Flutter by Wednesday and High Hopes

I made this card for two challenges. Dannis Dreams Flutter by Wednesday#60 and High Hopes Challenge #33 called No Corners.
Dannis’ challenge was open as long as it has a fairy or a butterfly. High Hopes Challenge was to make a card with no corners. The basic card came in a package and was cream colored. I chalked the edges first with brown and then with pink. Next I cut the DP from CTMH with my Nestabilities. Then I used a bird house sticker from The Paper Studio. Next I added some butterfly gems and a pink and white dotted bow at the top. I think it is a little busy but kinda pretty. What do you think?

Card Positioning System

I made this card for Card Positioning Systems Challenge This is an old stamp I bought years ago. I wanted to use it on a card but I thought it was too big. So I stamped it, took it to a copy machine and reduced the size. When I saw this sketch I thought about a frog and a lilly pad. I have always liked this stamp. It is one I bought for school. I use it to stamp the students papers and they use it to stamp poems and stories. I wanted to stamp hoppy birthday but was unsuccessful at changing the a to an o.

Stamp is from Inkadinkado.
Paper Spring collection DCWV The Spring Stack
White flower is from CTMH
Yellow ribbon is something I had
Copic markers YG03, YG67, B41 to color Mr. Frog

Baby Fox

Everyday I drive the back roads to the school were I teach. I have about a 40 minute drive each way. I see some amazing sights. One day it was that beautiful rainbow that I posted a while ago. Yesterday it was a family of cranes and a baby fox. I can't help but have a great day when it starts out with these beautiful sights.

A New Blog with Blog Candy

I found another great blog called Prairie Fairy. It is Roberta Laliberte’s blog and she is giving away some great blog candy in honor of her 13th wedding anniversary on June 29. I just got this set for CTMH and I love it. You can't really see how pretty this paper is from the picture, but it is gorgeous. Go and check it out.

Sketch Saturday

This card is for Sketch Saturday Birthday Challenge. I used a sticker from The Paper Studio. The sticker has glitter on it. I wanted to use one of the stickers from this set for a while. I love this sticker. I hope it is OK to use stickers. I don’t know the name of the happy birthday stamp but I liked the font. I used a SU punch for the sentiment which is attached to SU C Celery grosgrain ribbon. I used Kraft card stock for the card base. This is another birthday card for add to my birthday card stash. Let me know what you think.

Taylored Expressions

This card is for Taylored Expressions Challenge #70. I love the layout. I thought this would be easy since I had some DP and a stamp set that all go together. This card took a long time. I had the wrong ink at first. Then I didn’t stamp it good. Finally it came together and I really like it. The paper, ink and stamp are from CTMH. The large brad is from SU. It is called build your own. The ribbon is from my ribbon collection.

Our Creative Corner

This is my card for Our Creative Corner. I started with Kraft card stock then but ribbon across that. Next I cut the basket with my Cricut using Doodlecharmes. The blue flowers are from Fiskers. The birthday stamp is Dainty Thoughts from CTMH. The green stems are a SU stamp but I don’t know the name. I think it is just a fun little card. Let me know what you think.

Stamp TV

I made this card for Thursday Sketch Challenge at Stamp TV. Stamp TV is a fun place to visit. There is so much to learn. I am a visual learner and the videos are great.
I used purple card stock for the base the pattern paper is a Karen Foster design paper called Friendship Knot. The stamp is from Great Impressions called Garden Critters and I colored it with Copie Markers. The happy birthday was stamped with Versa Mark and embossed with SU white embossing powder. I have a friend who loves purple and gardening. Her birthday is this summer. Now if I just remember that I made her a card and where I put it I’ll be doing good.

Two Challenges

I made this card for Crafty Monkeys Challenge 25 “Lets get buggy!” I used the layout from Kerin Sylvester’s Thursday Sketch Challenge #15. I love the the sketch. It was easy to work with but it still took over an hour to come up with this card. I used Kraft for the base. The pattern paper is something I found in an old scrap folder. It is so pretty. I cut the two flowers with Nestabilities, and stamped Happy Birthday with Versa Mark. Then I used SU chalk to make it show up. I chalked the bottom flower to enhance the embossing. The green leaves were cut with Sizzlits Little Leaves from SU. The pink ribbon is form SU. The bee stamp is a CTMH stamp called Little Garden. The Happy Birthday was a CTMH set called Playful Flourishes. I colored the bee with glaze pens. I layered the flower and bee with dimensionals. So what do you think?

Dare U 2 Digi

This card is for Dare-U-2 Digi Stamp. The image is one I got from Squigglefly” One-a-Day in May Digifest. Isn’t it cute. The base card is black and the pattern paper has cat prints on it. The little mouse is flying away. I liked the black, red and white. The stamp, “What’s Up?,” is from Hero Arts. I stamped it with Versa Mark and use SU white embossing powder. The black and white checkered ribbon is something I had. This was a fun card that can be used to say hello. Let me know what you think.
