Color Challenge 27

I was busy today. I made three cards and a scrapbook page. I am going to post them one at a time this week.
This is for Stamp TV's color challenge which ends tomorrow. The colors are orange, gray and white/ivory.
I used Pure Luxury Pumpkin Spice and Ivory card stock by Gina K . I embossed the Pumpkin Spice card stock with Memento London Fog in a Cuttlebug folder. The stamp is from the new set by Theresa Momber call Autumn Beauty. The sunflower and pumpkins were stamped, colored and cut out. I colored the images with Copic markers YR16, YR09,YR04,W6, W4. The gray ribbon is from Cloud 9. I like these colors. Let me know what you think.

Stamp TV Technique Challenge 27

Last night was the premiere of the new stamps at Stamp TV. I didn’t get home from school until after 8:00PM, and by the time I got to the premiere it was over. I did see some fantastic new stamps and ideas. I woke up at 5:00AM because I have been doing that all week and decided to make a trip to Gina K’s store. The store opens at 9:00. So before I went I made this shaker card for Stamp TV technique challenge. This is another fun technique to try. When you shake the card the stuff at the bottom moves. It is like the petals are being blown by the wind. Very Cool!
I got to the store around 10:00 and I was so surprised to see and meet Gina K. She is the sweetest person and very helpful. The thing that surprised me the most is how tiny she is. Even this picture doesn’t show how really tiny she is. I am only 5’3" and I look tall next to her. That is me in the middle. Gina and Shelly were so nice. The store isn’t very big but it is well worth the drive.
Now about the cards.
Stamps: Many Wishes by Gina K and Say It With Flowers by Melanie Muenchinger
Card stock: Pure Luxury Ivory and Green Apple
Ink: Memento Rich Cocoa and Bamboo Leaves
DP is paper designed by Gina K and it came in the TV kit. I ran out of it and I can’t get more so for the second card I used Basic Gray Lemonade Honey Bee
The stuff that shakes is called Flower Soft
Thanks for stopping. Let me know what you think.

A Great Weekend Crafting

I made three cards and a scrapbook page this past weekend. I really had fun. I am posting them one at a time. I wish I knew how to change the date or schedule them to post one day at a time. If anyone know how to do that please let me know. Plus I learned how to sign my name to my pictures. I think that is so cool. I hope I remember how for the next picture.
This card is for four challenges: Stamp TV Pot Luck Friday, Stamp TV Technique challenge, Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge 32, SNR Card Universe MPS Prize Challenge.
The sweet shop was a free digital stamp from Modern Sugar Blvd. and Card Scents. The donuts are a set by Rupa Shevde's at Stamp TV. I used Copic markers and AT You Spica glitter pens to color. The little flowers have Flower Soft on them. That is really cool stuff. The ribbon is from SU and I am not sure where the buttons are from. I didn't keep the container. I think that is everything. If you have any questions just ask.
Thanks for stopping. Let me know you were here.

Scrapbook Challenge

This is my scrapbook page for this weeks challenge at Stamp TV. I used a stamp from the new Stamp TV kit called Thanks A Million on the journal sheet. It says "I am thankful for all the memories we share." The ladies in the picture are one of the reasons I love my job. We have a lot of fun. We laugh so much at lunch I don't know how any of us gain weight. We all went to the Melting Pot for dinner on Girls Night Out. My best friend, the third person in, owns the one in Madison. I am the one in the middle. The menu for Girls night out is chocolate and cheese. Could it get any better than that?
I used my Cricut for the apples, backpack and lunch bag on the page. I wanted food and a lunch theme. They are for the cartridge called Doodlecharms . I am so glad that Stamp TV has scrapbook challenges. Now I am getting one page a week completed and that is a good thing.
Thanks for stopping,

Stamp TV Collor Challenge 26

This card if for the color challenge at Stamp TV. The colors are green, black and white.
I spent a lot of time on this card and I am happy with how it turned out except for the one oops on the ... well I'll see if you can see it. I used Inspiration Mosaic stamp by Melanie Muenchinger, and Tropical Windows the free for three set. The base card is Gina K Green Apple from the Stamp TV Kit Signs of Autumn. I used a couple of my Quickutz dies for the butterfly, leaves and black accent. I don't use my Quickutz as much as I should. The really add a lot.
So what do you think of this card?
Thanks for stopping,

Four Challenges in one

Boy it sure feels good to have a card to post. I am going to have to find time to craft now that school is starting. I leave for school at 6:45 AM and I get home at 5:45 PM. By the time I get dinner cleaned up I am ready for bed. So I hope if you are a follower that you don't give up on me. Please keep stopping by to let me know how I am doing. I get a lot of encouragement from your kind words.
This card went together pretty quick. It helps when you have a sketch and the colors to follow the rest is pretty easy. The colors are dusty durango, bermuda bay, and soft suede. The DP paper is from Making Memories called Just Chillin. I used desert sand and rich cocoa Memento ink to stamp the sentiment which is from a CTMH set.
The color are for Color Throw Down and Stef Hughes color challenge #1. Stef is a lot of fun. If you haven't been to her blog check it out. The sketch I followed is for Mojo Monday. The challenge for Pile It On is a card for a boy. This might be a stretch but I would send it to my sons even with the butterfly and flower. They apperciate nature! The colors make it a boy card. What do you think? Would you send it to a guy?

Potluck Friday 26 and Stamp TV Sketch Challenge 25

I really liked the technique this week at Stamp TV so I used it to made another card. I follows the Potluck Friday Challenge and the Sketch Challenge at Stamp TV to make this card. Potluck Friday was a recipe to follow called: One-Two-Three-Four Recipe:1 or more designer paper, 2 or more different types of bling, 3 or more pastel colors, 4 or more layers.
The base is yellow card stock. The part that looks like designer paper is this weeks technique. I used three different Memento Dew Drop inks, Lilac Posies, Angel Pink, and Summer Sky to ink the embossing folder called Perfectly Paisley. It really looks so much better in real light. The stamp set is 100% Sweet by Rupa Shevde. I colored it with Copic markers and added Stickles for sprinkles on the donuts. The sentiment says, "Go ahead you deserve it." I love that. The ribbon is lilac with white dots. The boarder punch is from Fiskers.
This really is a pretty card in person, but most of all I had fun making it. Let me know what you think.

Getting Ready for School

I started calling parents today to set up a visit. I try to meet each students before school starts. Wednesday I will be setting up my classroom and visiting students.
I made these pencil holders for the students to use. One classroom job is to sharpen pencils. This is done one time a day if needed which cuts down on the noise and lots of running to the pencil sharpener. When a child takes a sharp pencil from the green box, they put their broken pencil in the red box.
The August 3D challenge at Stamp TV is to make a pencil cup. I am going to enter these in that challenge. You should take a look at the cool cups people have been making. Take a look here.
The background paper is digital paper from Stamp TV. The red star paper is a free download. The green bug paper is a file you can buy and download. The great part about digi paper is that you can print as many as you want. You can also add text. The green one says, "Sharp Pencils" and the red one says, "Not Sharp Pencils." The stamp set is Bug Me Anytime by Nina Brackett at Stamp TV. I colored the bugs with Copic markers. These were fun to make and went together quickly after I figured out what I wanted.
Enjoy

Stamp TV Technique Challenge 26

If you haven't been to Stamp TV you are missing some great techniques. I made this card with the newest technique that Gina K demonstrated. I started with orange card stock that came in the newest Stamp TV Showtime kit. Then I inked my Cuttlebug folder called Moroccan Screen with London Fog Memento ink. Next I put the card stock in the folder and ran it through the Cuttlebug. That is how the background was created. The flower, pumpkins, and sentiment are all from the Showtime kit called Signs of Autumn and Thanks a Million. I colored the images with Copic markers. I used SU punches to punch out the sentiment. The brown ribbon is something I had. I finished the card by stamping a sentiment on the inside.
This was another great technique that is fun to do.
Thanks for stopping and let me know what you think.

Stamp TV Scrapbook Challenge 25

We came home from the cottage yesterday just in time to miss the rain and cold weather. The weather couldn't have been better.
Last night I planned out this scrapbook page for Stamp TV's scrapbook challenge. I love their layouts. I just finished it and am really happy with the way it turn out. Thank goodness for Stamp TV's challenges. I am getting scrapbook pages completed. The background paper is from 7gypsies called Sheena. I love the colors. The fish stamp is from a Gina K's Eclectic Summer stamp set and I stamped it on her Pure Luxury Soft Sand. I colored them with Copic markers to match the background paper. The fish blended in too good so I backed them with black paper. The Gone Fishing sign is a stamp by Theresa Momber called Happy Camper and the green paper is Pure Luxury Green Apple. Both are from Stamp TV. I cut the letters with my Cricut using the Plantin Schoolbook cartridge. The fishing pole is from JRL Design Co. I bought that stamp when I first met Gary in 2004. I added a little string and a piece of yard to the fishing pole. Can you see the fish swimming past the little fly?
Thank you for stopping. If you have time let me know what you think.

From the North Woods

Hi,
No cards to post today. Just a pretty water flower picture I took from my kayak. I have been spending a lot of time on the water. The only trouble is I am getting very tan... on one side.
I am also trying to add a signature to my post. Caryl at Stamps and Stitches sent me the direction so I thought I would try.
Enjoy,

Three Challenges in One

A quick post. Well it has taken me two days. I made this card while my DH was fishing last night. I don't like to fish at night because of the bugs and bats. It is for his uncle who is in the hospital. It works for three challenges.
Pile it on: No Pattern Paper
Stamp TV color challenge 25: brown, cream and red
Unscripted Sketches 18: the sketch

The stamps I used were all from Stamp TV sets. The flower was from a set called A Year of Flowers by Melanie Muenchinger. The inside sentiment is from Say it with Flowers also by Melanie. The background stamp was from the new Showtime Kit called Sign of Autumn by Gina K. The “Thinking of You” sentiment was from a set by Nina Brackett called Elegant Post. The ribbon was from the Showtime Kit Signs of Autumn. I stamped the background with Memento Desert Sand ink. The sentiments and sunflower were stamped with Memento Rich Cocoa ink. I colored the image with Copic markers R 35, R29, RV 29 and E 29. I used BG Cool Shadow to outline the flower. A red sunflower seems like a stretch but I know I have seen some in seed catalogs.
I only brought one page of craft supplies. It is kinda fun making a card in the little cabin up here in the North woods. There were a few supplies I wish I brought but I had to be more creative with less. Let me know what you think. Thanks for stoping.

Three Challenges

This card is for three challenges.
Stamp TV Sketch challenge 24
Our Creative Corner Purple
Pile it on three flowers - I hope rhinestone flowers count.
I used my new Stamp TV kit, ‘Signs of Autumn’ and ‘Thanks A Million,’ to make this card. Everything came from the kit except the rhinestone flowers and the dark purple paper. The base is pure luxury ivory. I colored the cup with Copic markers V17 and V15. The coffee was colored using E11 and E33. I cut the image out using my Nestabilities. Then I highlighted the image with Memento Desert Sand. I embossed the dark purple with a Cuttlebug embossing folder. The label at the bottom was cut with my Cricut. I split the ribbon to make it thinner. Take a look at Jessica Kick’s sample. Isn’t it beautiful? I used three rhinestone flowers instead of a button. I definitely like Jessica’s better. She is a very gifted person.

Stamp TV Technique Challenge 25 and Paper Take

The technique on Stamp TV this week is called ‘Watercolor Spritz.’ You use markers to color your stamp. Next you spritz it with water then stamp. You can watch Gina K and learn how to do it at Stamp TV.
The stamps I used are from the new Stamp TV kit called Signs of Autumn and Thanks A Million. Everything except the base card are from this kit. The base card is Gina K pure luxury soft sand. I used the watercolor spritz technique to stamp the rooster. I embossed the brown paper behind him with a cuttle bug embossing folder. I have been watching the videos at the Pink Stamper and learned how to use the centering button on my Cricut. I used that to cut the oval around the rooster. Then I just increased the oval size by 1/4 inch to make the yellow and brown oval. I sponged Memento Desert Sand ink around the rooster. The thank you was punched using two SU punches. I love the little brass brads that came in the kit. I think they look great. I am not so sure about the rooster. I stamped two. The colors on one were light and the other was very dark. This is the light one. I like the way the colors melt together when you use this technique.
This card is for two challenges Stamp TV Technique Challenge 25 and Paper Take Weekly - Four Season - I think this looks like fall.
Let me know what you think. Thanks for stopping and please leave a comment if you have time.

A Birthday Card

I have been looking at a lot of TRI Shutter fold cards on the web. They are so interesting looking, I just had to try one. The tutorial for the one I did is here. Monday is my sisters birthday so I made this card for her. The card took some time and concentration. I had to do some careful measuring to do the base card and the DP paper. Then I had to decide how I wanted to decorate it. I pulled out a CTMH butterfly stamp set and went from there. The card on the tutorial had a butterfly so I thought that was a good place to start. It was fun and I know I will do better on the next one. If you have any suggestions please let me know. Thanks for stopping.

Stamp TV Scrapbook Challenge 23

Each year I try to make a scrapbook of my class. This page is the last day of school June 10, 2009. We were celebrating all the books read by the children. I send 5 books home every day. The children can also read anything they have at home. This class recorded reading over 10,000 books. One student read 2,000. He is reading at a third grad level at the end of first grade. Reading every day really makes a difference.
I used a lot of stamp sets for this page. They all are from Gina K designs.
The quilt that I stamped and paper pieced is a brand new one called ‘Inspiration Mosaic’ by by Melanie Muenchinger. It made me think of books all piled on my table for the children to take home. It is a great stamp set.
The background and the bugs are from ‘Bug Me Anytime’ by Nina Brackett. I stamped it with Memento Summer Sky. I think the background stamp looks like fireworks.
The little stamps are from Happy Camper by Theresa Momber, and 100% Sweet by Rupa Shevde. I colored some of those images with Copic markers.
Thanks to Stamp TV I am working on scrapbook pages. The sketch is by Erika Martin. It was a fun sketch to follow.
Let me know what you think. Thanks for stopping.

Flutter by Wednesday

Here is my card for Danni's Dreams Flutter by Wednesday. The challenge was not to use DP so I created a sky with a technique that I learned on Stamp TV and to use a butterfly or fairy. Well I finally got a fairy stamp. I got it in the dollar bin at Micheals. I thought it was so cute. The flowers are a Stamp TV set by Gina K called Friendship Blooms. I colored them with Copic markers. The fairies are embossed with black embossing powder. My sister's birthday is next week and I am thinking about making her note cards. This may be one of them.

STVCC23

This is a very quick card and post. I make this for Stamp TV color challenge 23. The challenge is to use green and pink and it ends at 8:00 in the morning so I need to get this posted.
The stamp is a new set from Gina K called Tropical Windows. It is the free stamp you get when you buy three stamps. I am going to get a lot of use out of this set. It is great for clean and simple cards. I like making that type of card best. The base card is from A Muse. The ribbon is from SU. To stamp the image I ues Angel Pink ink on the flower and colored the rest with Copic markers. I had to spray the card with the colorless Copic for the stamp to work. The pink doesn't show up in the picture very good but it looks great on the card. I love this flower. The gem flowers are by Kaiser. The "Hello friend" is from the same stamp set. I stamped it with Bamboo Leaves.
Thanks for stopping. I hope you had a great weekend.
