Stamp TV sketch challenge

This card was made following the Stamp TV sketch. The card stock is Pure Luxury heavy base weight - Pumpkin Spice. The dark blue card stock was something I had. The DP is from the Signs of Autumn StampTV kit. The bling is from K & Company. The stamp is Friendship Blooms by Gina K. I colored the image with Copic markers. I used plain and scalloped squares by Nestability to cut out and mount the image. I like the way this note card turned out. Let me know what you think.

Spotlighting

I made this card using Stamp TV Technique - Spotlighting. I used Melanie Muechinger’s stamp set called A Year of Flowers. I stamped one poinsettia, masked it and stamped it two more times. I used the grid on my craft mat to help me line up the stamps when I stamp the flowers so I could repeat the same stamp pattern. The spotlighted image was cut with a CM circle cutter. I used a dubber with Memento Rich Cocoa. The card stock is Pure Luxury white from Gina K. The ink is SU Rose Red. Then I colored it with Copic markers. The base card is Pure Luxury white. The red and tartan are from a Christmas pack by DCWV. I used CM oval and circle cutting system to cut out the images. The red accent is EK Success Large Flourish Punch. I love this punch. A new challenge for me is Daring Card Makers. Their challenge is to use tartan somewhere on the card. I had to look up the word. I love it when I learn something new. Tartan is a woolen cloth woven with stripes crossing at right angles, worn by Scottish Highlanders. I should have know that. My dad was Scottish and was asked to wear a kilt. He refused. He was 6'2' and was afraid it would be to short. LOL!!
I am really happy with the way this card turn out. So let me know what you think.
Thanks for stopping!

Color Throwdown #61

This card is for Color Throwdown #61. The colors are olive, rose red, mustard, regal rose, and chocolate. I was not so sure about the colors but I gave it a try. Thursday I took a class on copic markers. I bought a half dozen markers and Spellbinders Borderablilies die called Lattice. I used one on this card. I really like these die cuts. The ovals are also by Spellbinders. The image is by Theresa Momber called Autumn Beauty. Theresa is on Gina K Senior Design Team. Her blog is Crafting The Web. If you haven’t been there you are missing a lot. She gives step by step directions for coloring with copic markers. The tutorials are fantastic. She is very gifted. The “Hi there” is from Bug me Anytime by Nina Brackett. That was punched out with a SU punch. The card stock is all SU.
Thanks for stopping and please let me know what you thing.

Stamp TV Collor Challenge 31

This is a quick post. I have been making cards all weekend and now I have to make time to post them. I should be cleaning the house and garden but I will get to that later.
This is my card for Stamp TV color challenge 31. The challenge is to use any shade of RED (Rocket Red, Bravo Burgundy or Rose Red, or pinks),Soft Sand (or Kraft), Chocolate Kiss, Cream or white. The boarder is done with Borderabilities from the Lattice set. I use it to cut the card base which is Kraft and then a layer of chocolate brown. The flower is from Gina K's Friendship Blooms set. I stamped it with SU rose red and colored that with Copic markers. The sentiment is from A Year of Flowers by Melanie Muenchinger. I embossed that with white embossing powder. Then I used a VersaMark pen and clear embossed the flower. The white stitching is done with a white gel pen. The little flowers are something I had. The white ribbon is from SU.
Well I am off to clean the house;(

Thanks for stopping. Let me know what you think.

Cinema Saturday

I haven't made a card for Cinema Saturday for a long time. Gina K is the special guest designer this week and there are some nice prizes. She chose the move Pretty Woman. Her card is fantastic. You can see it here. As soon as I read Pretty Woman I knew what stamp I wanted to use. The stamp set is called Be Yourself and it is from CTMH. The DP is from CTMH and is from a pack called Unforgettable. The pink card stock, called Pretty in Pink, and the white ribbon are from SU . The dress is the same DP that I paper pieced and colored with a Jelly Roll Stardust pen. The pink gems are by AMuse. The little tag is from Gina K Designs. It is a plastic tag that you can stamp. It says, "One of a kind," and is from the same stamp set. When I got this set I didn't think I would use it that much but it turns out that it is one of my favorite.
Thanks for stopping and be sure to let me know what you think.

BOO

I made this card for Unscripted Sketches. I had this stamp set in my desk at school. Instead of a Halloween party we have a spider party at the end of our unit on spiders which we study the last week in October. I thought the stamp set was a SU set but it is from JRL Design Co. I have had it so long I can’t remember when I got it. The letters to make ‘boo’ are from a set by CTMH. I used clear embossing powder for the web. You cant see that too well in this picture but it is there. The tag is from Spellbinders called Fancy Tags. I am having a little trouble using these die cuts. It is hard to get the paper out of the die after it is cut. If you have any suggestion or advice about using these please let me know. The Trick or Treat is from a House Mouse & Friends set. I popped up the big spider and the word ‘boo.’ The ribbon is something I had
So what do you think?

Duble Duty

This card and scrapbook page are both made with a stamp set by Asela Hopkins called Framed Friends. The scrapbook challenge over at Stamp TV is called Double Duty. Gina’s challenge was to pick one of your favorite stamp sets and make both a scrapbook page and a card using the same set. I love this set of little animals. They are so much fun to color and they are the kind of image that just makes you smile. The layout for the card is the sketch from Unscripted Sketches this week. I really liked the sketch this week. The card stock is SU certainly celery and so saffron. I used Copic markers to color the images. The beautiful children in the pictures are my great niece and nephews.
Let me know what you think.

Cracked Glass

The technique this week at Stamp TV is called Cracked Glass. I didn't have the thick clear embossing powder and I did have to do the technique many times to get it to work. I think I liked it better before I cracked it but it is a different look. I don't think it is a technique I will use much. Now that I say that I will probably find myself using it more than I thought I would. It would look cool on a winter card.
The stamp is by Theresa Momber call Autumn Beauty. I used Copic markers. The card stock is SU Certainly Celery, Always Artichoke and Pure Luxury Green Apple. The sentiment is by Melanie Muenchinger. The tag is Fancy Tags.
This card also works for Paper Manic Challenge #2 which is ribbon. Pile it On which is punchers. Do nesties count as a punch?

3D Challenge for September at Stamp TV

The 3D challenge for August at Stamp TV is to alter a notebook of any size. I used one of those black and white copy books and covered it with paper by Karen Foster called Preschool Collage. The image is stamped with a set by Rupa Shevde called Back to School, and cut with Nestabilities. The ribbon I used for the book marker is something that I had. It is attached in the back under the dp paper. On the first page I have a picture of my class. This is my journal for this year at school.
Thanks for stopping and let me know what you are thinking. Have a great Sunday!

Stamp TV Sketch Challenge

This is the card I made for Stamp TV's sketch challenge. I didn't have the die cut that was on the layout so I used a square one and another one. Then I turned one. I didn't color the scarecrow because I though he looked good the way he was.

High Hopes Challenge #44 Wrap it Up

This weeks challenge for High Hopes is called Wrap it Up. The challenge was to make anything but a card. I found these boxes in out copy room and thought they would make cute gift card boxes. Instead of cards I am going to put tea bags in this on and give it as a get well gift. A lot of the teachers are already coming down with sore throats and bad colds. I thought this might make them feel better.
The stamp is from High Hopes and the "tea for two" and the little tea cup on the flap are from a Hero Arts stamp set. I colored the angle with Copic markers. I also used atyou Spica baby blue glitter pen on the wings.
I made this on Sunday but I schedule the post for today. I hardly get to my email during the week. I really like that I can schedule post for different days.
Thanks for stopping and let me know what you think.

Color Throwdown and Unscripted Sketches

I made this card for Color Throwdown and Unscripted Sketches. The colors are Pumpkin Pie, Close to Cocoa, and Ruby Red. The stamps I used were from a set called Trendy Trees from SU. The ribbon is from SU and it is Ruby Red. I was surprised ruby red was so orange. The stamp behind the ribbon is from a set called Boutique Borders from CTMH that I stamped with Memento Cocoa ink .
So what do you think?

High Hopes Halloween Card

Gary went fishing today so I went to my craft room. I really need to unwind. It was a long four days of school. The week didn't end so well. It was hot and the children were worn out. Then I was in my classroom until 6:00p.m. looking for my keys. I had my car key but I need my school keys and I never did find them. So I had to call the principle. I sure hope they show up on Monday morning. Maybe it was a sign that I shouldn't go to school this weekend. I brought a bunch of work home with me and I'll get to that after I finish this.
I made this card for High Hopes Challenge which was a Halloween card. This was last Sundays challenge. I am not sure I will get it in on time but that's OK I had fun making it.
The stamp is from High Hopes. The ant has a plant in his hands on the stamp but I just changed it to the pumpkin by masking out the plant and masking in the pumpkin. The card is pumpkin pie from SU and the stamp on the side is from a set by CTMH. I just picked it on Thursday night. It is a neat set with different boarders. I colored the ant with Copic markers. The Trick or Treat is from Mouse House & Friends.
Well this is number two of the five project I completed today. Thanks for stopping and let me know what you think.

Scrapbook Challenge 29

While I was at school last Saturday Gary was up at the cabin with his sons and this is what he caught. It is a 41 in. musky. The fish got a good bite out of Gray's thumb while they were getting him in the boat. He was fishing for walleye with minnows and this guy got caught on the lip. I guess fish have lips. Gary's thumb is getting better. He didn't need get stitches. He was happy to have a picture.
I love Theresa's Happer Camper stamp set. If you look close I stamped the white paper with the little fish. I stamped once on other paper than on the journal and quote paper.
Background Paper CTMH called Back Country
Green Paper is Pure Luxury Apple Green and Pumpkin Spice
Stamps Theresa Momber Happy Camper
Ink Memento Bamboo Leaves and Desert Sand
SU punches

Wild Card Cricut Cartridge

This is the third thing I accomplished on Sunday.
I was watching the videos over at the Pink Stamper to learn how to use some of my Cricut cartridges. I made this card with the Wild Card Cartridge. I used the colors from last weeks Color Throwdown; Regal Rose, Always Artichoke, and Chocolate Chip. The leaves are from a stamp set by Gina K called Signs of Autumn. The sentiment is from a stamp set called Elegant Post by Nina Brackett. I used my Cuttle bug to emboss the center of the flower. The Potluck Friday challenge at Stamp TV was called Outside the Lines that is how I came up with the stem for the flower.
I need to spend more time making cards with my Cricut it is so much fun to use.
Thanks for stopping. Please leave a comment and let me know you were here.

I Am Back!

Hi everyone, Boy has this been an exhausting week. Every year I forget how seven year old children drain you of your energy. Next year I am going to the Mall of America to acclimate myself to all the movement and noise before the first week of school.
I spent 8 hours in my classroom yesterday getting ready for next week. Today I played in my scrape room. I feel so renewed. I made this card for Color Throwdown, Unscripted Sketches 22, ABC Challenge, and Pile it On. I can't do a card everyday now so when I do one I have to make it count.
The colors are SU Regal Rose, Always Artichoke, and Chocolate Chip. The DP and stamp are from SU. The image is mounted on Chocolate Chip that was cut out with Shapeabilities Fancy Tags. I just got it in the mail from Stamp TV. I LOVE it. The sentiment is a stamp from CTMH called For Every Occasion. The ABC challenge is C for circle. I think dots are circles. The designer paper also has circles on it. Pile it On's challenge this week is to make a birthday card.
I made another card and a scrapbook page that I will post later this week.
I sure miss being here everyday. Thanks for stopping and leave me a comment to let me know you were here and what you think about the card.

Only One Challenge

I used the sketch from Unscripted Sketch challenge 21. The colors are from Color Challenge #2 at Squigglefly. When I got the colors I didn't realize that I needed to use a Squigglefly image. I have some because I got one a day for the month of May. Oh well this will only work for one challenge. This card was fun to make. I love the image. It is from Mouse House & Friends. I got it a few months ago at Hobby Lobby. The original price was $19.99. Hobby Lobby's price was $16.99. I found it in a clearance bin marked $6.47. Maybe that is why I like it so much. No, I really do love the little mouse.
I used Kraft, Pumpkin Pie, Rich Razzleberry card stock. I stamped the image with Memento Rich Cocoa and colored the pumpkin images with Copic markers YR09, YR04, YR16. For the mouse I used R11, W2, R00. The Boo and little foot prints were stamped with CTMH Vineyard Berry ink. I added a little Stardust glittering gel ink to give it a little sparkle.
The inside is a stamp from the same set. I guess you can tell that. I used oval Nestabilities and layered that over Shapeabilities Double Ended tags. The brads are from SU.
What do you think?
Thanks for stopping. Please leave a comment so I know your were here.
