Birthday Week "Day 5"

Day 5
Wow this week is going fast, but I must tell you it does take a lot of time to pull this all together. Well for me it does. I am learning sooo much.
AND
 I just realized I messed up. I forgot to pick  the winner for day 2.

The winner of the two ink pads is Jeanette from LiveLaughLove2Scrap. She has commented on day one and two, at my blog and YT, plus she is a follower.  Thanks Jeanette, I really appreciate your support and helping me have a spectacular week.

Now the winner for day 4, which is the package of lace, is..... Oh I should give you until noon for a chance to win. I know sometimes I don't get the emails of my favorite blog post until a day later. So I better give you a little more time.
Ok so the prize for day 5 is the box of charms. I made the box in a class. It is so cute and so much fun.
For today's project I made a card shaped like an ornament from the Joy of the Season Cartridge with charms added to the front.
Here is the video.

I will post the winner of the lace Thursday afternoon.

There is a new challenge blog I am going to enter this in at Joanna Sheen's. The theme is Christmas.

Thanks so much to all of you for making this the best week ever.

Hugs,

Birthday Week "Day 4"

It's lace day!
But first I have to say thank you to all of you who are leaving comments and watching my videos. It really has been so much fun reading them. I feel bad that I am not commenting back but it is taking me all day to get this all organized. I just want you to know I really appreciate your kind words.
Now for the winner of the Embossing folder. I had 32 comments on You Tube and about the same on my blog but I could only match up 20 names. The Random Number was 7 and the seventh name on my list was Ike or 218 Ike. Congratulations Ike. I will be sending your the Cuttlebug Embossing folder. I wish I had one to send each and everyone of you.

OK here is the lace.

Here is the project.

And here is the video.
Now it is 1:45AM and I have to get some sleep. I went out with some friends for dinner and a play. We had so much fun. That is why I am doing this at this time of day or night or well you know what I mean. LOL

Thanks again for all your support.

Happy Birthday Week to Me!
Hi everyone, In honor of my upcoming birthday I am having a six day party. Each day I will be giving away a gift to you.
Giving away some of my favorite craft goodies will give me great joy and if you read my last post I am going to focus on those things that bring me joy.

Here are the gifts I will be giving.

Nov 27 TODAY-Sunday Diecuts cut by me (dress forms, bird cage, gears, etc)

Nov 28 Monday two ink pads (one SU, one Tim Holtz)
Nov 29 Tuesday Cuttlebug Embossing folder Argyle
Nov 20 Wednesday Vintage Lace ( I have been collecting)
Dec 1 Thursday Charms
Dec 2 Friday A Cricut Cartridge Joy of the Season (yes I bought it twice and didn't realize it until I tried to load it on my Gypsy and it told me I already had it. So it is open but not linked to anything)

Now what do you need to do. You will need to leave a comment here and at the You Tube video everyday in order to be in the drawing for the Cricut Cartridge. Spread the word, or post it on your blog. Leave a comment here and on the You Tube video each day. (Oh said that twice didn't I?)
I will only pick from today's (Sunday) comments for the package of die cuts on Monday. Tuesday morning I will pick from Sunday and Monday's comment for the ink pads. The names will come from Sunday, Monday and Tuesday for Tuesday's gift. You get the picture. So if you comment all six days in both places you will have 12 chances to win the Joy of the Season Cricut Cartridge. If you are really lucky you may win more that one prize.
I hope you will come to my birthday party and help me celebrate!
Now let's get this party started!

I have been having so much fun learning how to change my headers that I thought I would add some of here pretty paper to my creation. I added a second turkey and the words Happy Thanksgiving. What do you think? Yikes Thanksgiving is only a week away. I think I should put the turkey in the refrigerator. It is 15lb. What do you think?

Anyway go check out Diane's blog. She is so talented. I have learned so much from her.

I would love to know what you think of the header. I already have one created for December.

Bears

Please go here for my Advent calendar give away. There are 7 more days to sign up.

Happy Wednesday,
Well I had a great day. My new computer (2 months old) was acting up. I went in for a one to one and showed the person who was my teacher today what was going on. It was like the mouse pad was sticking or a ghost had taken over my computer. Well they took it in back and said to come back in 30 min and they would have it fixed. The Apple Store is in a mall. I walked around for an hour. When I came back they had a brand new computer all ready for me with all my stuff loaded on it. Plus I got an extra cord. What a great day. I love Apple!
OK then I find out that the challenge over at I Did it Creations, Challenge blog is "Everybody Love Teddy" and I just finished a card with one of Robyn's Fetish's digital stamps called Christmas Bear. I just think he is the cutest bear.
The red on the candy canes, the berries and line down the middle are stickles. I used one of my new Nestabilities lables dies to make a shape card. I love how it turned out and it is pretty CAS. It really doesn't need any bows or buttons. That will make it easy to mail.
Head over and join the challenge. There is a prize!!! I know you have a bear stamp.

I hope you had a wonderful day too,

LESSology Hanging Mobile

Please go here for my Advent calendar give away. You have 6 more days to enter.

Hi Everyone, We have a wonderful challenge for you at LESSology this week. The challenge is to create a hanging mobile. Our sponsor this week is Nikki Sivils Scrapbooker

I really have fun with this challenge.
This is what I started with. It is an old rusty wreath I found at our cabin.

I took the geese off and painted white. Then I used an old necklace, that I got at a yard sale for $.25, to hang it.
Next I created stars to have from it.

Here is the mobile I created.

The stars are created by folding five squares in half twice and one angle fold. Pull the angle folds in so it looks like a square. Then glue them together.

Here is a video to show you how.

I hope you will join use at LESSology this week for our fun challenge.
Thanks for stopping,

My Winter Weekend at the Cabin

Please go here for my Advent calendar give away. There are 7 more days to sign up.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Hi We went to the cabin this weekend.This is what it looked like when we arrived.
It was so pretty with the snow. We have to stay at a friends because our cabin is not built for winter.
 We are having some work done. The poor building is in need of lots of TLC.
We had some foundations work done and a window replaced.
The east side was getting really bad. The logs you see are the walls on the inside. No space to insulate so this is just a summer cabin.
This is how it looks now. Well really this is from Saturday.
This is the window before.The glass putty was cracked  and the glass was starting to come loose. The window didn't open and this is the lake side of the building.
This is the windows now.
The wall under the window had to be replaces because some of the boards were rotten. We want one picture window but it just couldn't be done to this structure.
Here is what it looks like from inside.
We are very close to the lake and there are a lot of rules about what we can do. Well I should say can't do. We are very happy with the work and plan on doing more windows. We worked a little inside cleaning up but it was colder inside that outside on Saturday. I wish we could make it more year round but the rule say we can't. I guess that just make is it a special place to get away and enjoy.
Thanks for stopping and have a great day,
I used a Nestabilities die to make a shaped card. The designer paper is by Tim Coffey.
 love all of the A Day for Daisies images. They are amazing.
The sentiment is from Crafty Secret.
I hope you will join us this week at SSDS.
