Raisin Boat Challenge #23

Calling all you card makers it is time for another challenge at the Raisin Boat blog. We only had two players and five entries for the last challenge. Your odds of winning are really high.

This month the challenge is Graduation and/or Congratulations. This is a great challenge to help you stock up on those cards you would like to send in recognitions of a job well done. Create a card or cards for that special person. Remember that it can be what ever you may need in the coming months! It doesn't have to be limited to a school graduation card. You could even make a scrapbook page or a gift. Just remember to do some stamping.

Use any set you have (you don't have to limit your entry to Raisin Boat stamps), but if you use a Raisin Boat stamp set, it will count as two entries. That gives you twice the chance to win a FREE stamp set of your choice! You can enter as often as you like.

Remember you can rent or buy sets from Raisin Boat. No guilt in using a set for just one project, such as a challenge. We look forward to seeing what you make for those special people in your life.

Here are the upcoming challenges for 2014 to help you get the perfect sets into your rental Pick List:
May: Graduation/Congratulations
June: The USA
July: Summertime
August: Birthday
September: Halloween
October: Thankful

November: Christmas

Here is the card I created.
I used High Five Grad to create this card for a special graduate. The mortarboard and diploma are popped up and enhanced with a little Glitter Liner Bronze.
The sentiment on the inside is from Opportunity Knocks which says, Be the change that you want to see in the world. Ghandi"

Here is my video.

I am going to be watching for your entry at the Raisin Boat Blog!

Raisin Boat Challenge #22

Spring is finally here, and the trees and flowers are coming up. I don't know about you, but I never thought it was going to happen here in Wisconsin this year!  Spring brings important days for cards, such as Mother's Day and Father's Day, in honor of which Raisin Boat will soon be releasing brand-new sets. Be sure to check the Raisin Boat website starting next week for these fun new releases!

This challenge isn't only about Mother's Day and Father's Day. It's also a great time to plan ahead for the birthday and thank you cards you will want to send to them throughout the year.

The challenge is to: Create a card for your mother, father, mother-in-law, father-in-law, or really any special parent-like figure in your life. Remember that it can be a birthday, special day, or thank you card -- whatever you may need in the coming months! It doesn't have to be limited to a Mother's Day or Father's Day card.

You can rent or buy sets from Raisin Boat. No guilt in using a set for just one project, such as a challenge. We look forward to seeing what you make for those special people in your life.

Here are the upcoming challenges for 2014 to help you get the perfect sets into your rental Pick List:

April: Moms and Dads
May: Graduation
June: The USA
July: Summertime
August: Birthday
September: Halloween
October: Thankful
November: Christmas

This challenges will close on the 12th of May.

Here is the card I made for this challenge. It could be used for a Mother's Day or Father's Day card.

I created my card using Foreground Forest and Hydrangea Bouquet. The flowers were colored using Inka Gold Lava Red, Green/Yellow and Pearl Pen Yellow.

Here is the video.

I hope you will share your creations and join in the fun at the Raisin Boat Blog.

Thanks for stopping,
