Card Positioning System A Valentine
Wow, it has been a whole week since my last post. I hope you haven't given up on me. I spent last evening and today making cards to post this week. It felt so good to sit and play. It just takes me so long to come up with the idea, make the card and write it all up, but I really do enjoy doing it. I especially enjoy hearing what you think of my work.
I made this card following the Card Positioning System sketch. The stamp is by Nina Brackett called Heartily Yours. I colored the stamp with Copic Markers. Then I sprayed Pure Luxury card stock with Copic Colorless Blender and stamped the image. I cut the hearts with Gypsy Wondering. That is the cartridge that comes on the Gypsy. It has many wonderful images. I was able to do the layers on the Gypsy and cut the image just the way I wanted on my Cricut. The background paper is from a pack by Making Memories. I used my Cuttlebug to emboss Coredinations card stock. Then I sanded it. The heart brads are from Creative Impressions. The gold wire is beading wire. This card took me a long time just deciding what and how, but I love the way it turned out.
What do you think?

What a cool technique!!!
LOVE the card Linda.
From start to finish making the card, staging and photographing it, photo editing, and completing the blog post..it takes several hours! I agree the payoff is that people stop by and read and enjoy!
This is so pretty! I love that sentiment stamp!! Thanks for joining us at CPS this week!

I would have to try that technique with Copic markers. What a cool effect. And what an adorable card! Oh my, every card I've seen on your blog is. I love all the little details you've put into this one: the wires the distressed edges, embossing, etc. I love it!
Another beautiful card Linda, I love the image in the heart and how you colored it!
I agree with you about the time to think about it, create and then share but the payoff is worth it. I haven't even been making much time to create lately, this school year is kicking my butt. It also doesnt' help that I have today off and planned all sorts of crafty fun but will spend a lot of time outside cleaning SNOW off the driveway. What a waste of a day off! Enough of me complaining though, hope your week is good and I can't wait to see what you've made to share this week....
Very cool technique. Pretty Valentine, Linda!
Beautiful card! Thanks for the tips!
Beautiful Linda! I know what you mean about coming up with ideas for cards...I struggle with it too...but this card is simply beautiful...thanks for the cool tips too.
HUGS,
Vicki
