Clean and Simple Challenge 103

I made this card for the Clean and Simple challenge #103.  This card stared out as a standard size but I decided that I would make it a A4 size.  The stamp set is called Pedaling Past by SU. I have had this stamp for a while and this is the first time I used it. I just love this old bicycle.  The paper is by We R Memory Keepers called Out and About. I just though it was so cute. I used a little strip of cars that I cut off for the bottom of the inside.

When I first saw this paper I though about the Little Tikes cars that I made with my Cricut Lite, B is for Boy. When I finished the C&S card I had a little piece of the DP sitting on my table and a car so I made a  small gift card.
I just love those little cars. My boys had so much fun with their Little Tikes car.

The base card is SU Certainly Celery that I scored with my Score-Pal to create a background.

I hope you enjoyed my cards today. Thanks for stopping.

Color Throwdown #105

I have another card for you today. I was trying to make it be more than one challenge and when I finished I realized I forgot the other challenge want a square card. Oh well.  I made this card for Color Throwdown Challenge #105

You may think why did she use that stamp for those colors? Well I love this stamp and I wanted to use it. Here is Wisconsin hydrangea are not the pretty pink and blue like other places. Oh sometime they are if the soil is just right. Hydrangea are one of my favorite flowers. I like to pick them and let them dry. They look like the paper in an old book. That is why my hydrangea is soft suede.
This card is much prettier in person. I used a Gelly Roll Stardust pen to glitter the center of the flowers and around the sentiment. I thought it looked like a very serious card.

The inside is kinda of fun. I used poke-a-dot paper and glued it so that the white side is out to write on but the printed side is only glued in one spot so you can see it. You know, kinda like when you have a pretty petticoat on and you want to show it off. LOL

Ok it is late for me and I am tired so if you want to know more about this card please leave a comment and I will be so happy I will tell you everything you would like to know about this card. OK???

Scrapmaster's Paradise Color Combo #61

This week at Stampmaster's Paradise Color Challenge we some great colors for you. When I saw these colors I thought of fall.  I want to use this cute SU stamp that I got at a garage sale this summer.  Plus it was so hot outside I was dreaming of cooler weather.
I think this little bear is so cute.
I am not sure the name of the stamp set but it is from 1998.  The base card it Tangerine Tango, the next layer is Pumpkin Pie.  The strip is a new SU color called Cherry Cobbler. I used Copic markers to color the image. The ribbon was white and I used Copic marker R29 to color it to match the Cherry Cobbler.

Why not head over to SPCC and take a look at what the other DT's have created. Then join in on the challenge. I look forward to seeing how you use this weeks color challenge.

Stamp Simply #152 - Ribbon Scraps

Boy I have been waiting for this challenge! Stamp Simply challenge is #152 is to use ribbon scraps. I always have a hard time throwing anything away.  So I have been saving all those little pieces of ribbon to use for a technique that I saw someone use. I think it was K Werner Design's.  It was a while back.
I used my SU butterfly punch and taped little pieces of ribbon to the back. Then I used a white jelly pen to make stitching and glued them to the card following Clean and Simple FTL102 sketch. I made it the size of a standard envelope.  I used my score pal to to make the background. I lined the inside of the card and stamped the inside with SU Flight of the Butterfly stamp set.

This was a fun technique and a great way to use up your scraps.

SSDS Saturday Challenge

Happy Saturday! I sure hope you are all able to survive this hot summer. This past week has been a dilly here in Wisconsin.

Well it is Saturday again. Were do the weeks go. Mine see to fly by. This week at Stamp Scrap and Doodle Saturday we have a wonder sketch by our very own Kim.

Our sponsor is Whimsy Stamps.

Here is the card I came up with. This digi stamp is called Gift Horse and it was created by designed by Crissy Armstrong. I think he (or she) is so cute. The image reminded me of the My Little Pony's horses. That is why I colored him (or her) purple and pink. The sentiment I typed on my computer with LDJ Spring Shiver font. I used Viva Decor Glitter Liner and Stickles to bling her up a bit. I am still learning how to use Stickles. I got a little messy but I am sure the little girl I am thinking about giving this card to won't mine.

This is a fun sketch so why not give it at try. Join us this week at SSDS. I am looking forward to seeing all your creations.

Scrapmaster Color Combo #59 and #60

Hello Everyone, Today is Monday and time for another Scrapmaster's Paradise Color Combo Challenge. Samantha had a tough week last week. Her grandmother got sick and the the color challenge totally slipped her mind. I can totally see how that could happen.
To make up for it she is going to have TWO SPCC Challenges this week with Two chances for prizes. Yea!!!  Now I already posted my card for challenge #59 here
So I am going to post today's challenge which is Challenge #60.
Boy, do I love this color combo! I used them on Saturday's card too.
Here is my card:
This has to be one of my favorite cards. I love this stamp set Flight of the Butterfly by SU. The sentiment is perfect for my friend who is having a hard time thinking about school starting without me being there. It say, "If nothing ever changed there would be no butterflies." I am going in to help her on the first day and leave this card for her. She isn't a card maker and I know she doesn't read my blog. She would have to call about all my mistakes. And I love her for it! When she was a new teacher and I interviewed her I asked how she was a proof reading and she said she was so good it was almost a problem. Meaning she doesn't miss a thing. That was the reason I wanted her. I can't see written mistakes if they jump off the page. I read what I think is there and don't look or even see all the letters when I read. I have told you I am slightly dyslexic.

For the card I used:
Stamp: SU Flight of the Butterfly
Paper: SU card stock, Bashful Blue, Night of Navy, Daffodil Delight
Acc: SU Butterfly punch, Viva Decor Glitter Liner, SU Embosslits Beautiful Wings, SU Bashful Blue Ribbon, and CB Embossing Folder D'vine Swirl

I hope you are having a great Monday and that you will join us at SPCC this week.

Stamp Scrap Doodle Saturday

Hi everyone Happy Saturday! It is a beautiful day here is Wisconsin. I have the windows open for the first time in weeks.  I guess we get this wonderful weather for one more day then back to hot and humid.  The only bad part about outside right now is the mosquitoes. They are so bad this year because of all the rain we have had. This is our  fourth summer at this address and this is the first time we have had mosquitoes. I hate them but they seem to love me.

OK enough about my life it is Saturday and that means it is time for a Stamp, Scrap and Doodle Challenge. This week the challenge is a creation using no images only sentiments, diecuts or other embellishments

Here is the card I created:

Tu Tu Funny

Tomorrow is a dear friends birthday. Yesterday a bunch of us got together to celebrate. This is the card I made for her. She loves purple and a funny cards. She really got a kick out of this one.   I even crochet the flower for her .

The sentiment is something she would say.  She is so funny with a quick wit. When we get together there is always a lot of laughing. We really get going and feed off of each other.

Here is a picture of all of us. We rage in age for 7 months to 57. That would be me the oldest. Sad to say. The birthday girl is the one in the middle below me in the purple shirt.  Can you just imagine us all in tu tu's dancing around? I wouldn't put it past us. Exciting News, I have been Published!

That is correct. Little old me has a card in ScrapStreet.com Magazine. I can't tell you how excited I am about this.

Here is what I came up with.

To read the article go here.  Be sure to check out what the rest of the Design Team came up with.

Now my DH has to get me to stop doing the happy dance and settle down.  Maybe tomorrow for now I am going to dance the happy dance.

Thanks for stopping,
Good Monday Morning, I hope you had a wonderful weekend. I spent the weekend trying to power wash my house and let me tell you what ever could go wrong went wrong. Well almost, but that's another story.
Today is about Scrapmaster's Paradise Color Challenge and the colors are:
Aren't they great. I love SU's new Daffodil Delight.

I used Versa Mark Ink and SU Baroque Border small wheel on the River Rock CS to give it texture. The flower was created with my Cricut and The Walk in My Garden Cartridge. I used the Baroque Border wheel and clear embossed the flower before I put it all together. Then I used a new SU brad from the Antique Brads collection for the center. That is a great deal you get 20 beautiful brads. The sentiment is from SU set called Teeny Tiny Whishes. I love that set and seem to pull it out all the time.

I sure hope you will play along this week at SPCC. All you have to do is to use this color combo for your project -be it a card, scrapbook LO, 3D or altered item. You do NOT have to use Stampin' UP brand colors or products, but you do have to use colors close to these colors.

I am off to a birtday party for a dear friend. I hope you all have a wonderful Monday.
Thanks for stopping,
Hugs,
