Scarpmaster's Paradise Guess Designer

Hi Everyone,  I am so excited to be the guest designer again this week at Scarpmaster’s Paradise. I am using Mix ‘N Match: Holidays for my card today. Samantha has packed so many great holidays in this one stamp set.
I use the St. Patrick's Day stamp.

Being Irish and loving St Patrick’s day I just had to make a St. Patrick’s day card. I also used Pretty Pendants to give it a real festive look.

I will be sending this card to my 89 years young Aunt Pat Sheehan. She is 100% Irish and love to receive St Patrick’s Day cards.

To read all the detail about this card head over to SP and Company.

By LORi Design Challenge #4

Hi All, Wow this week is really flying.  It is already Thursday and time for another By LORi Design challenge. This week we have a color challenge for you. The beautiful colors are Real Red, Soft Sky, Baja Breeze and Pear Pizazz.

The Copic colors close to these colors are R29, BG10, BG34 or BG72, and YG 93. The link on my side bar called "My Creative Ink Color Lab" is a great guide for matching the colors to what you have.

For my card I used the adorable Puddle Jumper Birthday Ezra.
I used three different Nestibilities to frame the image. The base card is embossed with CB Birthday folder and inked with Baja Breeze.

I hope you will join us in the challenge this week. Head over to By LORi Design Blog and link up your By LORi Design card. I look forward to seeing your creations.

Thanks for stopping,

Scarpmaster's Paradise

Hi Happy Wednesday!
It is time for a card that I made using - Mix 'N Match: Holidays - from SP & Company.

This set has every holiday.  It is a great set to have on hand.
I used my Cricut and a Child's Year cartridge to cut the image. The base card is SU Cherry Cobbler. I embossed a strip of Marina Mist with a CB  Star folder. Then I mounted it on a little white strip. Last of all I stamped the sentiment. Very easy and very quick card. Sentiment like this one from SP & Company make it so easy to use your Cricut cuts and I love to use my Circut.

Thanks for stopping,

Peachy Keen Altered Valentine's Box

Hi I made a Valentine's box for a friend today so I made a video of what I was doing.
This is the finished box.
I also made it for Peachy Keens Let's Face it Challenge - Altered Card Box.

I decided to make treat bag toppers. She plans on giving her students fruit snacks. You are not suppose to give students candy any more. Now do you see why I am a retired teacher?

Here is a picture of the finished project.  I left a space for names.
I just love seeing all of these smiling faces looking at me. This was a fun project.

I hope you enjoyed it and maybe got an idea or two.

Penny Black Challenge 137

Hi Everyone,
I just wanted to make a quick post before I run out to a Super Bowl party
I was reading Kath's Blog this morning and saw there was a Penny Black challenge. I only have a couple of her stamps but I do love them. The challenge is Love is.. I have a PB valentine set so I quick made up this card.

I just love this sweet set. I added- is + knowing. Then the inside is a stamp from the same set-"You have a piece of my heart!"  The Love is a SU stamp. I didn't use copic marker. I used pencil and a water brush for the image. It reminded me how much I love my copic markers. Sometime you just have to do that. I went over the puzzle with a gel pen.

This is the first time I think I did a Penny Black challenge. I would love to win.

This card also works for The Paper Players challenge #33 which is Love is in the Air.
If you have any questions just leave it in the comment.

Now I am off to the game. Go Pack!

Thanks for stopping,

Stamp Scrap Doodle Saturday and DT call

It is Saturday and time for a Stamp, Scrap and Doodle Challenge. This week our challenge it to use Polka Dots and stripes.

Before I get to the challenge I wanted to tell you all that Regina has put out a DT call. You can read all about it here.

I wanted to use Stampin' Royalty colors so I had to make my own polka dots and stripes.
I also paired my card up with this weeks My Creative Time challenge. Emma's challenge was to use the "Just Because" cartridge and to stamp a sentiment.
Now I have two pictures of my card one taken in natural sunlight coming through the window. The second one was in my light box.

I guess the light box shows the colors and details better on this card. My dear, sweet, helpful friend LeAnne showed me how she lights her cards and I think the change I made is helping. Thanks LeAnne!

The sentiment is part of a set called Bug of Fun from the Angel Company.
The color are:

The sentiment was stamped on a label I cut from "Just Because."  The ribbon and card stock are from SU.

We had 122 people join the challenge with their wonderful cards last week. I am so inspired by all their creations, and I'm still working on leaving comments.

Join us at SSDS this week and get inspired with polka dots and stripes.

Color Throwdown 127

Wow I can't remember the last time I  joined in a Color Throwdown Challenge. It has been way to long. This week when I saw LeAnne's fabulous card I remembered a stamp set that I bought at a garage sale last summer and have wanted to use. This weeks Color Throwdown colors are perfect.

Inside
The set is an old set from SU. I don't even think I have all the stamps to the set but I love the ones I have. I stamped some of the stamps on Bashful Blue and cut them out with shaped scissors. For the inside I used a EK Success punch. I love how this card turned out. I really do love vintage cards and stamps.
Thanks LeAnne for the great idea!
You really need to see all her wonderful cards at WEEinkings. They are amazing!

Have a wonderful Friday and be sure to stop back tomorrow for Stamp, Scrap and Doodle Saturday.

Colour Q #70 and Wax Fruit

When I saw Arielle's new chocolate stamps and sentiments I just had to have them. I paired them up with the Colour Q's color challenge this week and Diva Coffee Break designs sketch.

The candy wrapper were printed on Bo Bunny DP and the candy was printed on Neenah white and colored with Copic markers.  Then I put them together, clear embossed them and used stickles to make them real yummy.
The part that looks like ribbon is paper that I folded and stitched. I just love the sentiment and the fonts that Arielle used.  You can check out all her wonderful stamps and card ideas at the Wax Fruit Company.  Arielle's cards are amazing.
Well all this writing about chocolate is making me hungry. I need to go find that chocolate I hid from myself (yesterday or maybe it was this morning). I hear it calling me.
Bye, Bye,
Thanks for stopping,

By LORi Designs Challenge #3

It is time for another challenge at By LORi Designs. This week is  Color Challenge # 3.
Here are the yummy colors for this weeks challenge.
You don't have to use SU colors they are just mention as a guide line.
I made two cards. I like them both but I just wasn't so sure about this first one for some reason.
I just didn't think I use enough Early Expresso. This is Puddle Jumper -Winter Dana and Penny.  I used a brown for her boots, hair and Penny but it didn't show up to well. I even took this card to my sewing machine but I wasn't happy with that either. Oh well, Dana and Penny are adorable and you can't go wrong when you use them. I made this card during the dark and blowing snow storm Tuesday night.

Wednesday, when the sun came out I decided to give it another try.
This time I paired Puddle Jumper Harper with  Sugar Stick- Dog. The background shape was cut with my Circut using the "Just Because" cartridge. It's on page 55. I distressed the edges and inked them with Pretty in Pink. This time I used a stamp to make the stitching. It is from CTMH called Simple Stitches. The sentiment is also from By LORi Design Sugar Stick- Little Talk Sentiments.
I inked it with Pretty in Pink and popped it up.

So which one do you like?

Make sure to head over to the By LORI Designs blog to see the rest of the fabulous creations by the Design Team and get all the details of the challenge!!  If you have trouble finding it check the right side and click on Challenges.

I can't wait to see your fabulous creations!!

Lollipop-Happy Birthday Annie

Today I have a sweet new Lollipop image from by LORi Designs called Birthday Annie.
She is just adorable. I colored Annie and her balloon with Copic markers and popped her up with dimensionals. I cut the scallop rectangles with my Cricut and the Storybook cartridge. I ran the top one through my Cuttlebug in the Happy Birthday EF. The ribbon, bakers twin and DP are something I had.

Be sure to stop by tomorrow for the BLD Challenge # 3. You are going to love the colors this week.
