Rolodex Card A Day 365

I can't believe I made it. There were many challenges along the way. Trips, Moving my MIL twice and her passing away, new babies, cat illnesses, visits to the cabin but I still continued.
Here is RCAD 365

Here is the process video for this card.

I really am very proud of myself. I set a goal and went after it. I did learn a lot and feel I have grown in my art. I do plan to continue doing art every day. I may not share it every day but I will share. I have a video that is a slide show of all the cards coming soon. Your feed back is what really helps me to grow. Thank you so much.
May you have a wonderful and safe New Years!
Big Hugs to you all!
Linda

Rolodex Card A Day 364

Day two of our trip. We are headed to Colorado today. It snowed most of the way to Lincoln NE. It was a light snow but it did start getting slippery just as we got to Lincoln. Good thing that was our first stop. It is very cold. 23 degrees was the high today. That is not with the wind chill and the wind is really blowing.

Here is the RCAD 364 that I prepared ahead of time.
Here is the process video.

I hope you enjoy this card, and that you are staying warm and cozy.

Rolodex Card A Day 360

Todays Rolodex card was created for a piece of a gift box. I love the birch trees.

Rolodex Card A Day 357

Rolodex Card A Day 357 was inspired by an ATC kit I got from Your ATC Store. The caroler made me think about all of  Christmas music we get to hear for just a short time. Do you have a favorite Christmas Song? I like Happy or Funny Christmas Songs.
Here is the process video.

Thanks for taking time from your busy day to stop in and take a look at what I have been doing.
I appreciate it!

Rolodex Card A Day 356 was inspired by some scrapes I had after making some Bowl Cozies for Christmas Gifts. You create a dart and when you cut the dart out the piece you would throw away looks like an elf hat. Well, it did to me.
Here is the video.

In the video I ask a question. I wanted to know if anyone was raided with a story about Belsnickel. I thought maybe it was just our family.  Well I just fond my answer on Google.
"Beisnickel," The figure is also preserved in Pennsylvania Dutch communities. (I grew up in PA very close to the Dutch communities). Belsnickel shows up at houses 1–2 weeks before Christmas and often created fright because he always knew exactly which of the children misbehaved.[2] He is typically very ragged and mean looking. He wears torn, tattered, and dirty clothes, and he carries a switch in his hand with which to beat bad children.  The children escape unharmed, but they are scared into being good so that Santa will bring them presents on Christmas."
My mom did feed the hoboes from the train. We lived right next to the train tracks and they would mark our side walk as a place to get a sandwich. So we may have thought one of them was him. We were scared into being good before and after Christmas. We were told he would come back and take all the presents if were were not good and appreciative of what we received. Great idea, then the parent wasn't the bad guy. LOL

Thanks for sticking with me this year. Only 10 more cards. I can not believe it. Boy this year went very fast. I think I will take two weeks off and then start with Rolodex Card Any Day 357.

I hope you are feeling good about the Holidays and enjoying some special moments.

Rolodex Card A Day 355

Hello Winter!
I am not a winter lover but today each day starts to have a little more sunlight and I love that. Here in Wisconsin we have had very little sunlight. It has been gray, gray, gray! So when December 21st comes around I know the weather may get worst but the sunlight is on its way back.
Here is my RCAD 355

Rolodex Card A Day 354

I am starting to get that panic feeling about Christmas. I kinda hurried with this RCAD using some things on my desk and what I am finding in my Christmas stash. Besides getting water color paint all over my hand it was fun and I like the end results.

Here is the process video.

If you have any questions please ask.

Things are getting done and what doesn't get done, OH WELL, I guess It wasn't suppose to happen this year.
Stay calm and have a wonderful day.

Rolodex Card A Day 353

Todays Rolodex Card was fun.  I pulled out an old Stampin Up roller stamp, a fun Raisin Boat set called Off to the Party, and the sentiment is from a Raisin Boat set called "Christmas Time."
I do like the way it turned out.
Here is the video that shows how I created RCAD 353.

Thanks for stopping by, and I do hope you have a wonderful Friday.

Rolodex Card A Day 352

The inspiration for RCAD 352 came from an adorable napkin that I received in a rack from my dear, sweet friend Myra who is "craftyrats"  on You Tube. I use a Raisin Boat Stamp for the Dear Santa from the set called "Dear Santa" and an old die cut for the ink bottle.

Here is the process video for you to see how this RCAD came together.

The inspiration for this card came for an Artist Trading Card Kit that my friend Terry O sent to me. I really had fun using what was in the kit to make the RCAD.

Here is the card.

Rolodex Card A Day 349

The inspiration for this card came from a new die set I got from My Favorite Things and a birthday gift from my friend Iley. Thank you Iley for the stamp set.
The sentiment says To Diet or Not to Diet? This is a hard time of the year for watching your weight. I have a theory that I reveal in the video about a diet at this time of the year.

Here is the process video

Thanks for stopping by and taking a look. I do love really your comments.
Happy Monday!

Rolodex Card A Day 348

The inspiration for RCAD 348 came from a card I saw in a magazine. I cut 1 inch squares from some Christmas paper and then I  stitched around each square with my sewing machine. Next I added some ribbon and a Raisin Boat image from Naughty or Nice. Finally I added a sentiment from that set and a few sequins from my collection.
This will become one of my Christmas cards for 2015.
Here is the process video so you can see just how this card came together.

I am starting up the Christmas Card All Year Challenge at You Paper Pantry for 2015. Here is a You Tube invitations.

Rolodex Card A Day 347

The inspiration for RCAD 347 came from a picture by Elizabeth O. Dulemba. Every Tuesday's she post a free coloring page. This past Tuesday Dec 9. she post a cute Sleeping Mouse. I just had to give him a try, but instead of printing him I just drew him free hand.
Then I embellished the card. It was fun.
Here is the process video.

Thanks for stopping by! I hope you have a wonderful weekend.
