My Favorite Things Sketch Challenge

Hi Everyone,
Well the snow is not staying around long. As soon as I cleaned the driveway it started to melt fast. I am pretty happy about that.

Did I tell you that I won a gift certificat at My Favorite Things?  Well I did and I went shopping right away. I spent twice what the prize was but it was like getting everything half off. LOL
I got some felt and a tiny Die-namics Musical Notes die and a PI stamp set called You're So Tweet.
I used it for this weeks sketch challenge.
Here is the sketch:
And here is my card:
Isn't she just the sweetest? I really love the Pure Innocence stamps. I used the colors from the Colour Q challenge this week.

I only had one guess on what I used in the center of the buttercup on the SP&Co card. It was a snowflake from the Winter Lace cartridge. I got the idea to use a snowflake from someone on the web but I can't remember who. If it was you thank you. It was a great idea.

I am tired tonight. That snow was heavy and the fresh air always make me tired.

Have a wonderful evening!

SP and Company Stamp

Happy Wednesday,
I have two cards today. The first one was a lot of fun and it took some time. I used the sketch from Sweet Sketch Sunday Challenge 107. Karen came up with a great one this week.
Here is my card.
I wanted to use the stamp by SP and Company that says Cheer Up Buttercup and to make a buttercup.
The is so much better in real life. I am very happy with the way it turned out. Do you know what I used for the center of my buttercup? I am going to see if you can guess. I googled a buttercup and I think I came pretty close to the real thing.
The sentiment is from my favorite SP and Company set called Ultimate Sentiments I Stamp Set.

Here is the other card I made using the same sentiment set and a Magnolia stamp. I made this for a very dear friend whose father is very sick.
A couple of you asked if I would show how I do the inside of my cards. I line just about every one I make. I just take computer paper and cut it a bit smaller than the card. Then I fold it and use a border punch.
Then I only tape the back near the fold of the card. This is the lining for the Praying for you card.
This is the lining for the Cheer up buttercup card. It is turned on its side.
If you don't have SP and Company's  Ultimate Sentiments I Stamp Set yet you really should if you can fit it into your budget. It is the set I have out all the time.
Don't forget to leave you guess in the comment. Oh and by the center of the flower I don't mean the brad. I mean how did I create the stamen?

SSDS Saturday Challenge

Hi Everyone,
I just noticed that we don't have any entries yet in the challenge at Stamp, Scarp and Doodle yet and we have an awesome prize this week.

This week our sponsor is Circle B Enterprises, owned by our very own Veronica! Here is a little about Circle B.

My name is Veronica Baker thou I am known in the Scrapbooking world as Just A Pac Rat. I am the owner of Circle B Enterprises Scrapbooking and more store and Spur's Computer Cures in Webb City, MO.
I used to have around 4000 Scrapbook related items listed on Ebay for almost 10 years, but about 8 months ago I decided to go strictly my own website and store front. This decision was mostly made because of Ebay's new price increase. I like to keep my prices low (presently 50% off retail prices) and just couldn't afford to do it on Ebay anymore. I am slowly but surely getting all my inventory listed online at http://www.circlebenterprises.com/I hope you will come visit my little store often and watch it grow! Also visit me at my creative blog http://circlebenterprises.blogspot.com/ where I show what I have created for challenges and Operation Write Home!
The winner will recieve a $20 credit to Circle B Enterprises. For one week only Veronica is offering anyone who orders this week free shipping. Simple enter FREE SHIPPING upon checkout. Thanks Veronica!

It is an easy sketch challenge.
So head on over to SSDS and show us your cards.

I used one of my favorite new digi company Wax Fruit Company. The stamp I used is called Framed Marigolds and I flipped the sketch.

These are both the same card just different light angles. I want you to see the lining I put inside my card. I do that for almost all my cards.
Now it's your turn. Head over to SSDS and see what the other DT's have for you. Then link up your card. I am looking forward to seeing what you create.

SP and Company Stamp

Happy Wednesday,
I am pretty excited. I found a new product called L'Bri. It is an all natural skin care product that working on my skin. I don't think I told you about the problem the chlorine was creating all over my skin. Saturday I am having some friends over to learn more about it. If you are looking for something safe for the whole family check out their bog.
Being a card maker I didn't want to just send the post cards so I dressed them up a bit and came up with this.

I cut the mirror and lipstick from Forever Young. Then I stamped the lipstick with You're Invited from SP and Company Ultimate Sentiments I. I use that set a lot and thought I would never use your invited and look at this here I am using it. This is a great set with many uses.
Here is a video on how I made this.
