Stamp TV's Sketch Challenge

I made four cards today. The first one is for Stamp TV’s Sketch Challenge. I used Theresa Momber’s set called Autumn Beauty. I really like that set and have used it a lot lately. The base card is Pure Luxury Pumpkin Spice and the little square brads are from CTMH. I had to have two packages to get four that matched. The background is the paper yesterday for the Pot Luck Challenge. I made on the computer.

Thanksgiving Sentiment Card

Stamp TV Potluck Challenge is to make a sentiment background. I ordered "Vintage Borders" stamp set by Nina Brackett the other night but right now I don’t have any sentiment background stamps so I made the background on my computer. The font is Snell Roundhand. I liked the way it looked so typed a page with things I am thankful for. I hope to make Thanksgiving cards this weekend for my family and friends. This is the first one. I love the idea of a sentiment background. Nina’s set has a beautiful Christmas sentiment background stamp. You can see it here.
This card was also inspired by Our Creative Corner Challenge.
Here is the picture for inspiration.

The image is by Theresa Momber from her set called Autumn Beauty. I colored it with Copic Markers. The base card stock is Pure Luxury Pumpkin Spice. The ribbon and brown card stock is something I had.
Thanks for stopping and be sure to say Hi.

A Fun Day

What a fun day I had today. I only had to work a half day because I had a Dr. appointment. That went great. I was home a hour before I normally would be and when I sat down to relax the Brown Truck pulled up with my SU order. I had a book party, kinda. Anyway the pictures at the bottom are of the fun stuff that came in the order. Then I had still had time to check out some challenges, color and make this card. I used the sketch for Cupcake Craft Challenge and the fairy is for Flutter By Wednesday #82
I think this is the cutest card. When I saw the Cupcake sketch I knew just what I wanted to make. The image is a Mo's digital pencil stamp called Christmas Fairy Holly. I bought her a few weeks ago and didn't finish coloring her until today. I think she is the cutest fairy. The base card is Gina K Pure Luxury heavy weight card stock. The DP is called The Chistmas Ultimate Stack by DCWV. The snowflake is by Stickabilities. I colored her with Copic markers.
I colored a blue fairy too and I hope to make that card soon.
Now I really want to know what you think.
Thanks for stopping.

Thanksgiving Cards for the Troops Unscripted

I have been working on Thanksgiving cards for the troops. Here are a few I worked on this weekend. I followed the Unscripted Sketches layout. The base card stock is SU Creamy Caramel or Lure Luxury Green Apple. I embossed some core card stock with Cuttlebug's Autumn Type folder. Then I sanded that. I have been looking for that folder and found it on Sunday after leaving the clinic. It turned out that I had a sinus infection. I just wasn't getting better so I went in and got an antibiotic. I also picked up the ribbon I used on these cards when I got the folder. The stamp set I used was Autumn Beauty by Theresa Momber. The buckles are from CTMH. The little leaf was cut with my Cricut and the Tinker Bell cartridge. The inside is stamped with Happy Thanksgiving. That's about all.
Thanks for stopping and let me know what you think.

A Box of Cards

This is turning out to be a very good day. One of my sons is coming to visit. I am starting to feel better and can talk again. I had time to do this project and make an apple pie. I love a day were I feel like I got something accomplished.
I am excited about this project. It is for the technique challenge at Stamp TV. Gina K's challenge is to make a box of gift cards. You can watch her show you how here. The best part is now I have a very nice gift to give. The base cards are Pure Luxury Soft Sand. The DP is called Perfect Day from CTMH. The stamps, ribbon and gift box are from the Showtime Holiday Cheer Set. I colored the stamps with Fiskars markers. I wanted the center of the image a different color. I am very happy with how this turned out and I know just who will be getting it. I need to order more boxes because I know I will be making more. I had a little trouble punching out the sentiment. My circle punch is just a little too small. I even stamped the back of the cards with a stamp from this set. It says, Homemade for you with love."
I hope you had a great day too!
Thanks for stopping and let me know how you are doing.

Stamp TV Collor Challenge 36

I made this card for the Stamp TV color challenge. The colors are Cranberry Tart (or Burgundy),
Green Apple (or Olive), and Ivory. The stamp set is A Very Merry Christmas by Theresa Momber. The card stock is from Stamp TV called Holiday. The ribbon is something I had. I used clear embossing powder on the corners. I colored the holly with Copic markers, and the berries with a red Spica pen. I stamped the sentiment with CTMH Vineyard Berry. The punched corners are done with a EK success punch.
Thanks for stopping. Please let me know what you think.

Color Throwdown, Just Us Girls

Today I found something else I love to make. The flower on this card was so much fun. It was made with tissue paper that was inked and cut with Nestabilities. I got the idea from LeAnne at Wee Inkling. She made one for the Just Us Girls Challenge Week 4. You can watch a video tutorial, there, so check it out!
The colors for Color Throwdown #66 are Rich Razzleberry, Elegant Eggplant and Bordering Blue. I didn't have Bordering blue ink, just card stock. The flower was inked with Bashfull Blue. I really like the way the Bordering Blue looks silver. The flower would look much better in that color. So that is on my wish list for the next SU class. The center of the flower is a SU Build a Brad with an Elegant Eggplant center. The Sentiment is from CTMH and cut with Nestabilities. I embosssed the strips with a cuttlebug folder. I just love making these flowers. They are easy and look great, and because they are tissue paper they will go in an envelope easily.
Thanks for stopping and please let me know what you think.

Thanksgiving to the Troops

Here is another card I made over the weekend for the troops. I am home sick today. You can't teach first grade without a voice. I don't think I have the flu. I don't have a thermometer and with the hot flashes I can't tell if I have a fever. Other than that I am just very tired. The worst part is I was suppose to go a card class with some new friends tonight. I have been told that they have the best craft rooms. I really wanted to go to this class and see their craft room. Oh well, now I have something to look forward too.
The turkey stamp is by JRL Design Co. and colored with Copic markers. The corn stalks are from the set called Autumn Beauty by Theresa Momber at Stamp TV. The sentiment is a CTMH stamp.
I am going to take a nap and then make a card then another nap. That is my plan to get better. I have off the next two days for teachers convention but I don't think I will make it to Milwaukee unless I am feeling better.

Christmas in the 50's

This is me with Santa. I am trying to put a scrape book together of my life. The pictures from when I was little are in bad shape. That is because it was a l-o-n-g time ago. I used this week scrap book sketch over at Stamp TV. The holly is from Holiday Cheer Showtime Kit. The background paper is something my friend Terri gave me. I don't know who makes it.
