My Hardest Post

I don't know what to write. But I need to tell you that I will be off the web for a while. My dear sweet husband, the love of my life passed away last night unexpectedly. Words will not express how I feel. Tears are all that help. Please keep our family  in your prayers and blessings as we work our way through our sorrow.

Thank you,

I Won a Prize from Bugaboo Stamps

Jodie at Bugaboo stamps contacted me and let me know that I won her random drawing giveaway. It was $25 dollars to spend on digi stamps. I had now trouble spending that money.  It was so much fun looking at all the images. Stella and Gus just crack me up.
Here is one card I made with my new image.

Here is the video.

If you want to have a good giggle head over to Bugaboo Stamps!
Thank you Jodie for the wonderful prize!

Back from our Trip

We had a quick visit with our grandchildren in Montana. 33 hours each way on the train. That was interesting and an experience we want to try. The grandkids are AMAZING! Really! They are 16 months and 5 years old. Great ages to enjoy a visit from their grandparents.
I have been organizing and trying to craft. Organizing is a never ending job for me.

Anyway I am here to tell you about a challenge/giveaway sponsored by a You Tube friend. Her name is Myra and her channel is "craftyrats."  The challenge is to make a Pocket Letter. I love to make Pocket Letters. Go Here to see her video.
This is the Pocket Letter I made for her.
Even if you don't want to join please go over and give her some love. She had two of her beloved Kitties pass away in the past two weeks.  They were with her so long and I thing that makes it harder.
Mayr has been making some really cool Christmas Crafts. She is very talented and I know you will get some great ideas.

Thanks for stopping by and Happy Crafting,

New Swaps at YPP

It is October 25 and the new swaps open at Your Paper Pantry
I host one swap and one challenge.
The swap is a ticket kit swap but this month my ticket looks more like a shaker ATC.
I have so much fun making shakers with my Fuse tool. The theme is Christmas, the size needs to be around 2.5 X 3.5 and they must be a kit. The picture is what my kit will look like when it is completed. The image is a Dearie Doll I got years ago and I cut it with my Silhouette. That was so much fun.
Here is the video of how I made my ticket and what I will put in the kit.

I also host a Christmas card challenge each month. This has been great I now have 55 homemade cards to send out.  I think about 9 out of the 37 who signed up have the same amount. It really is a great was to do a little each month. We made 5 cards a month and I suggest a theme. This month it was use what you have. That really is the theme most months. LOL
Here are my cards for this month.

Here is the video.

Come join the fun at Your Paper Pantry.  It is only $12 a year and best money you will spend on your crafting habit. That would be a great Christmas gift to yourself or a crafty friend.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great crafty week!

New Header

Well after a lot of fooling around I came up with this new header. I used a $1.00 digi paper kit from Snap Click Supply Co. and my Photoshop Elements. What do you think?

Yesterday I learned how to use my Silhouette to cut digi images that I have had for a long time. I just love Felicia from MousePotatoDesigns on You Tube. She is a computer wiz and knows how to break it down so I can follow. Felicia is also the Fauxbonichi Journalers Facebook Group Leader. She is having a give away and it would be perfect for someone just getting started in journaling. It is her one year FauxBonichi Anniversary. If you ever thought you might like to journal that is the group to check out. Great help, wonderful inspiration and friendly people.

Well I am off to work in my journal after 2hrs messing with the new header.

Hello Again!

Wow it has been a very busy summer. In late April my granddaughter and her parents moved in with us. They planned to stay 6 months and they did. I am so sad not to have my baby girl and her mom around . They were such great company when we were here. We spent a lot of time at the cottage this summer.
Here are two of my favorite pictures of Ava
The 3 of July with new shades

9 months old walking, No running, off with a wooden spoon she took from the dishwasher. She is so quick we don't let her out of our sight.
Moving out day.
This was a sad day for me, but it is important for a young family to have there own place. We wanted to give them the chance to save some money and have a garden. Their garden was amazing. I never got the vegetables they did for that plot of land.

Now what have I been doing? Well working in a journal. Having fun in a Face Book group called Fauxbonichi Journaling group. I journal everyday. I don't take pictures of that but I share in a video once in a while.
There are about 70  videos on my You Tube channel since May. The latest is a Autumn Fun Book I made for a swap at Your Paper Pantry.
Here is the video for this.

My craft room is finished but I haven't spent enough time there with running to the cottage most of the summer. If you would like to check it out here are Part1 and Part2

Today we are at the cottage it is cold  (50) and raining. Yesterday it got to 81. That was so amazing. The colors were breath taking.
I played around with a new header for my blog but I am not sure I have it just right. Most of the time I make my own but I just couldn't remember how so I used a Shabbyblogs one and added Sophie's picture. She has some beautiful headers for free.

That is it for now.  I hope you are all safe and enjoying the Autumn air and some very happy crafty times.

Hugs,

Craft Room

Yesterday was move in day.  My step son, his wife and baby Ava came to live with us for 6 months. I have been very busy getting the basement ready for them. The basement is a walk out, finished off and very nice basement, but my crafts had taken over most of it.

Here is a video that will show you what I have been up to.
This is all most my craft room. Three to four week from now shelves and cabinets will arrive. Then more sorting and arranging. I am really enjoying how it is right now.

Art on the Road

We had a wonderful time on our trip and made sure I took the time to art journal every day.
Here are the videos of what I created.

Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful day!

Thursday, January 1, 2015

This post is a video of all the Rolodex Cards I have made during 2014. " Me, myself, and I,"  all on my own. A lot of people do ICADS.  I really took it to heart to do a card each day or share a card each day for a year, hoping for lessons learned. I did learn a lot, and it was a blast to do art or share art every day, 365!  But, it was hard and stressful at times when I wasn't going to be at home. One thing I learned was that if I had to work ahead and do more than one card on a day, each card got better. Another thing I learned was if I had been inspiration by someone, or  something, the card was better.
I did surprise myself in accomplishing this goal. What is for next year you ask? I am not sure. I kinda let the Spirit lead me. We will see when It happens.

Here is the video.

Thanks for following me on this journey. Your comment, support and views have been a big help in my learning and growing.
Thank you!
