Scrapmaster's Paradice Color Combo #82

Good Morning, I am a little late posting my card for Scrapmaster's Color Challenge today. Sorry:(
The is a wonderful challenge and the prize is really special. For this week's prize, Samantha is going to offer something different. The winner of the week will become a guest designer for a week here at SPCC!!! What a great way to get your blog off and running and a great way to share your love of crafting.

Here are the colors:
Use this color combo for your project -be it a card, scrapbook LO, 3D or altered item. You do NOT have to use Stampin' UP brand colors or products, but you do have to use colors close to these colors.

Entries are due on Sunday, January 16th at 3PM EST. Next Monday, we will showcase the winner on the SPCC Blog

I had fun with these colors. I just got the Elmo Cricut cartidge and I want to try out a technique that I learned to do on my Gypsy. I changed the Elmo cut out to a heart. Then I filled it with candy. It is a fun little Valentine treat box.
For the sentiment I used SP & Company Ultimate Sentiments I Stamp Set. I also used a SU heart punch.
Here is peek inside.

I will be making 17 of these for a friends classroom. They are so much fun and easy to make.

I hope you will join us this week for SP Color Challenge #82. You will love being a guest designer at Scrapmaster's Paradise. I can't wait to see your projects.

Have a wonderful Monday.

Stamp Scrap and Doodle Satuday

I am so excited about this challenge because By LORi Designs is our sponsor this week.
Lori has generously given us a $10 gift certificate to her store as a prize for this weeks challenge. Our theme this week is New Beginnings. That could be a wedding, a new years layout, birth of a baby or anything that means a new beginning to you.
I love Lori's babies so I made this card.
The sentiment is one of Lori's new sentiments. I love that she is doing sentiments now. This card is really a pretty pink but the light is just not getting it.
The paper is Amuse. I have had it for awhile and just came across it in a drawer. I love their paper. Now that I found it I will be using it more. That is my goal to use what I have more.
I hope you will join us this week at Stamp, Scrap and Doodle Saturday.

Another Video - A Shopping Notebook

OK when you get old like me you need to write everything down. So I came up with a shopping notebook after watching some very talented ladies on You Tube. One was Tracy's Treasures. I love her little post-it notebook holders. That gave me this idea. I hope you like it. Please let me know what you think.

New Heading

Hi Everyone, I am coming down with a cold and sitting with my computer just playing with my blog. I have been signed up for online classes from Jessica Sprague for a while. I am a slow learner but I just made a new header for my blog. YEA!!! It took me a loooooonnnnggggg time but I am happy with the way it turned out. The banner is by Reed Mullen from Sweet Shopped Designs.  Now I just have to learn how to add the other stuff and I will be doing good. I may just stick to banners.
Be sure to stop back tomorrow for the first every By LORi Design color challenge.

SP and Company Stamp

Today I have another card I made with SP and Company Stamps Ultimate Sentiments I, and the Cutest Gingerbread Man.
The images are cut from Once Upon A Princess. I love the tags on this cartridge. I don't need to keep buying Nesties but I know I will. I made the tag 1.72 inches and the sentiment "It's Your Day!" just fit.
The faces are the gingerbread faces without the cheeks. I used a marker to ink the stamp. Then I added some white accent lines.
I used Happy Birthday CB Embossing folder for the background and inked it to make it pop. I am not so sure I like the pink. I think I should have made a blue background.  The pink was sitting out so I used it. I do like the faces. I am getting a lot of use from those two SP and Company sets.

Stop over to SP and Company and see what Samantha and the other DT's have for you this week.

By LORi Design and A Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge 98

Today was fun. I was home all day with no car and no people to take me away from playing in my craft room.  Most of my day was spent playing with my Cricut.  I wanted to try out some of the new cartridges that I bought at CricutMachine.com. They have wonderful prices on cartridges. Many are $16.95 and for 48 hours they had like 60 at $14.95. I just couldn't pass up that deal. They still have cartridges at that price.
I did completed one card.  This is Lollipop-Tanner from  By LORi Design. I colored him a week ago and this is the first chance I had to make a card. I used the Sweet Sunday Sketch for the layout.
The sentiment is from SP and Company. The paper is from my big scrap file. I used a MS boarder punch and three SU punches for the sentiment. It feels so good to be making birthday cards and building up my supply again.
Be sure to stop back on Thursday.  I will have all the info on our very first By LORi Design Challenge.  You still have time to apply for a position on the design team. You can read about that here.

I am off to do some coloring.

Scrapmaster's Paradise Color Combo #81

Happy New Year! and Welcome to Scarpmaster 's Paradise Color Challenge #81
Here are the colors for this week.
Here is the card I made using SP and Company stamp sets; Ultimate Sentiments I and The Cutest Gingerbread Man stamp set.
I used all the Gingerbread smiling faces for the background and the face. The sentiment says "Sending You Smiles." I am sorry the picture isn't too good. It looked great when I was working with it in Photo Shop but not so good here.
The clown was cut from Simply Charmed at about 2.5 inches. I hid the face and used one of the gingerbread smiles to create the clown face.  I wanted a bright cheer up card that would lift the spirit of someone feeling down.
I hope you will join in on the color challenge. Be sure to check out what the other DT's and Samantha have for you over at SPCC.
Have a great Monday and...

Christmas Tree Real or Fake??

December 4th my hubby and I cut down a pretty tree at the tree farm down the road. We had to brush off the snow because we got it in a snow storm. When we got home we put it in water right away.

The next day we let it sit and on the 6th we decorated it.
Here is the tree. I looks pretty good.  I don't know what kind it is but it dropped so many needles. I was ready to take it down two days before Christmas and put up a fake one. I took it down Dec. 28 and it sounded like it was raining. That is the earliest I ever took down my tree. Here is what it looked like under the tree.
This is one pile I swept up.

This is the first time I have had this kind of trouble with a real tree. I am thinking about getting a fake tree next year.

Any advice?  I would love to hear from you. Do you have a fake tree or a real tree?
