Maggie by Hannah Boyd

Hi Everyone,
You all know about the talents of Lori Boyd. Well her daughter Hannah is also a gifted artist. Her digi stamps are called Bug & Roo and are sold here.  The stamp I used is called Maggie. I just love her.
She is so much fun to color. I used scraps for the card and I colored her with copic markers.  I can use this card for a thank you, happy birthday, or just to say hello.

I spent Thursday making cards. Some I have to wait to show you but this one just couldn't wait.

SP and Company Stamp

Hi, Today for my SP & Company project I made a money card holder for my stepsons birthday gift. His birthday was Christmas eve but we didn't get to see him until the 26th.
This was a very quick project and I love the way it turned out. I use one sheet of SU Garden Green card stock, one scrap of designer card stock that I punched with a MS punch. Then I used two SP & Company Stamp sets. I stamped the scallop frame and the sentiment in SU Garden Green.
Here are the two SP & Company stamps I used.
Scallops and Lines
And
Ultimate Sentiments I

I stamped the inside with lines to write a special birthday wish.
Sorry the picture isn't the best but you can see the lines. This is a stamp set you can use for many things. When I get my pictures out and do some long over due scrapbook pages this stamp will be so useful for the journal entry.

That's all for now.

BY LORi Designs Happy New Year and DT call

Today I have a fun card I made with By LORi's Baby Jussie. I want to make a Happy New Year card. When I think of New Years I think of babies and Lori draws the best babies.

The challenges will be Bi-weekly through out January and then once she has her Challenge Team they will go weekly. Head over and read all about it here.

For my card I used paper from my scrap file. The sentiment is from SU Teeny Tiny Wishes. The adorable image is Baby Jussie from By LORi Designs which I colored with copic markers. I used Mojo Monday's sketch.

Homemade Christmas Wrap

This week for my SP & Company project I want to use every one of the stamps in the Cutest Gingerbread Man set so I made wrapping paper. It was so much fun using all the faces and sentiments in the set.
I recycled the brown paper that came in a box. First I needed to ironed the paper. Then I stamped and colored all the cute gingerbread men. I used a red, green, yellow and a white pen to color them. Next I stamped all the sentiment in red and green. It feels so good being able to say that I used every stamp in this set.  I wish I could say that about all my stamp sets.
There are 8 faces and 6 sentiments in this set.
Here is the gift all wrapped up. I used some ribbon I picked up from Micheal's and I made a tag with one gingerbread man. I used my favorite face. The white is Liquid Applique. I love the way it puffs up when you heat it up. The buttons and face are colored with gel pens. This picture isn't nearly as cute as it really is. You will have to use your imagination.
This was a fun project and it felt good to recycle and use what I have. This gift is for my hubby.  I can't tell you what it is. He might be reading my blog. LOL But I can tell you he has been a very good boy and this is a very special gift.

Scrapmaster Color Combo Challenge #79

Hi Everyone, Happy short work week. I hope you all are looking forward to a short work week. I am hoping I don't get called in to sub.
This week Samantha picked some interesting colors for our challenge. Here are the colors.

I really thought a lot about what I wanted to do with these colors. I discussed my ideas with my husband and he made a suggestion. Here is how his ideas turn out. I couldn't get him to make it.
I loved his idea to make a yellow bird like a finch. I used the Tim Holtz wood grain EF and SU bird punches. The sentiment is from SP and Company

This was my idea.
I was thinking robin and sun beams since the days are going to start getting longer on Wednesday. I love Samantha's sentiment, "Cheer Up Buttercup." It is from her set called, Ultimate Sentiments I Stamp Set. This set is one of those go to, must has sets.

My hubby will be taking "his" card to his mother tomorrow. She is doing much better but the pain in her back isn't getting better. She needs to get up and walk but it hurts. They won't let her out of the nursing home until she can get up by herself. This is going to take some time. She is 90 and you just don't do anything too fast at 90.

Today I showed you two cards, same theme and colors, but very different. I really like the way both cards turned out. I hope you will join us at SPCC this week. Be sure to check in here to see what the other DT's have done and the prize you could win.

Cute Gingerbread Man Topper

I don't know about you but I am way to busy to spend time on the computer. I just wanted to show you this cute bag topper I made for a gingerbread men cookie.  I used The Cutest Gingerbread Man set from SP & Company to make the topper for the bag.
I have been working on these cookies for days. They take a lot of time to get them mixed, chilled, cut out, cooked and decorated. I made 5 dozen. Four dozen are for a cookie exchanged I am going to attend.
Today we may be putting my mother in law in a nursing home for two weeks.  She is doing much better but she is not ready to go home. Thank you for keeping her in your prayers. It has been helping.
Be sure to stop by SP & Company. Samantha has a lot of exciting news.

Gift Bag

I made another gift bag with my Peachy Keen Stamps. This is one of those ideas that comes into your head and it won't go away until you do something with it.
The tree was cut with Create a Critter. I stamped the face right on the bag and attached the tree over it. The PK set is called Everyday Character Faces PK-490. The lights are something I have had in my craft stuff for a long time. The little bird is a PK stamp called Winter is for the Birds. PK-M11.  The holly stamp is a SU stamp. I think it is so much fun dressing up these free bags I get from my coffee store. I love that they don't have anything printed on them.  I keep thinking of things I need just for the bags. LOL

Have a great Tuesday!

Scrapmaster Paradise Color Combo #78

Happy Cold and Windy Monday Everyone,
We had some weekend here in Wisconsin. Saturday started with 38 degrees and rain. It ended with a ton of snow and 30 mile an hour winds bringing temps in the single digits.
Here is my poor hubby with the snow blower Sunday afternoon.
It is hard to say how much we got because of the drifts. You can see here the snow is up to his knee.
This has not been a good weekend besides the weather my mother in law fell and is in the hospital. She is 90 and did not break anything but her salt sodium levels were low so they wanted to keep her. She complained that her back hurt so they put her on pain meds. When we called this morning we were told they gave her too much and she was sleeping it off. Well not in those words. It is so hard because we couldn't get out. The roads are very bad and the hospital is over an hour away. Please keep her in your prayers.

Now on to the color challenge. This week the colors are:

Just look at this great prize you could win.

This week, the prize is from the SP and Company store.  Samantha is giving away a 6X6 sampler of the brand new Be Mine collection from Echo Park. This collection is available for pre-order already in the store, but it is shipping starting this week!! The winner this week will be one of the FIRST to get their hands on this gorgeous collection. Here is a look at the full collection:

I love these colors and this card was very easy to make. The image is SP & Company Cutest Gingerbread Man and Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge #96

I used SU glitter brads and some stickles. The eyes are brads with viva decore dots. The sentiment is from the same SP & Company stamp set.
I hope you will join us this week. I look forward to seeing how you use these colors.
Have a great Monday!

Stamp Scrap Doodle Saturday

Hoo-ray it is Saturday, and that means it is time for another Stamp, Scrap and Doodle Challenge. Our challenge this week is monochromatic and use your favorite color.  Using one color is kinda ticky and I think you have to use a white, black or something to help. My favorite color is red and I love SU Cherry Cobbler. It is a nice dark rich red. I also love cardnials. Now you know two of my favorite things.
I made some small 3 by 3 thank you cards. I think they will be great to stick in with a thank you gift.

The base card is a 6 X 3 piece of Cherry Cobbler with a 2.75 X 2.75 square of SU DP called Deck the Halls. The cardnial was made with the SU bird punch. I used Soft Sede to ink the edges and a black copic marker to draw the face. The eye is a black rhinestone from Kaiser Craft. I punched three wings. One is used to creates the crown on his head. I can't take credit for this bird. I have see it all over the web. There are so many birds you can make with this punch. It really is a fun punch to have.
The sentiment is from SP & Company. It fits perfect in the second smallest die from the Lables Four set of Nestabilities. I am very happy with these little cards. It always help to create using the things we love.

Please join us at SSDS this week.  I look forward to seeing your favorite color and what you create.

Have a wonderful Saturday and thanks for stopping,

A Peachy Keen Challenge

Hi Everyone, Happy Friday! We are going to get another snowstorm tomorrow so I better get my running around done today. Then I can stay in and craft all day tomorrow.
I have a cute card for you today. I made this for my son. One of his room mates has cats. She lover her cats but my son and the other room mate give her a hard time about them all the time.  I don't know why she puts up with them.
I made this for the Peachy Keen Challenge to use embossing and one of their faces. This is another face from the cat set. I picked the eyes that looked like he wasn't so happy about that bird on his head. This cat is from the Lite Cricut cartridge Meow. Inside I stamped Have a Purr-fect Christmas. But wait it gets better.
I used another Wobble. I just love these things.
Okay, I really think this is the cutest card I ever made.  That face is perfect for a cat with a bird on his head and a big bow under his chin. I don't know how Peachy Keen does it but they sure know how to do faces.
What do you think? I would love to know.

A Peachy Keen Challenge

Today I have a birthday gift bag I made for my Aunt Pat's 89th birthday gift. I made it following Peachy Keen Stamp Challenge. The challenge is to use a lunch sack or a paper grocery bag. I was excited when I saw this challenge because I have been getting these bags from the store I get my tea and coffee. You know I couldn't throw them away.
I used my Cricut Paper Dolls for Everyday to make the kitten. The face is from the adorable Tear Kitty Face Parts (PK 138) from Peachy Keen. I just love this stamp set, and I want to get more PK cat stamps. They are so cute.
The sentiment is from My Pink Stamper More Punny-licious. I kinda mixed up the sentiment stamp to get it the way I wanted it.
I love having these bags to re-use. As much as I love paper it is so hard for me to buy and use wrapping paper. I use to buy it the day after Christmas and I always made my gifts look beautiful. Then I went through a phase were I only used the comics. It is wonderful for gifts. Now I love gift bags and if I can recycle or recreate one all the better.
