Unscripted Sketches and Stamptacular Sunday
I made this card for two challenges. The layout is for Unscripted Sketches. Stamptacular Sunday challenge was called “Party Animal.” I love the layout it was easy to work with. They really have great sketches to work from. Check it out and get some great ideas. When I read “party animal” I thought of my ant stamp from High Hopes, but he had a potted plant in his hands. I had downloaded a free digital birthday cake from Bee Crafty and thought it would work perfect. I colored it with Copic markers and cut it out. Then I colored and cut out the ant. They fit together perfectly. Then I glued him to some yellow check paper from my scrap box. The rest of the paper also came from my scrap box. The brads are from SU called ‘Build a Brad.” I used stickers “H,” “B,” “D,” for Happy Birthday Day. I am going to a SU workshop tomorrow and I need to get a punch that matches the Build a Brad. They are fun to use and I think a punch the right size is a must have.
Please leave a comment and let me know what you think. Thanks!
Stamp TV 3D June
This is another entry for Stamp TV monthly 3D challenge. I keep thinking of more projects I can make. This is a container full of 3” X 3 1/2” birthday cards. These will be the cards I will give my students on their birthday. I used the same Viactiv container but a smaller one this time. I covered it with free digital paper from Stamp TV. All you have to do is click “Freebies,” select what you want, download and print. It is easy and fun. I cut the tag with my Cricut. I tied ribbon that I could curl around the container and tag. I stamped the cupcake, candle, and sentient from Gina K’s 100% Sweet stamp set. The cup cake and candle were stamped on white card stock. I cut them out and glued them to the tag. That took some time. I didn’t want to cut 18 cupcakes so I used Gina K’s Pure Luxury 120lb. card stock for the cards. That way I could color with Copic markers and not have it bleed through. I cut and stamped 18 cards. First I stamped the cup cake, then the candle, last the sentiment. I used a SU Stamp-a-ma-jig to line up the sentiment. That is a very useful tool. I used Stinkling like a Star clear Spica pen to add sparkle on the icing. I colored three cards so far. I am saving the rest to take with me when we go to the cabin again so that I have something to keep me busy if the weather is bad and I don’t want to fish. I am going to love having these little cards ready to write a special message in for each child on his/her special day.

Stampin for the Weekend
The challenge for Stampin for the Weekend is to make a pocket card. I needed to make a wedding card for an up coming wedding. Since I would probably be writing a check I thought why not make a pocket card for the check. I decided I needed to make a practice one first. That is the pink and green one. I used DCWV The Spring Stack for the printed paper, green card stock for the accent which I cut with my Fiskars punch and my square Nestabilities. I also used my Scor-pal to score the folds. I am so happy I bought the Scor-pal. I really use it a lot. The stamp is A Muse and I colored the bride with a Spica “Twinkling like a stars,” pen. Then I tied it shut with some shear pink and white ribbon.
The second card I made with paper I bought specifically for this wedding card. It is Basic Gray porcelain with a matching green card stock. I used the same stamp from A Muse, and colored it with the same pen. I punched it with a different Fiskars punch that I thought went better with the paper. I tied it closed with a shear ribbon that has a gold sheen. Now I am not sure which one I like better. I am happy with the way they both turned out. What do you think?
I was just checking out some more challenges and this card works for A Spoonfull of Sugar Challenge.
Stamp TV Monthly Challenge 3D
This is my entry for Stamp TV monthly challenge which is a 3d challenge. I love this challenge because I am a container junkie. I have a hard time tossing boxes and containers when they are empty. I know some of you are saying, "me too."
I have told you that I teach first grade. One thing I try to teach the children is not to interrupt when I am working with a guided reading group. Well, I am going to take this container to my classroom. When a student has a question he or she can write it on a piece of paper and put it in the "Bug Me Anytime," container. I won't be interrupted and they will get to practice their writing skills as an extra bonus. Do you think it will work? Well a girl can dream can't she?
The stamp are from Gina K's new "Bug Me Anytime," stamps by Nina Brackett.
The paper is for a DCWV pack called The Spring Stack.
The container is from my, "I can not throw this away," stuff.
MoJo Monday
This is the card I made for MoJo Monday. The stamp is from my new Gina K. Design stamp set called "Happy Camper." The base paper is her new pure luxury card stock called soft sand. I stamped the image and cut it out. I used Gina's sky background for behind the mountains. The paper and ribbon is from my scrap box. The mini square is for Making Memories.
Gina K June Release #1
I made this card for Gina K June Release Challenge 1 -Sketch it- at Splitcoaststampers. Find more at Stamp TV.
I used my brand new Gina K “100% Sweet” by Rupa Shevde. One of my favorite people is a chocolate lover whose favorite color is purple. Her modo is to eat desert first. This is a perfect card for her. I am thinking about making a set of these note cards as a birthday gift. The paper is all from my scrap box. I am not sure what it is. I did use my Copic markers to color the ice cream. I stamped the image a second time on pattern paper, cut it out and paper pieced the ice cream dish. What do you think?

Four in One
This is my card for Our Creative Corner. The challenge was to use stars. I had this idea in my head all week but here it is the final hour and I am just getting it completed. I cut the stars on my Cricut. I printed the sentiment on the computer and I stamped Happy Birthday to You on the inside. I love the blue stars. They are cut out of a 12X12 sheet of sparkly paper that had a sticky back. The red ribbon was from Gina K. My nieces birthday in on the 6th of July. Not quite the 4th but I think it still is a great card for her.
I was just looking at the challenges and this card fits the Stamptacular Sunday Challenge It is red, white, blue and has stars.
Wow this also works for Crafty Creations Challenge.
This also works for the Cuttlebug Spot Challenge
Three in One
I made this card for Potluck Friday - Let's Go Digital! STVPF19. There are two components. First to use digital paper and second to make a non-standard size card. This card went together so fast with the digital paper. I used a piece of light blue card stock. I could have printed the DP on card stock but I didn’t think of that until after I printed it on paper. The hot air balloons are stamped on the digital DP called “Bug me Any Time.” I stamped them in different directions to make them look different. I just love the background DP. I think it looks like fireworks to me on this card. If you go to the forum page Stampin Pam gives 6 reasons why you should try digital paper. I agree with her on every reason. It was easy to download and print. The colors printed out great.
This card also works for Paper Take Weekly Challenge. It was to do something digital.
This card also works for Card Positioning Systems Challenge. http://cardpositioningsystems.blogspot.com/

Stamp TV Sketch Challenge 18
This is the card I made for Stamp TV sketch challenge 18. This was a fun card to make. I got to use some of my wonderful new stuff. The paper is the digital paper I bought last night after the stamp release party. The corner punch, brads and ribbon I got yesterday when I was at the Stamp TV store in McFarland, WI. That was soooo much fun! I love the digital paper. I printed the DP on white card stock. It is a dark color but the inside is still white which makes it easy to stamp and write a message. I love that. I ordered the new release stamps “Bug Me Anytime” that will go with this paper. This is going to make it so easy to put everything together for quick and wonderful cards. Let me know what you think.
Wonderful News
Hi Everyone, We got the best news on Monday. Gary and I are going to be grandparents. I made this card for James and Carol Lynn to say congratulations. I got a new cartridge for my Cricut in the mail yesterday called New Arrivals. The mommy-to-be is the first key on the key pad. There are so many great images on that cartridges. I got the Nestabilities yesterday on a shopping spree with my best friend. I love this shape for backgrounds. The paper is from SU and the stamp is from CTMH. The pink ribbon is for A Muse and the blue is something I had. Please, let me know what you think.

Flutter by Wednesday and Clean and Simple
This will be a quick post. I wanted to get a card in for Flutter by Wednesday #62, and Clean and Simple Stamping. I made one like this in a Copic class but I used a bee instead of a butterfly. I love the flower so much I bought a 6 petal punch and a Scorepal just to make it. Yike! I need to make a lot of flowers now. They really are fun. You have to take a class from A Muse to learn how to make it. I guess there is a copyright on it. The paper and sentiment are A Muse, the butterfly is CTMH. The sentiment says, "friends make life blossom." I made a new friend today. Hi Lovely Linda. Check out her blog. Please leave a comment and let me know what you think.

Happy Anniversary James and Carol Lynn!
I made this card for my evil stepson (he calls me his evil stepmother) and his very talented wife. She makes the coolest skirts, bags and books. Check it out at http://www.recreatedesigns.com/. It was their second wedding anniversary today. I feel so bad that I am sending this late. :( Their wedding was at a lake and the bride came across the lake in a canoe. It was a wonderful wedding. Their first date was at the same state park where the wedding took place. Their first date and the wedding were on the Summer Solstice. That should make it easy to remember. Well I remember but not early enough to get a card out on time.
After checking out the challenges I notice that this card would work for the challenge at Our Creative Corner. The challenge is to used stars.
The silhouette stamp is from the Stamp TV Eclectic Summer. The sentiment and star stamps are from SU. I chalked the background and embossed the stars in the sky with white embossing powder. The stars on the ribbon were cut using a Quickutz die. The ribbon is from A Muse. I hope they like it and can forgive me for sending it late.
Unscripted Sketches 11
This is the card I made for Unscripted Sketches Challenge. I used: A Muse paper and ribbon, CTMH sentiment, SU stamp for the cupcake which I colored with Tombow markers and the flower is for Maya Road. I don’t think of me as a pink person but I really like this card. I like to have a sketch to follow. They have great sketches at Unscripted Sketches. Please leave a comment and let me know what you think.
MoJo Monday Week 91
This is my card for Mojo Monday. I used my Stamp TV Eclectic Summer stamps. The paper is Karen Foster Design Friendship Knot, Paper Pizazz, and Core Color. I embossed this with my Cuttlebug and sanded it. The ribbon is something I had.
I went to the camera shop yesterday and got some tips on how to take pictures for this. I am think I need a few more lessons. The colors in this are not very true. Let me know what you think.

STV Sketch 17 and KW Color Challenge 55
I made this card for two challenges. The layout is for Stamp TV’s sketch challenge. The colors are for KWerner Design Color Inspiration Challenge #55 I always have a hard time with the color challenges because I am not sure if I have the right colors.
The colors were basic gray, rust, mustard and vanilla/cream. The butterfly stamp and sentiment is from my Stamp TV Eclectic Summer. The paper is SU DP. The rust card stock is from SU. The butterfly is embossed with Zing mustard embossing powder. The ribbon is from Making Memories. I love the layout but I am not so sure I like how I used the colors. Let me know what you think.

Technique Challenge Stamp TV
I made this card for Stamp TV Gina K Technique Challenge-Embossing Only with Nestabilities . The base card is one I got already cut out. Then I dry embossed it with my Nestabilities and rubbed the edge with blue metallic rub-ons. That was another technique I learned watching Stamp TV. The paper is Lime Rickey patterned paper that came in my Eclectic Summer Kit from Stamp TV. The fish stamp is from the same kit. I love this kit. I am finding more ways to use it. I colored the fish with Twinkling H2Os Shimmering Water Colors. I just got them when I was on vacation. Your can’t see it in the picture but the fish shimmers. It really is neat. The letters are stickers for Making Memories. I hope you like this card I sure do. Let me know what you think.

Mom and Baby
While I as out in my kayak today I saw two different families of deer.
First there was a mom and twins. It was hard to get a good picture of them. You will have to look very close to see them. If you click on the picture and make it big the twins are in the center.
The next family was a doe and her fawn. I keep paddling in their direction and they did not seem to mind. I kept taking pictures. They would look at me but they didn't run. This is only a couple. I love to take animal pictures. Oh! I also saw a BIG musky. It came right next to my kayak. I couldn't get his picture but that was neat too.

The Big One and His Brother
Today I caught the Big One and his older brother. It was so much fun. They both gave me a good fight and I was afraid they were going to break my line but they didn't. The second fish was the one that broke my line yesterday and he wasn't as big and the first one I caught today. He had another persons hook in his cheek and a gauge out of his side. Poor thing, I felt bad for him. It didn't slow him down any.
Flutter-by-Wednesday
I got the nicest surprise in the mail the other day from a very kind lady named Lorraine. Her blog is Coldwaters 2. She stamped several Tilda images and sent them to me along with some very pretty paper. Thank you Lorraine! Wasn’t the nice of her? I don’t know very much about the Tilda stamps. I am looking for information about their background. I made this card for Dannis Dreams Flutter-by-Wednesday. Her challenge was to use butterflies or fairies and any sketch. The sketch I picked was from Card Positioning Systems for this week. Like I said I don’t know anything about Tilda and I am not sure if she is a fairy. She has wings so I am guessing that she is. That is the information I am looking for. I just think she is so cute. I love coloring these stamps. Let me know what you think.
Stamp Tilda and sentiment Dainty Thoughts from CTMH, Paper DP from SU, colored with Copic markers

Post for the North Woods
I have been taking pictures all day and I just had to post a couple. The first picture is of beautiful Lynx Lake. It is a picture of the clouds in the lake. I love when the lake is calm and it is like a mirror. The next picture is of me with the bass I caught today. I had a much bigger one on earlier but it broke my line and got away.
Eclectic Summer for Mojo Monday
This is the card I made of Mojo Monday Challenge 43.
I use a ruler, a craft knife and my Creative Memories cutting mat to cut the paper. It is 45 minutes to a store that would have a paper trimmer. I did remember the craft knife. I don’t use it very much and am not sure why I brought it but I am glad I did. The base card is from A Muse and I embossed it with my Cuttlebug. The stamps are from Stamp TV Eclectic Summer. I colored the flowers and basket with Copic markers. The accent paper is DP from SU. I punched the sentiment out with my SU punch. I told you I brought everything except the paper trimmer. I really like this card and I love the layout. It went together quickly. Let me know what your think.

Card Positioning System 119
I am posting this from our cabin in Northern Wisconsin. It is beautiful here but the mosquitos are bad right now. My hubby is out fishing. I planned to make some cards. I hauled up a big case full of supplies. It took both of us to carry the case into the cabin. I was getting out my paper when I realize that I forgot my paper trimmer. That is a big problem for me. I made this card using a ruler and scissors. I think it will be my only card this weekend. I need my paper trimmer. This card is for Card Positioning Systems 119 Challenge. The stamp is from CTMH called Be Yourself. I love the stamp. I cut up a flower for the dress. I wish I could say this was my idea but I saw it at a CTMH class. The bling is CTMH Sparkles. The ribbon is something I had and the paper is SU DP. I knew as soon as I saw the layout this week this was what I wanted to do. It is a fun layout don’t you think?

Eclectic Summer Stamps
Today was the last day of school with the children and a parent gave me a very generous gift card. That was so kind of her and very unexpected. This is the thank you card I made for her. I used my Eclectric Summer Kit from Gina K at Stamp TV. I even followed her directions for the card called "Pullin Pastels." If you haven't watched Stamp TV you should check it out. I thought my seahorse need a little something so I used Spica clear on the second seahorse. I think it made a big difference. What do you think?

Unscripted Sketches 09
This card is for my brother's birthday on Wednesday. I used the sketch from Unscripted Sketches 09. I liked the sketch. The chair stamp is from Great Impressions. I colored it with Copic markers YG03, YG67, B24, R35, E57, E33, BG10 and Y17. The fish stamps and the happy birthday are from CTMH. The stamp that says, "Early to bed, Early to rise, Fish all day, Make up lies." is from JRL Design CO. I have had this stamp for a long time and really can't remember were I got it, but I thought it would be fun on this card. The "make up lies" didn't fit but that was OK with me. I didn't want by brother to know that I know the real story behind a "fish story." I hope you like it.
Taylored Expressions #71
This is the card I made for Taylored Expressions Cupcake Challenge #71 I loved the layout and I was very motivated after my A Muse and Copic class this weekend. The stamps, paper and ribbon are from A Muse. I got the stamps when I was up North over Memorial Day weekend. The sentiment says, "The journey is the reward - Chinese proverb." It always seems like a long journey to go up to the cabin but it is always rewarded with beautiful memories. I am so thankful that we don't have to enjoy it in a tent.
Our Creative Corner
I made this card for Our Creative Corner Sketch Challenge after being inspired by the A Muse class this weekend. The stamps, paper and ribbon are all A Muse. I hope you all are having a beeutiful day!
STVSC15 Challenge
This card is for Stamp TV Sketch Challenge 15. I ordered Gina K’s Summer kit and I couldn’t believe how nice the stamps are. I took the kit to school to have a stamping friend try it out. They have a high quality feel to them when you use them. You can't see the sentiment but it says, "Thank you."
Stamps; Gina K Eclectic Summer, Paper; something I had, Flowers and Butterfly stamped on Gina K pure luxury base weight pure white card stock layering weight (80lb) with Memento Rich Cocoa, colored with Copic Markeres R35, E57, B24, Y13, Spica clear and lemon, and Inkssentials opaque pen, Sentiment from CTMH
A Muse Copic Class
Saturday was great. I went shopping with my best buddy and then went to a stamp and coloring class. I made 5 cards, met some wonderful people and learned a lot. All the stamps, paper, and embellishments are from A Muse. I love the clean look of these products. The teacher's name is Kamila Younkman and her blog is: littlescrapsofheaven.typepad.com. She is very helpful and extremely patient. Here are the cards I made. The last one is called Fancy Fold Flower. It is so cute. The flower is a 6 petal flower that you fold. When you open it there is a bee inside and it says, "Hi, Friend." The outside says, " friends make life blossom. The margarita says, "When life gives you limes make margritas." I love all the cards but those two are my favorite. The bee is colored with Copics and Lemon Spica. The head is a tiny gem called Yellow Twinkle Sticker. There is a little line behind the bee made with black dots and Clear Spicas. You can't see that in the picture but it is so cute. What do you think?
