Unscripted Sketches, JUGS and More

It is Saturday and that mean a new sketch for Unscripted #42. I just love following their sketches. This was an easy card once I thought of what I wanted to do. Well the Split Negative was a little tricky. I did this technique foe the Just Us Girls Challenge. I watch Gina K at Stamp TV do this technique and I have always wanted to give it a try. the Stamp I used an old stamp that I got at a garages sale a long time ago. It is by Hero Arts and is called Tree II. The sentiment is Trendy Trees from SU. The black pearls are from Queen and Co. The paper is by Kaiser Craft called Ebony and Ivory. I love this paper and it matched the tree stamp so well.

This next picture is the inside. It is the other side of the DP and I punched it with a MS punch. The great part about making a split negative is that you end up with two images so I made two card. I didn't stamp the inside yet because I thought this would work for a get well or a sympathy card.

Thanks to Caryl at Stamps and Stitches I see that this card fits two more challenges Stars and Stamps Technique Challenge: Heat Embossing (the trees were embossed with white and black embossing powder), and Our Creative Corner: Something Old (The tree stamp is like I said is something old. Go check out her card. Caryl did a beautiful Valentine card that fit 13 challenges.

I tried to post the video I made of my old and new scrap room. I couldn't do it with the add movie button. So if anyone knows how to add a movie to a blog and would like to teach me how I would love to hear from you.

Have a wonderful Valentine's Day!

Thanks for stopping,

Happy Anniversary James and Carol Lynn!

I made this card for my evil stepson (he calls me his evil stepmother) and his very talented wife. She makes the coolest skirts, bags and books. Check it out at http://www.recreatedesigns.com/. It was their second wedding anniversary today. I feel so bad that I am sending this late. :( Their wedding was at a lake and the bride came across the lake in a canoe. It was a wonderful wedding. Their first date was at the same state park where the wedding took place. Their first date and the wedding were on the Summer Solstice. That should make it easy to remember. Well I remember but not early enough to get a card out on time.
After checking out the challenges I notice that this card would work for the challenge at Our Creative Corner. The challenge is to used stars.
The silhouette stamp is from the Stamp TV Eclectic Summer. The sentiment and star stamps are from SU. I chalked the background and embossed the stars in the sky with white embossing powder. The stars on the ribbon were cut using a Quickutz die. The ribbon is from A Muse. I hope they like it and can forgive me for sending it late.

Our Creative Corner

This is my card for Our Creative Corner. I started with Kraft card stock then but ribbon across that. Next I cut the basket with my Cricut using Doodlecharmes. The blue flowers are from Fiskers. The birthday stamp is Dainty Thoughts from CTMH. The green stems are a SU stamp but I don’t know the name. I think it is just a fun little card. Let me know what you think.
