Rolodex Card A Day 273
I had some fun at my sewing machine on this card. The little cat is cut from a piece of material from my friend Terry who is Terryo1 on YT and the other element are from her as well. Thank you Terry. After I sewed on the kitten I went round and round on the card with a zig zag stitch. It was really fun.
OK it is really Friday September 26 and I am in a panic about the up coming trip to MT. I am worried I won't have inter net or what I need with me to do my RCAD. So I spent the day making the next 15 cards. Boy did I have fun. One a day is not enough as far as I am concerned. LOL
Here is Rolodex Card A Day 272
I used some fun goodies that came from "craftyirina" Thank you Irene. I hope you all check out Irene.
Rolodex Card A Day 271 was created from an extra ATC I made well over a year ago. I used a K&C frame to frame the image and added different leaves that I cute from text. The sentiment says: "Autumn is the second Spring when every leaf is a flower. ~Albert Camus~
Here is the process video.
Thanks for stopping and I hope your are enjoining a beautiful weekend.
Rolodex Card A Day 270 was created from a 3X3 card I received in a swap at Your Paper Pantry from my friend Candace Scarborough. She used a ticket that Valerie Wells created. Both friends are on YT so check them out.
I host the ticket swap and one of the challenges was bugs so the ticket has bugs on it and says cooties. The quote says, " Life was much easier when your clothes didn't match and boys had cooties." That just cracks me up. Oh and did I believe that! Except for my dad and brother who were perfect in my eyes. LOL
Here is the process video!
Have a wonderful day and thanks for stopping by and taking a look.
Rolodex Card A Day 269 was crated from more goodies I came across in my craft room. The little pocket was made by Iley Burkett. She use to host the pocket sway at YPP. Thank you Iley!
The quote says Being soaked alone is cold. Being Soaked with your best friend is an adventure." ~Emily Wing Smith
Here is the process video.
Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful crafty day!
Today is the first day to sign up for the October swaps at Your Paper Pantry. I host two swaps. The Christmas All Year and the Artsy Fartsy Ticket swap. The Christmas card one is more of a challenge.
The October challenge is to use your favorite technique or just your favorite kind of card to make.
I made little 3X3 One Drawer Easel Tag Card following The Scrappy Bookworm1 on YT tutorial.
Here is what I created.
Here is the process video of these.
The challenge for the AFT (Artsy Fartsy Ticket Swap) it to make tickets that say Thank You.
Here are my cards.
I was having fun with some things that I had around the room. The little Hello Kitty was cut well over a year ago on my Cricut. I thought she was so cute I made a couple of them. It is nice finding these bits and bobs to use on my RCAD.
This is not one of my favorite cards. I thought about redoing it but I told myself no do overs. Learn from what you make and don't do it again. The words are right it is my favorite time of the year. I should have added some leaves or made the background different. That is what this is all about learning and growing.
I really had fun creating this card. I used a page from an old reader. We are planning a trip to Montana to see our grandchildren. I really am looking forward to reading to them. That is one of the things I miss most about not teaching. A day could be so chaotic but when I would pull out a book to read to the class, clam and order was restored. In all of life there is nothing better than a good story. Don't you agree?
Life is good. Right now I am at the cabin. I spent the day with friends. We celebrated Mary Life. The colors are amazing. The weather is perfect. Who could ask for more?
I used some fun bits and bobs I found in my studio and I did had a fun creating this card. I hope you enjoy the video!
Rolodex Card A Day 263 was created with pictures of past RCAD that I printed doubles of by accident.
The quote says, "The way to truly know life is to Love many things." I really think that my cards have taught me that about myself. I was hoping to find one thing I liked to do the most and get very good at that, but I am finding I am one who loves it all and it is in the creating that gives me joy. I love the quote, "I know a little about a lot of things but I am a master of none."
Here is the process video.
Thanks for stopping and have a wonderful Saturday!
We are at the cabin enjoying nature. Poor deer is so hungry and I am not sure why. There seems to be plenty to eat. They sure seemed to like the peanuts we had for the chipmunk, and chipmunk liked the sunflower seed we brought for the birds.
We have had visits from the flying squirrel a little red squirrel, a big gray squirrel and a raccoon. It is a very busy little cottage. Sophie is having fun watching out the window. Her job is to keep the mice from coming in.
Here is a picture of a chickadee eating from my hand.
This video I put to gather with pictures and video of hubby feeding the deer peanuts.
Nature is a beautiful place! I am so thankful that I have a place to go were I can really enjoy it gifts.
Thanks for stopping and I hope you enjoyed my little pice of paradise.
I was using some of the die cuts they had on hand at the Scrapbook Manner in Lake Geneva were I went a couple of weekend ago. I planned this card there and put it together at home. The quote says; "Life isn't about finding yourself, It's about creating yourself."

Rolodex Card A Day 261 is a picture of a panda that I drew when I was off for a scrapbook weekend with friends. I saw him somewhere and had to give him a try. He turned out so cute I needed to use him on a card.
Here is the process video. I try to keep them short. I got this on down to 3 minutes.
The music I have started using came from watching Monica's channel, bcdoula, on YT. She is doing a new series of art journal pages every day. They are wonderful with very inspiring quotes. Monica plays royalty free music from incompetech.com. I went and down loaded a few fun songs myself. Thank you Monica for introducing me to incompetech.
Thank for watching, I hope you have a day full of smiles!
Rolodex Card A Day 260 was motivated by my garden. The flowers are starting to fade and really I am getting tired of watering them. This is my favorite time of year. I love when nature takes over and shows off it beautiful colors all by itself. Come March and April I will be ready to plant and water all over again.
This RCAD was motivated by an ATC terryeo1 shared on her channel. There was a beautiful face and it inspired me to draw this face. I do enjoy trying to draw faces. The background was another one I created with my Gelli Plate and Lumiere paint. This card really shines. I wrote on the card She believes only in Kindness.
Todays card started with a rolodex card that used with my Gelli Plate and some Lumiere paint. That was a lot of fun. Then I just layered and added a sentiment that was from a Harper Bazaar Horoscope. It is a great place to find a quote.
RCAD 256 was made using some pretty hearts cut for a quilt and a some shaneel fabric. They came from Iris Shubert as a thank you for hosting the Artsy Fartsy Ticket Swap that I host at Your Paper Pantry. Thank you Iris.
The quote says. "Write it on your heart that every day is the best day of the year." The quote and rick rack are from my stash.
Rolodex Card A Day 253 is the same, almost, as my mail art for this month. The theme was birds and you know I love birds so I joined the swap over at Your Paper Pantry.
Here is the process video and you will see the mail art. I forgot to take a picture of that.
Thanks for stopping by, and have a great Wednesday!
