CardSpiration Challenge 11

Hi we had a great visit with Gary's cousin but Lucy did not like the little dog they brought and took after her. The poor little dog was scared out of her wits and cried like a  lion was eating her tail. Lucy is a third of her size but ten times quicker.  It is not looking so good for us getting a dog when my hubby retires. Any suggestion?
Here is the video I made to go with my Merry Monday card and Card-Spiration Challenge 11

Pastels

Happy Saturday! That means it is time for a Stamp, Scrap and Doodle Saturday Challenge.  Our wonderful sponsor this week is Dearie Dolls.

The challenge is "Pastels."  This is the last little bit of the wonderful quilt paper that I had. I have no idea what line it is from. I know I have had it for years. I did do some sewing around the outside edge of the DP.  It is just a fun cheerful card that I can use for a Hello, Thank You, or Happy Birthday.

I hope you will join us at SSDS this week with your pastel creations.
Check out what the rest of the design team has created.

Have a wonderful weekend,

YPP Greetings From Theme Coffee

This months the theme for the greeting card at Your Paper Pantry is Coffee.  We were asked not to uses brown or black. Those are the first two colors you think of when you are going to make something with the theme coffee. I decided to make a kinda retro coffee pot. The one I used is from the Cricut Cartridge From My Kitchen.
Here is the inside.
I decorated the envelope and you can see that in the video.  I used the SU set called Morning Cup and a Raisin Boat set called  Confidential.

YPP has a lot of fun swaps and wonderful informations. Check it out.
Here is how I created my card.

LESSology Chest of Drawers

We have a wonderful  challenge for you this month at LESSology. The challenge is called Chest of Drawers. I was going to make a chest out of match boxes but a friend gave me this great box and it was perfect for this challenge.
This is what it looked like when I got it.
First I sanded off all the old paint.

Next I painted it black.
Then I used Graphic 45 paper Olde Curiosity Shoppe and covered the drawers, sides and top. Finally I  decorated this fun little Chest of Drawers.
Here is the video of what I did.

Here is the finished chest of drawers.

Merry Monday

Merry Monday had another great sketch this week. It was very interesting. I wanted to us a PI image that I got from MFT that I hadn't had a chance to use yet.  I wasn't sure how I was going to make it work with this sketch.

I decided to do a lot of paper piecing.

I really put a lot of time into this card and I think it is very cute. Her dress and tights are DP. There are four different papers from the same Cosmo Cricket Christmas paper pack for the layer. The base card, the MFT die cut and the ribbon are all  SU real red.  I even did some sewing. My sewing machine is working so good now that I had it in for a tune up.  The image was colored with Copic markers. I didn't have much to colors since I paper pieced her clothes.
I was inspired to do the inside of my card a different way after I received an adorable card from Tracy (Tracy's Treasures).  Here is what the inside looks like. Oh and Yolanda or Yoliebean onYT was talking about doing the envelops so I stamped some holly on my envelope.  I tell you I get so many great ideas from these talent ladies.  These are two of my favorite to watch.
So one more card for my Christmas stash.  I did stamp her 3 times so you may be seeing her again soon. I just love the PI images.

YPP Cricuteers:Tea Bag Cards

Hello There, I signed up for a swap at Your Paper Pantry in the Cricuteers Group. The swap is called Tea Bag Cards. You have until the 5th of the month to sign up for most swaps. Then they should be mailed out by the 25th. April is a great months to join YPP.  New subscribers can purchase  Tim Holtz Distress Markers  for $80 which includes S&H in the U.S. Int'l/Canada shipping prorated. You should contact Roxy Furlong for all the information.
I was playing with my Gypsy and trying to come up with a Teapot card. I used A Childs Year and came up with this card.
I welded a teapot and teacup together. Then I copied it and flipped that image. Next I welded the two together. That became the base card. Then I cut a teapot and a teacup from DP and two cups from card stock.  I covered the front of the card (the teapot) with the DP and one cardstock teacup. I left the top of the cup opened. Then I layer the DP cup and the cardstock cup just to make is sturdy and put that one on the inside of the card. The DP was to thin to hold a teabag.

I show you how I made the little teabag that I used in the front cup in this video.

If you have any questions about materials or how I created this card please just ask. I would be happy to give your more informations.
