Scrapmaster Color Combo #76

Happy Monday, I hope you all had a wonderful weekend.
It is time for Scrapmaster's Paridise Color Challenge #76.
Here are the colors.
I have to tell you I had trouble with these colors. I love them but I just had a hard time coming up with a great idea. It might be that I am so tired from all the visiting, shopping, cooking and cleaning.
Anyway I came up with two different cards. The first one is an easel card with a Post-it note pad.
Here is what it looks like open.
I though it would be a card that could sit on a desk and be used to remind the recipient to have a Happy Holiday as they are making all those list and checking them twice. The image is from my new Hoot and Holler cartridge.
The Sentiment is from SP & Company called Christmas Emma. Since I had that set out I wanted to try another card with these color. I used a technique I really like called Spotlight.
I am not to happy with either card. I just couldn't get the colors to pop. I am hoping to get some ideas from you.  I sure hope you will join us this week at SPCC. Samantha always gives a great prize to the winner. So head on over and like up your card.

Guest Designer

I am so excited to be the Guest Designer at SP and Company this week.  I love Samantha’s new stamps. They are made with high quality clear photopolymer which gives a nice clean impression.
I used Christmas Emma and one of my favorite folds called “Step Card” for this card.

You can find the directions here for the fold.

You can read all about my card here.

The Winner!

Hi Everyone,
I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving. I sure did. Both my sons made it home. I cooked a dinner for them on Thursday and then  another Thanksgiving dinner on Friday for my in-laws. We took it to them. They just were not up to doing it on Thursday.
I also went to Walmart for the deal on the Cricut Lite Cartridges. I didn't know it wasn't all the cartridges. So I had Hoot and Holler and Live Simply in my cart at 11:45 when I saw the display which was empty already 15 min before it was suppose to be opened. I though what do I have to loose. I stood in the long line and the very wonderful checker, who happened to be a manager let me have my two for the $20. Wasn't that nice? I really feel like I like Walmart now. I sometime have a love/hate relationship with WM. They have been very good about working with me. I know I was lucky to get the manager and a wonderful deal.
Now for the winner. Sorry for taking so long. I put all 102 names in a bowl and I had my husband pick the winner.

AND...The winner is Annel

Kincking off Christmas Blog Hop

Hi Everyone and welcome to Kickin' off Christmas Blog Hop.
If you arrived here from Susan's blog you are on the right track. I hope you are enjoying all the wonderful creations along the way and that you are remembering to leave comments so that you can win one of the wonderful prizes.  Be sure to hop to the end because our caboose, Samantha, has a great give away. AND for each comment you leave, you have a better chance of winning a Custom Crops $25 gift card. Isn't that wonderful.
For my project I made a gift bag and filled it with puppy chow.
I love puppy chow and when I saw Christmas Emma by Samantha at SP & Company I knew I would be using her on some Christmas gifts. I made up a big batch today and set to work making a gift bag to fill.
So now I guess you would like to see the gift page.
This is the front with a gift tag/card and Emma peeking out.
This is the back with the recipe and another cute Emma.
The ornament on the front opens like a card so you can see all of Emma and write a message.
This gift bag is going in the mail box for the mail person. I  like to leave a little something at Christmas just to let them know I appreciate all that they do.
Now for the prize. Samantha from SP & Company has given me this gorgeous stamp set called Ornamental Trees to give away to one lucky winner. You can check out some of the beautiful cards that have been made with this set here.

In order to be eligible for the prize all you have to do is become a follower, if you are not already, and leave a comment. That's all!

Stamp Scrap and Doodle Satuday on Monday

Hi Folks, We were having some technical difficulty last week at SSDS so our challenges are a little off. The challenge from the 13th ended today and the one for the 20th starts today and runs until Dec. 4th.
Our wonderful sponsor this week is Hambo Stamps and you could win a $10 digi shopping spree.
This week we have a sketch challenge for you from our very own Dee. I love this sketch.
Saturday I went to a big stamp and scrape show with 25 yr old son. It was so much fun. He carried all my big boxes. LOL One of the things I bought was Spellbinders Heritage Ornament dies. I just had to try them out right away.
The image is a darling one from Hambo Stamps. I had to make it small to fit in the die but that is the wonderful thing about digi stamps. You can make them the size you need. The sentiment is from SP and Company. The paper is DCWV Ultimate Christmas pack. I ran the bigger ornament through the CB with the snowflakes EF. I edge both with a gold leaf pen. I used Copic markers to color the image.

I know it is a busy week but if you get a chance to play you have a chance to win a great prize.

I am looking forward to seeing what you do with Dee's wonderful sketch.

Be sure to stop back Tuesday morning at 8AM EST for a fun blog hop with lots (really LOTS) of prizes.

Throwback Thursday Challenge with Emma

Emma's Throwback Thursday challenge this week is to make a thank you card the old school way. No cricut, no Gypsy.
This set from SU called Day of Gratitude is definitely a fall set, but when I get a stamp set I always try to look for more way to use it. I want to see if it would work for an angle card.

Isn't she cute? I need to get the lighting right in my light box. The picture doesn't show how she sparkles. I used white embossing powder to do her dress and silver to do her wings. Her halo is covered in Stickles. The face is from the Peachy Keen stamp set called Winter Faces Assortment that I won from one of Emma's giveaways. I just LOVE this set. To makes this card really "Old School" I used stickers for the (U R An) that I got about 7 years ago at a Creative Memory party. Her hair is some fuzzy fibers. The words "Thank You" are stamped down at the bottom right with white ink. You can't see them but they are there.
This card is going to my in-laws' neighbor.  She has be so good to them, checking on them and bringing them meals.  I wanted to make her a special thank you card.

Here is another project I did with this set. I got the idea from LeAnne here. I just started them because I only had two mint patties. I have to get more peppermint patties and add the Happy Thanksgiving but I wanted to show you before Thursday. Yikes, is it only thee days away.

This is the stuff I love to make. Thanks for the great idea LeAnne!
Well I better run I have two Thanksgiving dinners to plan and make.

Be sure to stop by Tuesday for

Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge

I know it is Thursday but I did this card on Monday so it really isn't that late. I love Karen's sketches and I don't use them enough. For this weeks Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge I wanted to use one of the new images from by LORi Designs called Baby Jussie.

Isn't he the sweetest? I just love Lori's digi images. I match him up with one of SP and Company sentiment. It is from a set called Ultimate Sentiments 1.
I hope you enjoy my cards.

Amber's Challenge

Amber at Staying Crafty is having a challenge. Her challenge is to  create a beautiful gift package for the holidays.  She is giving away Winter Lace Cricut Cartridge as a prize to one lucky winner.
This really wasn't to hard. I used some beautiful paper,  Tags, Bags Boxes and Mores cartridge, a little stickles, a Nestablity die and a great stamp.  The stamp is from the Christmas Emma set by Samantha at SP and Company.
This is the results.
This little box will be used for a necklace for one of my friends Christmas gift.  It would also make a great ornament for a tree. I sure hope I win Amber's prize.

Scrapmaster's Paradise Stamps

I am so excited! I have been on Scrapmaster's Pardise Color Challenge Design Team for a while now. About a month ago Samantha asked me if I would like to be on her design team for her new stamp company. I was so excited.
Then about a week ago four wonderful SP stamp sets showed up in my mail box. I can't tell you how awesome these stamps are. The stamp sets are made of high quality clear photopolymer. They stamp so nice and clean. I love being able to see just were I am stamping.
OK now here is the card...

This is my favorite card every. This is from a set called "Christmas Emma." I stamped Emma and colored her with Copic markers then I made her into a shaker card by filling a pocket I made with Polar Ice Flower Soft. I used my nestiblility and recycled a clear Cricut box to create the pocket. I thought the sentiment went perfect with the image. The set comes with four perfect sentiments and three great images. You will be seeing more cards made by me with this set. I just love it.
Did you remember the candy canes from yesterday's card? They came from this set.
Be sure to check out what the other DT's did with their sets.
I know I will be making more card with this set.

This card also work for:
Secret Crafter - sparkle and shine
Mark's Finest Papers - snowflakes
Crazy 4 Challenges - Christmas card
ABC Challenge -H is for holiday
Stamping Vacation - Winter wonderland

My Creative Time Throwback Thursday

This should be a quick post. I really wanted to get this posted for Emma's Throwback Thursday challenge. The challenge is a food theme and to use the cartridge From My Kitchen Cricut cartridge. Last Thursday I picked up half of a lamb I ordered. I need to get some recipes for cooking lamb. This is the first time I have every had lamb to cook. When I was little my grandmother made it for me and I loved it. I order lamb chops when I go out to eat if it is on the menu. I am pretty excited about having my own to cook.
Sooooo I decided to make a Lamb Recipe book.
Right now I just have page protectors and tab pages inside. I used my Cinch by We R Memory Keepers to bind it all. The protector sheets are from CTMH. The part that is sticking out is the open part so I can slide in the recipes as I find them. The cover and last page are sealed with the open edge is in the binding.

I used From My Kitchen cartridge for all the cuts. I love the tabs. Now I am off to find Lamb Recipes for my book. If you have one I would love to try it.
