I have been making lots of cards and trying to use what I have on hand. I am having so much fun revisiting all my supplies. I don't know about you but I find myself buying new and not using what I have.
The stamps and dies I used on this card are from My Favorite Things and I have had them for a long time. I used the image stamp maybe once before but this is the first time I used the Jumbo Scallop die and Framed die set. I LOVE them and I don't know why it has taken me so long to get them out. I just keep getting new stuff and not using what I have. So I am being true to my goal to use what I have. Now if I sell some cards then I can shop. LOL
My Favorite Things has a sketch challenge this week and I really wanted to play along. Here is the sketch.
And here is my card.
I just love the this Pure Innocence image. I can't find it in the store right now. The sentiment and die cut are from a set called Die-namics Framed Greetings Die and Stamp Set. I paper pieced the umbrella and her booths.  The paper is from CTMH. The ribbon and card stock are from SU. I even used my bow easy.
I would love to win their prize. It is a gift voucher for their store and I really want to try their felt.  I have my fingers crossed.

Happy Stamper and SP and Company

Hi Everyone!
I am so excited. Gale at The Happy Stamper is hosting a Stamped Image Swap and I decided to be in it. I made her this card to go along with the images.

I am sending her Magnoila Stamp images because I don't think many people have them. I only have 3. I used them to make her card and a gift bag with some images just for her. When I was looking for the perfect sentiment to go with my project I reached for my SP and Company Ultimate Sentiment. I also used Mini Card Creations II, and Scallope and Lines. I always know I will find just what I want to say with SP stamps.
Here is Gale's gift bag. Just a thank you for all that she is doing.
Here is the tag.  Now be kind, I am just starting to make fancy tags. Can you see the U Rock and You're the Best?  They are from SP and Company.
This is the bag with the swap images. I made the flower following Hiedi's directions at Embellished Dreams. I need to get some better felt. The cheap stuff I have was very hard to cut with my CB.
Gale and Swap are cut with the Micky font cartridge. I love the nice chunky letters.
Here is the tag.
The Thank You is from

Mini Card Creations II Stamp Set

This was such a fun project. I even got it in the mail today. Now I will be watching my mail box to see what images I get in return.

A Technique

Hi Everyone! Boy are we getting the bad weather. It was snowing, raining, sleeting, thundering and freezing rain all day long. Now it is suppose to snow hard all night.
On to a much better note. Have you been to Michelle Zindorf's blog?  It is amazing. She does the most incredible techniques. I tried one this weekend and I love the way it turned out. The card I made is from the one she posted called The Bench. I have the same SU set so I just had to give it a try. Michelle did a few more steps and I made an easel card.
This was my first try. I forgot to off set the wall and add a picture.
I went back and took another look at Michelle's again and I think this one turned out a  lot better.

This is what it looks like from the side. I love this stamp set and this technique.
Our challenge this weekend at Stamp Scrap and Doodle Saturday was suppose to be an easel card. I am not sure what happened. I know we have a DT call out. Stop back to find out about the new challenge.

I hope you are someplace warm and dry. Thanks for stopping.

BY LORi Designs

Hi, Today I used Puddle Jumper - Winter Danna & Penny from By LORi Design for my card.  I also used the colors from this weeks Color Throwdown.

This card has a hint of spring. The Tulip embossing folder and the green are my hints that winter may be on its way out. Dana is still dress for snow because here in WI winter is not over yet even though it is going to be 50 today.
I love Lori's images they are so much fun to color with copic markers. I used the Spica glitter pen on her ear muffs and scarf. You can't see that in the picture.
Well I made a bunch of cards today in hopes that someone will want to buy them. I had so much fun using lots of stuff. A friend of mine said she would be happy to take them to her school to sell for me.  I am try to think of another place I can take them. If you have any suggestions please let me know.
Tomorrow I go to a SU class.  I need a couple of colors of card stock. I know I will be buying that. I also really want (the key word want not need) that set with the spool of thread. I am really trying to be good but it is so hard.  BUT or AND I have so much stuff that I should be using first before I get more. RIGHT? I am getting better. I don't want everything I see now. Almost everything but not everything. Is there still hope for me?

SP and Company

Happy Wednesday,  Today I used SP and Company's stamp set Mini Card Creations II to create a wedding card.
This is a perfect set to create mini cards but I used it with the Cricut Sweetheart cartridge to create this card.

I decided that I am going to start making cards to sell and I think this one would be a great wedding or an anniversary card.

The square and sentiment are stamped on SU DP.  The  rings and Mr. and Mrs. are cut at 2.5 inches. Now I just need to find someone who would like to buy my cards. A friend took a box of my cards to school and she sold 22. I am pretty happy about that. I charged $2 each. I don't know what to charge.  I make cards because I love to make them. When I go to classes that is what I pay for each card I make.  What do you think?  I would love to know.

There are so many wonderful stamps and ideas at SP and Company. Take a look, you will be happy you did.

Happy Valentines

Hi Everyone,
Happy Valentine's Day.
Well I am not to happy right now. We have a very big. I mean very big tax bill to pay. It turns out that Married and one dependent doesn't take anything out of your retirement (because it is such a small about) and you have to pay thousands of dollars at tax time. Everything is electronic so you don't even see what they are taking. You don't know until you do your taxes. I am just sick about it but as the saying goes there are only two things you HAVE to do and that is pay taxes and die. Sorry I just had to get that out.

I promised the Valentines I made with my Raisin Boat stamps so here you go.

The last three are the same card. Both cards are from a set called Wild about Ewe Honey.
I just think this is the sweetest set. I know I am going to have to cut back on my spending. I sure hope it isn't my Raisin Boat stamps. They are so much fun and so cost effective. I have tons of stamps sitting and not getting used but I need to keep them. The Raisin Boat stamps I uses then send them back and I get more. I love that. Have you checked out  Raisin Boat yet?

Thanks for stopping and Happy Valentine's Day!,

Raisin Boat Stamps

I haven't posted any cards that I have made with my rented stamps in a long time. The company is called Raisin Boat Stamps. I really love the two sets I have at home now.  Friday I had time to pull them out and make some card.

These three are made from a stamp set called Chicken Soup.
It is really a fun set. I can decide to keep it for $11.95. I get a $3 discount because I am a member. Or I can stamp a bunch and send it back.  When I send it back (the postage is paid by the company) they sends me the next set from my queue. It really is a great system. Just like Netflicks but you don't get stamps that don't work like some of the DVDs I have gotten from NF.
I have some Valentine cards to show you tomorrow that I made from a different set.
Check out Raisin Boat Stamps and if you sign up tell them that I sent you. We both can earn a free set.

I hope you are having a wonderful Sunday and thanks for stopping,

Stamp Scrap and Doodle Saturday

Happy Saturday! If you are like me this is Valentines Saturday. My hubby and I are going shopping, to a movie, then out to dinner. It should be a fun day.
AND we have a fun challenge for you at Stamp, Scarp and Doodle this week. The challenge is Love is in the Air. I know you are still making those Valentines, but it doesn't have to be a Valentine. The best part is that we have a wonderful new, gifted, artist sponsoring us this week.  Arielle from Snappy Stampin' w/Arielle has started her own line of digi stamps. Her company is called Wax Fruit Company.  I just love that name.
She is donating a $15 gift certificate to her shop.  I know you have an idea for a card, scrapbook page, or any project that is about love.
Here are two cards I made using just one of Arielle's images, and two sentiments.
The thing I love about digi stamps is that you can do so much with one stamp. I took the quilt image and copy and pasted it three times to make the top card and I made the sentiment big. The second one I made the image big and the sentiment small. There is just so much more you can do with a digi. The image is called Heart Quilt. The sentiments are from a set called Sew & Sew. Stop over to the Wax Fruit Company and take a look around, become a follower and leave Arielle some love.
Then off to your craft table and get your project post for our challenge at Stamp, Scrap and Doodle Saturday. You have until next Friday. I can't wait to see what you create.

Thanks for stopping and have a wonderful weekend,
