Hello

Hi There,
I hope you had a wonderful Easter. My son and his girlfriend came for a bike ride. There is a beautiful trail right behind my condo that runs along the Wisconsin River. The trail is built on an old railroad. From my condo to the end is a 10 mile ride on blacktop. The plan is to go right into The South side of Devils Lake. We rode the 10 miles there and back. I have an e-bike and would never be able to do that ride with out my bike. I love that I am able to do a ride like that at my age and not feel like I am going to die. It was really enjoyable and a beautiful 80 degree day.

I don't know if I shared that I go a second kitten back in December. His name is Rudy and I got him to keep Sophie company. Sophie has not been happy about my decision but today I saw some progress.

I had a chance to work in my journal today and turned on the camera to share what I do in my daily journal.

Thanks for stopping,

An Art Journal Page

I should be cleaning but decided to do an art page in my Favorite Quote Journal.

The quote is from Buddha and says, " He who fills his lamp with water and his heart with lust will dwell in darkness.
I love this quote and feel it has a powerful message. Is there a quote the does that to you?
If you would like to watch my process. here is a video for you.

Have a wonderful weekend.

New Header

Hi There,
My son was here today and helped me create a new Header for my blog. I used some ephemera from my new favorite site The Graphic Fairy.  I am having so much looking and using all the beautiful images. Plus if you join at the Premium Membership you get lessons on how to use Photo Shop Elements, which I really need. Both of my sons  use Photo Shop at work. They can just whip through things and loose me in the process.

I have been working on a journal to hold ideas for making journals.
Here is one of the videos.

I also have some journals for sale.
Let me know if you are interested.

Have a wonderful weekend.

A Slider Valentines Card for a Challenge at Simon Says

Hello there!
Well it has been over three years since I have posted. It has been a long journey and I have come along way. I have moved into a condo on the river and enjoy watching the eagles as they search for food on these cold days. Sophie seems to like it here. She now has a brother Rudy. Sophie would have like to be an only cat but Rudy needed a good home and he stole my heart with his loud purr and crooked tail.

I wanted to post because I want to enter a challenge over at Simon Says Stamps. The challenge was for an Interactive Card. That got me motivated to make a Slider Valentine's Day card. I make some years ago and had to search around for how I made it. My directions were not the best so I am giving it another try. The original card idea came from Dawn at Dawn's Stamping Thoughts Oct 31, 2013.

Here is the card I made.

Here is a video

. I decorated with a Lawn Faun die I got from Simon Says Stamps.
Here are the measurements
Base and top card 4.24 X 5.5
Slider 3.25 X 4.75
Cut top card
Line left side up at 3.5 cut from 3/4 down to 4 3/4
Flip and do the same to the other side
Then cut at the 4 3/4 line across to create a flap
Score the flap from edge of card 1 1/4", 3", 4 3/4"
Fold up, down, up
Punch notch at top of base and top card at top (not slider)
Glue or sew the slider to the flap lining up the bottom and have a little hanging over sides.
Then attach front to back along side and bottom.
Now decorate any way you want.

Let me know what you think.

My Hardest Post

I don't know what to write. But I need to tell you that I will be off the web for a while. My dear sweet husband, the love of my life passed away last night unexpectedly. Words will not express how I feel. Tears are all that help. Please keep our family  in your prayers and blessings as we work our way through our sorrow.

Thank you,

Jodie at Bugaboo stamps contacted me and let me know that I won her random drawing giveaway. It was $25 dollars to spend on digi stamps. I had now trouble spending that money.  It was so much fun looking at all the images. Stella and Gus just crack me up.
Here is one card I made with my new image.

Back from our Trip

We had a quick visit with our grandchildren in Montana. 33 hours each way on the train. That was interesting and an experience we want to try. The grandkids are AMAZING! Really! They are 16 months and 5 years old. Great ages to enjoy a visit from their grandparents.
I have been organizing and trying to craft. Organizing is a never ending job for me.

Anyway I am here to tell you about a challenge/giveaway sponsored by a You Tube friend. Her name is Myra and her channel is "craftyrats."  The challenge is to make a Pocket Letter. I love to make Pocket Letters. Go Here to see her video.
This is the Pocket Letter I made for her.
Even if you don't want to join please go over and give her some love. She had two of her beloved Kitties pass away in the past two weeks.  They were with her so long and I thing that makes it harder.
Mayr has been making some really cool Christmas Crafts. She is very talented and I know you will get some great ideas.

Thanks for stopping by and Happy Crafting,
