My Scrap Room Challenge #26

Gina has a fun challenge over at My Scrap Room.
Here is the sketch.
And here are the added requirements.

  • Banner must be made from fabric
  • Use brads as indicated
  • No Flowers
  • Use Patterned Paper somewhere on the card

You don't know how many times I reached for a flower when making this card.
I cut the banner from some left over fabric. The brads are next to the sentiment. The patterned paper is from my scraps. I added some stickers to banner and some cord to the top.

Gina is so sweet and has some fun challenges and swaps over at My Scrap Room. Check it out.

Your Paper Pantry

Hi Everyone I am hosting the ticket swap over at Your Paper Pantry.  It is a great sight with lots of very talented and fun people.
The ticket swap is a lot of fun. If you have the Tim Holtz ticket die this would be great for you. If you don't have the die you can make your own tickets easily.  Just cut strips 1.25" and score every 2 inches. Then use a corner punch or a small circle punch in the corners to create the tickets.

Here is a picture of my tickets.

Here is a video telling how I made my tickets.

These are so much fun.  Once you start you just want to keep making more.

Stop over at YPP and check out all the fun swaps.

Loons

A couple of you asked what loons are so I decide to share them with you.

This is a spot on the lake were they might nest.

This is a picture of three adults.

I took all the pictures and video from my kayak so they may not be the best.

This is a mother and her baby.

You can hear the beautiful sound they make if you watch the short video I made. I filmed it while in my kayak this morning.

A First

Hi Everyone, I made my first Iris Fold card today. I have been watching Marianne from Poketfull of Vintage and Linda from The Paper Boutique on You Tube to learned how to do these fun cards.

Here is what I created.
I used some CTMH scrapbook paper and a flower shape die cut to cut the flower shape.

OK this is really addicting. I have a stack of paper cut and folded and ready to go. The paper I am using is some CTMH paper that I have had for a long time. It may be a little heavy for this but it is something I want to use up.  This one has 6 different paper. That may have been a little much for the first time but it really isn't hard and the result is wonderful.
I hope you will check out Marianne and Linda's You Tube videos. They are very helpful.

Have a wonderful weekend!

Here is a card I made for my in-law and great aunt.
