Stamp Scarp and Doodle Saturday!

Wow one week to go. Christmas comes faster and faster every year.
Well we have a great challenge for you this week at Stamp, Scrap and Doodle.  We want you to use bells on or in your creations. Remember it doesn't have to be a card.
Our wonderful sponsor this week is Paper Pretties
The prize this week will be 6 digital images of the winners choice.

I chose this adorable image called Coco Digi.

Ok I am playing around with the picture and I am not sure which one looks the best. this next one is bright but you can't see the bow with the bell so good.

This next one is just a little lighter than the first one. I could spend hours just picking a picture for this blog.

Here is what the inside looks like.

I am so happy with the way this card turned out. (Not so much the pictures) It was so much fun I am going to make more just like it. I used my Gypsy to make the card base. The red is Riding Hood red from SU. The DP is from a Christmas stack I had. "Jolly" and the "bell" die is a set from Lil Inker Designs. I just love the set. I got it a month ago and it took me close to an hour to find it today. I didn't give up because I want to use that bell die. Really isn't this the cutest card I have every made????? Oh I did go back an stamp "Have a" and "Holiday" above and below Jolly. You really need to see it in person to see how stinkin cute it really is.

I hope you will join us with your bells at SSDS this week. There is a great prize.  Oh and SSDS will not be having a challenge again for two weeks. We are taking the next two weeks off for the holiday.

Have a wonderful weekend!

LESSology Challenge #8 Altered Frame

Hi Everyone it is time for another challenge at LESSology. Our sponsor this week is Really Reasonable Ribbon. The prize is a pack of Beautiful Ribbon and Baker's Twine, a $15 value.

I needed to do something about this...
My hubby hung this on the door to remind me to turn down the heat before I leave the house. It worked great but I thought I needed to make something a little more attractive than a piece of paper taped to the door. So I made this...

The frame is one of the dollar ones from Michael's but I got it at a garage sale for $0.10. It had some paint on it but it was easy enough to sand and paint over. Then I cut the word winter using Gypsy Wanderings and glued it to some 2008 DCWV Christmas paper. Next I cut some snowflakes using MFT Die-namics. The door is metal so I put two long magnetic strips on the back and woooolaaaa I now have a pretty reminder to turn down the heat before I leave the house.

Here is a video of what I did.

There are so many things you can do with an old frame. I hope you will join us this week at the LESSology challenge blog with your Altered Frame.  I can't wait to see what you create. You can check out what the other DT's have created.

Stamp Scarp and Doodle Saturday!

Happy Saturday!
This week the challenge at Stamp, Scarp and Doodle Saturday is Silver and Gold.
I decided to make a gift tag with this wonderful image from Deliciousdoodles.
I was motivated by all the Tim Holtz tags I was seeing on the web. I used some TH crackle paint on the base paper which was something I picked up at St. Vincent de Paul's. I got it in two colors. The holly is from a TH die.

I hope you will join us this week at SSDS. All you need is a little silver and gold on your creation.

Have a wonderful weekend and thanks for stopping,

A Thank You Card

Hi Everyone, Were has this week gone? It is Thursday evening and I haven't posted all week. What am I doing all day. Well for one thing I spend too much time reading blogs and watching all the wonderful YT crafting videos.
Today I subbed in my friend's first grade classroom and I am so tired. I really don't know how I did that for 22 years. They just suck all the energy right out of me. LOL I must be getting old. It was a sweet class and I got to do a craft project with them.

I do have a card to show you. I want to make a bunch of thank you cards. My dear friends were so kind and I want to let them know how much I appreciate them.
I treated myself to some MFT images and dies during their last sale. The image is MFT Pure Innocence - Aim High. I paper pieced her dress and colored her with copic markers. The sentiment is from SU. The card shape is made with a Spellbinders die Labels Twenty-two I think. I used the same shape in white on the inside. That way I could write my thank you.

I am working on the lighting in the room were I take the pictures of my cards. I hope to get my indoor pictures to look better than this.

It's My Big Day LOL

Happy Birthday to Me!
You must think I am nuts, but I was alway told that my birthday was too close to Thanksgiving and Christmas. Which meant nothing special was going to happen. When I was 8 they totally forgot it. That was really hard. Every year I think someone else is going to make my day special and am always disappointed. I told myself last year that enough is enough and if I wanted a fun birthday than I had to make it fun. And I did! Thanks to all of you playing along. I really appreciated your help.
I have one more project for you from Joy of the Season.
It's a thank you card for all of you.
Here is the video.

Enjoy!
Hugs,
