My Winter Weekend at the Cabin

Please go here for my Advent calendar give away. There are 7 more days to sign up.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Hi We went to the cabin this weekend.This is what it looked like when we arrived.
It was so pretty with the snow. We have to stay at a friends because our cabin is not built for winter.
 We are having some work done. The poor building is in need of lots of TLC.
We had some foundations work done and a window replaced.
The east side was getting really bad. The logs you see are the walls on the inside. No space to insulate so this is just a summer cabin.
This is how it looks now. Well really this is from Saturday.
This is the window before.The glass putty was cracked  and the glass was starting to come loose. The window didn't open and this is the lake side of the building.
This is the windows now.
The wall under the window had to be replaces because some of the boards were rotten. We want one picture window but it just couldn't be done to this structure.
Here is what it looks like from inside.
We are very close to the lake and there are a lot of rules about what we can do. Well I should say can't do. We are very happy with the work and plan on doing more windows. We worked a little inside cleaning up but it was colder inside that outside on Saturday. I wish we could make it more year round but the rule say we can't. I guess that just make is it a special place to get away and enjoy.
Thanks for stopping and have a great day,
Wow, I'm surprised by the amount of snow you already have there! Good luck with all the fixer-upper projects--they will be worth it in the end.
Look at all that snow! Wow. Your view of the lake is gorgeous. I can see why you would wish to stay there all year.
