Stamp Scrap Doodle Saturday

Happy Saturday!
Well this week at Stamp Scrap and Doodle our sponsor is Craft Brulee.
Look and the wonderful prize they have for you.
All you have to do is make a clean and simple card and link it to Stamp Scrap and Doodle Saturday Challenge.

This is the card I made my DH for our fifth anniversary which was yesterday but we are celebrating today. He loves to fish almost as much as he loves me. LOL  I should have used the printer for the sentiment but he really likes the cards that look handmade. So he will love that I  wrote on the card. I don't like my handwriting. The inside says, "the right one when I married you." The stamp is from The Angel Company. I used my Cricut to cut the waves at the bottom and I used last weeks Clean and Simple layout.
A big thank you to all of you who join us last week.  We had over 130 fantastic cards to enjoy.  I know I am inspired by my fellow design team members and all the talented people who join our challenge. I hope you are too.

About the card:
*Stamp: The Angel Company I am not sure of the name
*Paper: SU Bordering Blue and River Rock
*Ink: SU Always Artichoke and Vivid Coffee Bean
*Acc: yarn I had, dimensionals, Zig two way glue

Have a wonderful Saturday!

Happy Birthday LeAnne!

Today is a very special ladies birthday. She has been a real inspiration and a wonderful friend to me this past year. I have learned so much from her.  I can't tell you how much I have enjoyed our web friendship.  A little over a year ago I noticed that she lives near my family in PA, were I grew up. I set her an email and she responded. I must have asked her a thousand questions about cards, SU, and how to do stuff on my blog. She has always been there for me, answering every question, and she has even set me a some wonderful cards. Her name is LeAnne and her blog is WEEinklings. This is her birthday card. I used Clean and Simple Stamping 100th sketch and Colour Q's colors for her card. LeAnne is on the DT at Colour Q.
Now as a special surprise Arielle at Snappy Stampin has planned a blog hop just for LeAnne. This is my first time being in a blog hop so I hope I do it right. If not go to Snappy Stampin and I am sure you will get hopping from there.
Be sure to stop over to Weeinking and wish LeAnne a Happy Birthday. This is her last one before she is an old grandmother (like me) which is about to happen around August 10th.
Big Birthday Hugs LeAnne and I do hope your day is as happy as happy gets!

Scrapmaster's Paradise Color Challenge #58

Hi Everyone, It's time for Scrapmaster's Paradise Color Challenge #58. I really love using these colors.

I took a lot of pictures of this card and couldn't decide which picture was the best one to post. I really didn't think any did the card justice. The first one was taken inside in a sunny spot. The second one was taken outside in the shade. I think it shows the colors and detail better. What do you think?

Card Recipe:
Stamp: Vintage Vogue and Very Vintage Jumbo Wheel
Ink: Crumb Cake, Soft Suede, and Certainly Celery
Card Stock: Soft Suede, Certainly Celery, Crumb Cake
Acc: SU ribbon,  SU flower punch, Spellbinder Nestabilities, and a brad from my statch

We had 18 wonderful cards in the challenge last week.  Samantha gives away Stampin Up products for the prize. You don't want to miss out on that do you? I can't wait to see what you do with our colors this week.

Stamp Scrap Doodle Saturday

Hi Happy Saturday! It is time for another Stamp, Scrap and Doodle Saturday Challenge. First I want to thank all of you who joined in last weeks challenge. We had over 90 entries. It is so much fun to see all those wonderful cards.  The good news is Meljen's Designs is our sponser again this week. Yea!!!
Here is a little bit about Meljen's Designs.

Meljen's Designs is a lovely stamp company owned and illustrated by Melissa Jenkins. She illustrates whimsical digital images inspired by her kids and family. The Meljen's Designs store officially launched on April 1 and is steadily growing! Meljen's Designs has new releases along with a new challenge every Thursday, freebies every Monday and a Guest Designer each month at the Meljen's Designs Blog. Please visit the Meljen's Designs line of stamps at the WHIMSY STAMPS STORE to browse and enjoy Melissa's wonderful images!
The winner will get 4 digital images of their choice from Meljen's. The challenge this week is an easy one. We just want to see a digi stamp on your creation. That's it! So let your creativity flow!

Meljen's Designs offered the design team some fun images to work with this week. Please take a look before you run off to play! You can find them on my side bar or here.  My cute little guy is called Chili Chihuahua. My best friend had a chihuahua years ago. This card will be going to her. His name was Diego and he drove me nuts, but he was her best friend so I just had to like him. He was so fast and those nails!

*Paper: SU Pumpkin Pie, Tangerine Tango, DP ??
*Ink: Copic Markers

Lord Have Mercy, It's a Play Date

I made this card using Lord Have Mercy Tuesday Sketch Challenge #83. I bought the clock paper and clock embellishment at different times but I am very drawn to old looking things. I just love this Boardwalk paper. It reminds me of pictures that I have of my Grandmother who owned and ran a flower shop in the biggest hotel on the boardwalk in Atlantic City in the 1920's.  The bathing beauties  come on a sheet with different poses. I just love this paper.
The colors were inspired by the Play Date Cafe Challenge #39. You can't go wrong with these colors. As soon as I saw them I knew just what paper I was going to use.

Here is the recipe for this card:
*Stamp: CTMH Express Postage
*Paper: SU, Going Gray, Black, Graphic45          On the Boardwalk, and Times Nouveau Hip to the Jive
*Ink: Memento black
*Acc: CTMH Edge Distresser, Spare Parts Clock Icons

I really like this card. What do you think?

I got a little fancy with the title. It was just to easy this time.

Throwback Thursday Challenge with Emma

Happy Friday! I made this card today for Emma's Throwback Thursday challenge #8. I love that she has these challenges because it gets me to use my Cricut Cartridges.  I used my Gypsy to design it. I don't have a Peachy Keen stamp to fit the puppy face so I inked a nose and stamped it then I inked eyes and stamped them from the set below. I used chalk to color him and a white and black pen for detail. The Happy Birthday is kinda hard to cut out but I used Megan's cutting guide from Above Rubies Studio. It is a helpful tool. You have until tomorrow to enter Emma's challenge and she has a really great prize.

Other Challenges:
Pile it on - banners
Stamp Simply #149 - Two's Company (two of something) two words, two flower
Totally Stampalicious - For My Best Friend
Crafty Creations: Happy or Sweet (HBD Sentiment)
KL Stampin' N' Scrappin': Ribbon
Let's Capture Our Memories: Use Your Stash (Celebration Cartridge)

Here is what I used:
*Cricut Cartridge Celebrations
*Stamp: Peachy Keen Stamps Critter faces, I stamped in two parts
*Paper: SU, Almost Amethyst, Lavender Lace, DS Paper Pizazz
*Ink: SU new Concord Crush
*Acc: SU Pastels, Kaiser Rhinestones,Crystal Stickers rhinestones, Dimensionals, Zig two way glue,  Sponge, Stardust Gelly Roll Clear Pen

Do you see my new card holder? I was in an antique store looking for one and the sweet lady said she saw one at St Vinnie's.  So I headed right over. I only paid $3.50 for it. I am sure if it was at an antique store it would have cost a lot more. I have seen other people use them and have wanted one for about a year now. Boy was I happy when I found it still sitting right were shes told me it was. Then  I looked around and found the big stack of envelopes. I love treasure hunts when I find something useful.

I have another card to show you later today but I need to go to the grocery store before it starts raining again. So be sure to stop back.

MoJo Monday, Girlfriends, Color Throwdown

This is a big card. I was in St Vinnie's today and I found a packet of envelopes. There were 33, 7 3/4 X 5 1/2 with card fronts and 25 small 4X5 cards and envelopes all for $2.50. Is that a great deal or what?
I wanted to use my other Girlfriends stamp and the Mojo Monday sketch. I needed a big card to do this. The stamp has one more dancer but I wiped the ink off before I stamped the image. This is such a fun card. Can you read it? The top right says, "Happy Birthday tu tu you!" The bottom right says, "Note to self...less tequlla!" Aren't they just the cutes? They are all glitter up. I also used Color Throwdown's colors for this week's challenge. I just love the new SU colors. Marina Mist is my favorite.
I had some trouble with different parts of this card but I won't tell you and maybe you won't see all my mistakes.
I really need a class in Photo Shop. I don't think my pictures are near as clear. The picture on the top is before PSE. This one is after I added the water mark and saved it. Can you see a difference? Please if you can help at all I would really apperciate it.

Now for the card:
  • Stamps: Art Impressions Girlfriends Dancers
  • Paper: SU, Marina Mist, Not Quite Navy, Wild Wasabi
  • Ink: Marina Mist, Copic Markers BG 72, B 00, G 24, C 3, E oo, RV 10, E 02
  • Acc: SU Very Vintage jumbo wheel, Viva Decor Ice White Pearl Pen, Dimensionals, Glue Dots, Spellbinder Blossom, Sponge, Stardust Gelly Roll Clear Pen, Glimmer Mist Pearl, MS Deco Fans Punch boarder punch.
So there you have it. I hope you liked it and maybe got an idea or two.

Girlfiends and 2 Challenges

I am so excited to share this card with you. I saw this stamp set at the Baker's Wife a month ago and I didn't get it, but this weekend when I was there I did and boy and I happy. I think this is the best card ever. I am not happy with the picture. If you can't read it, it says, "We'll always be friends...we know way too much about each other." That just cracks me up. This set comes with two more sentiment. I will save them for another post. I came home with two sets, so you will have to stop back to see what is in the other set. I can't wait to get this card in the mail to a good friend who helped me out last week when I thought I lost my wallet. It was a home on the couch. We were out for lunch. That is such a scary feeling.

I used Arielle's wonderful colors from her challenge #42 at ColorQ. I used SU card stock in the challenge colors.

I colored the image with Copic makers BG10, YR16, R29, R20, RV10, E31, Y21, YR04, E00, C3.

The stamp set is called Girlfriends In the Tub. There are several different Girlfriend sets. If you call Phillis at 715 356-5626, she would be happy to send you this set or anything you might need. The cost is $20 plus tax and you would need to send her the postage. She is not an online store but an independent shop owner. She will tell you she doesn't know the shipping until it is shipped and that you need to read the envelope and send that to her. She is so funny. I have been helping her with her blog for the store. If you vacation in the Minocqua, Wisconsin area you would really enjoy your time in her shop. Be sure to tell her you read about it here on my blog or that you visited her blog.

Thanks for stopping, and for leaving a comment. I really appreciate hearing from you.

Hi Happy Saturday! This week at Stamp, Scrap and Doodle Saturday we have a great challenge for you. The challenge is to make a card or project with an animal on it. Our wonderful sponsor this week is MelJens Designs and if you are the lucky winner you will get to pick 4 digital stamps of your choice. I just love the one I used for this challenge. He is called Sick Little Bear. I really enjoy sitting and look at all the fun images at their sight. You can get some great ideas and stamps.

I got the idea for thi
s card from the card Arielle made for The Pink Elephant challenge last Monday. She made the cutest card and put a Tastefully Simple Sweet Bell Pepper Dip Mix and a recipe in her card. Check it out here. I decided that since this was a get well I should but Advile in the pocket. I had a sample from a store and thought it would work great in this card.

The paper is from CTMH. I colored the image with Copic Markers. The tag sentiment is from a SU stamp set called Sincere Salutations. The ribbon is Whisper White Organza from SU.

I hope you will join us this week at SSDS. I can't wait to see all your animal creations.

ColorQ and Sweet Sunday Challenge

Hi, I just wanted to make a quick post. I am up at the cabin with my son and hubby.
I made this card before we left and I didn't get a chance to post it. There really is a lot of work before we get to relax.
I mad this card for ColorQ Challenge #41. I thought they were wonderful colors. I made a card and a tiny Post it note cover.

This picture isn't the best. The base is black with some gray. The stamp set it SU Delight in life (I think). I used a MS punch for the border and the inside. The sketch is Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge 77. I love Karen's card.

Here is a view of the inside.Well I am off to visit a favorite scrapbook store. Be sure to stop back tomorrow for Stamp Scrap and Doodle Saturday Challenge. I have my post already scheduled so I hope it pops up.
Have a great weekend.

Unscripted #63

The ladies at Unscripted have a bonus challenge this week. Besides there wonderful sketch they have a color challenge.

It is Christmas in July at Unscripted and they have all kinds of fun things going on over there. The best part is the wonderful cards you will see by the DT.

My card was picked again as one of the top three cards! I was so surprised and pleased to see my card in the top three again. Thank you ladies for picking my card.

Here is the card I made for the challenge this week.

This is my first Christmas card for this year. I used SU card stock, a Gina K. snowflake stamp, white embossing powder, two CB embossing folder, and the sentiment is from a SU set.

Clean & Simple FTL98

Oh my goodness, I do love the sketches at Clean and Simple. I think this is one of my favorite sketches so far. My picture does not look that good but I love this card. I could add a ribbon and flowers but I wanted to keep it simple. The colors were motivated by this picture from the Play Date Cafe Challenge #37.

The outside is all SU. It is so simple but really conveys a message. On the inside I used a stamp from Impression Obsessions. It says, "Death leaves a heartache No one can heal, Love leaves a memory No one can steal." This is a quote from an Irish Tombstone. The stamp set is my favorite for sympathy cards. I am sad for those in such sorry and that I have so many lately but happy in knowing that those who have crosses over are happy. I truly believe that when we die we are in a wonderful place. I really love this stamp set but I tore the stamp taking it off the sheet. I am not sure of the quality but every sentiment is perfect. Another sentiment in the set, that I love, is one that gave great comfort to a friend who's son died at 25 is, "Perhaps they are not stars in the sky, but rather openings in heaven where the love of our lost ones pours through and shine down to let us know they are happy." I love that sentiment. Two of my favorite books are The Shake and Do Dead People Watch Us in the Shower? These two books have given me a lot of comfort. I know they are fiction but they spoke to my heart and help when I am missing those people who are no longer here for me to touch.

Stamp Scrap Doodle Saturday

It is time for another Stamp, Scrap, and Doodle Saturday and the challenge is to create a scene. Our sponsor is Sugar Creek Hollow.

The picnic basket, the inside sentiment, and the ants are all digi stamps from this fun company. I created the picnic table by just cutting CS. I played around with flipping and turning the ants to get them how I wanted them. Then I printed them on acetate, sprayed it with hair spray, cut the strip out and glued it on top. The tree is a stamp from the Raisin Boat Company. This is one I got in the mail. I am not doing so good sending them back and getting new ones. I love the ones I have and just want to keep them.

I really like this Sugar Creek sentiment I printed on the inside of the card. "It wouldn't be a picnic without the ants." I think that is a life lesson. Really, it would not be life if we didn't have some annoyances. So I think this card is a great one to show support to a friend who might need a reminder that the bumps, or in this case the ants, are there to help us appreciate life when life is going great.

I hope you will make a scene and join us at SSDS this week. I am looking forward to seeing all your creations.
