I think she is so sweet. You can't tell from the picture but all the stars, her wings and hair all have Stickles and sparkle. The die cut is a Fancy Label. I thought she looked like she just need at cloud to set on.

Stamp, Scrap and Doodle Saturday

Happy Saturday and Happy July!  OK, what happened to June? June had to be the fastest month ever.
There are a lot of patriotic challenges out there this week. Our challenge at Stamp Scrap and Doodle Saturday is called "Stars and Stripes." So you can make it patriotic, or you can just use stars and stripes any way you would like.

Here is my card.

I used one of By Lori Design's new images called Lollipop Saylor. When I saw her I just had to buy her. Did you see all the new images?

I followed the sketch at Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge!
The front is cut a little shorter so that the lining peaks out like a skirt. I used some brads and red, white and blue twin. The stars were made with a CB embossing  folder and core'dinations paper, then sanded. The stripes I created by cutting strips of paper.

Stamp Scrap Doodle Saturday

Happy Saturday Everyone,
 Regina has asked me to take over the challenge for a while. Her family needs her right now. Please keep her family in your prayers.

I am busy contacting sponsors and trying to line up some prizes for our challenge.  We haven't had a sponsor or a prize in a while.  So this week I will sponsor our challenge. The winner will receive a Cuttlebug Embossing Folder  called Moroccan Screen.
This week we have a wonderful sketch created by our very own Suzanne from My Crafty Corner.

I used the adorable By LORi Design image Lollipop Amy. She will be featured on Tuesday 5/31  at By LORi Design.

The flowers are some cloth ones that I made. The lining is punched with a MS board punch. You can see the lining peeking out. I tucked a little tag under the bow. I cut Amy out using a Nestiblites die called Beaded Oval. Before I took it out of the die-cut  I inked the "beads ." the ribbon is from SU.

Stamp Scrap Doodle Saturday

Happy Saturday!
Time for another wonderful challenge at SSDS. This week we want to see what you are making for your mothers. That's right it is a mother's day challenge. Just in time, right?
Well here is my card.

The pendants are a stamp from SP and Company called Pretty Pendants Stamp set. I used a SU punch for the flower and some stickers for MOM. The Happy Mother's Day is from two SP and Company sets; Mix 'n Match Sentiments: Holidays and Mix 'n Match: Basic set.

Stamp, Scrap, and Doodle Saturday

Happy Saturday!
Today we have an easy challenge for you at Stamp, Scrap and Doodle Saturday. This week the challenge is "Numbers." 
Here is my card with lots of numbers.

The paper is from CTMH. I added stamp the stamp in the upper right. The ticket is a Tim Holtz embellishment. The clock was in a bag of embellishment I have. I just love the background paper with all the old mail. The twine is Scrapbook floss. I think I should have gone around a few more times. Oh well I will do that on the next one.


We had over 100 wonderful entries last week. It was so much fun to see all those wonderful project.  Now head over to SSDS and see the fantastic creation by all the very talented DT's.  I am looking forward to seeing all of your new creations.

Stamp Scrap Doodle Saturday and DT call

It is Saturday and time for a Stamp, Scrap and Doodle Challenge. This week our challenge it to use Polka Dots and stripes. 

Before I get to the challenge I wanted to tell you all that Regina has put out a DT call. You can read all about it here.

I wanted to use Stampin' Royalty colors so I had to make my own polka dots and stripes.
I also paired my card up with this weeks My Creative Time challenge. Emma's challenge was to use the "Just Because" cartridge and to stamp a sentiment.
Now I have two pictures of my card one taken in natural sunlight coming through the window. The second one was in my light box.

I guess the light box shows the colors and details better on this card. My dear, sweet, helpful friend LeAnne showed me how she lights her cards and I think the change I made is helping. Thanks LeAnne!

The sentiment is part of a set called Bug of Fun from the Angel Company.

The sentiment was stamped on a label I cut from "Just Because."  The ribbon and card stock are from SU.

Stamp Scrap Doodle Saturday

It is Saturday and that means it is time for another Stamp Scrap and Doodle challenge. This week our challenge is a sketch challenge. This wonderful sketch was created by our very own Dee.

Well we are off to take my Father in Law to see my Mother in Law who went to a nursing home on Wednesday. This will take us most of the day.

Stamp Scrap Doodle Saturday

Hoo-ray it is Saturday, and that means it is time for another Stamp, Scrap and Doodle Challenge. Our challenge this week is monochromatic and use your favorite color.  Using one color is kinda ticky and I think you have to use a white, black or something to help. My favorite color is red and I love SU Cherry Cobbler. It is a nice dark rich red. I also love cardnials. Now you know two of my favorite things.
I made some small 3 by 3 thank you cards. I think they will be great to stick in with a thank you gift.

The base card is a 6 X 3 piece of Cherry Cobbler with a 2.75 X 2.75 square of SU DP called Deck the Halls. The cardnial was made with the SU bird punch. I used Soft Sede to ink the edges and a black copic marker to draw the face. The eye is a black rhinestone from Kaiser Craft. I punched three wings. One is used to creates the crown on his head. I can't take credit for this bird. I have see it all over the web. There are so many birds you can make with this punch. It really is a fun punch to have.
The sentiment is from SP & Company. It fits perfect in the second smallest die from the Lables Four set of Nestabilities. I am very happy with these little cards. It always help to create using the things we love.

Stamp Scrap Doodle Saturday

Happy Snowy Saturday!

We are having the most beautiful snow fall today. All the pines are flocked and the snow is softly falling. We are going to cut down out Christmas tree when the snow stops hopefully.

Today's challenge at Stamp Scarp and Doodle is a fun one. This week we would like you to Scraplift one of the DT memebers. I scraplifted my card from Amanda. You can see her card here. I thought it was so cute. Her card is a birthday card and mine is a Christmas card.

The glitter brad was is a gift bag I received from my dear friend LeAnne on my birthday. She sent me the sweetest card and a gift bag with a stamp and brads. I was so tickled. The ribbon I got after Christmas last year. It is like seam binding. The first real job I had in a store was at Christmas and I had a cool machine that I would make this kind of bows on. It was a lot easier with that kind of ribbon and the machine. Making this ribbon was the only hard part of this card. I was 16 and it was a very nice jewelry store. I loved it and everyone got the best presents from me that year. The sentiment stamp is from Christmas Emma by SP & Company.

Stamp Scrap Doodle Saturday

Happy Saturday! This Saturday our challenge at Stamp, Scrap and Doodle is to make a card with no flowers. I decided to make a boy Christmas card with this fun image from by LORi design Lollipops collection called Ethan. I typed the sentiment with a font called
LDJ Pig Sty. I cut out a tree and embossed it. Then I added the foil paper that I embossed with the folder called Diamond Plate. I think the tree looks like a side walk that he is going to skate off into the distance.

Stamp Scrap Doodle Saturday

Hi Happy Saturday! This week at Stamp, Scrap and Doodle Saturday we have a great challenge for you. The challenge is to make a card or project with an animal on it. Our wonderful sponsor this week is MelJens Designs and if you are the lucky winner you will get to pick 4 digital stamps of your choice. I just love the one I used for this challenge. He is called Sick Little Bear. I really enjoy sitting and look at all the fun images at their sight. You can get some great ideas and stamps.

I got the idea for this card from the card Arielle made for The Pink Elephant challenge last Monday. She made the cutest card and put a Tastefully Simple Sweet Bell Pepper Dip Mix and a recipe in her card. Check it out here. I decided that since this was a get well I should but Advile in the pocket. I had a sample from a store and thought it would work great in this card.

The paper is from CTMH. I colored the image with Copic Markers. The tag sentiment is from a SU stamp set called Sincere Salutations. The ribbon is Whisper White Organza from SU.

Stamp Scrap and Doodle Satuday

It’s time for another Stamp Scrap and Doodle Challenge. This week we have a sketch for you to try. The sketch is by our own very talented Nicole. Our wonderful sponsor this week is Creations by Penny. The image I used is called Beach Umbrella and it is one of their digi stamps. The colors are from the ColourQ challenge #37. They are Ruby Red, Cameo Coral, Apricot Appeal, Always Artichoke and Vanilla. I love the way they look together. Arielle really comes up with some great color combos. I am getting hooked on her challenges.
I had fun with the sketch and changed it up a bit. I just had to use my flip flop stamp from Raisin Boat again. The sentiment is also from RB. I thought they went great with this image.
I just can’t seem to stop playing with my Gypsy. The card is a beach card and I have the Life is a Beach cartridge. When I saw this little crab I had to use him. Then I saw the turtle with enjoy and I just couldn’t help myself. I added wiggle eyes and Crystal effect to make Mr. Crab pop. The sandals are stamped on sand paper. The bottom two layers are embossed with CB folders. I colored the image with copic markers.

I am at the cabin again this weekend for my father-in-laws 94th birthday. We drove both of my DH’s parents up to celebrate. His mother is 90. They are getting frail but still love life and the great outdoors. We are hoping to get the birthday boy in the boat again this year so he can do some fishing. Last year he caught a huge musky. SSDS Saturday Challenge

Happy Saturday! I am at the cabin for four day . Day one no internet. Day two It took all day to get the internet up and running. Oh, and 6 calls to the phone company. It has rained all day. Day three (that is today) clouds and cold. Oh well, I have internet and it is time for another
Stamp, Scrap, and Doodle challenge. This week our wonderful sponsor Sweet and Sassy and the challenge is go make a card with a pocket. I made my favorite double fold pocket card. I used one of their images called Thank you Turtle. I think he is so sweet. The colors are from the Color Q challenge this week. I thought they would be great for this little turtle. The colors this week are Sage Shadow, Pumpkin Pie, So Saffron and Chocolate Chip. I used SU card stock in those colors and I thought they looked the same as Copic colors G21, YR16, and Y21. So those are the colors I used to color the turtle. I made the design on the card stock with a Versamark Mark pad and a stamp from Raisin Boat Designs. This is the stamp set I got last month. I haven’t sent it back. The set is called called Peace and Smiles. His little buckle is from Making Memories. The bottom border is a boarder die from Nestabilities. The tags were cut with my Cricut and are stamped using a thank you stamp set from CTMH and Hero Arts. I used a little Crystal Glass from CTMH on the center of the flower.

SSDS Saturday Challenge

We have a sketch challenge for you this week at SSDS. Our own, very talented Nicole came up with this wonderful sketch. Our sponsor this week is Polly Crafts and you could win 5 digi stamps of the your choice.
The image I used is from the Lilybean Fairies collection called Clover I Believe. I colored the image with copic markers. The card stock is SU’s Eggplant and Pretty in Pink. I used SU Petals-A-Plenty Embosslits. The butterflies are SU Beautiful Wings die cut and I used CTMH Liquid glass to make it shinny and stand up. The DP and ribbon are from some scraps that I had. I sprayed it with Glimmer Mist Pearl to make it sparkly. You can’t see that in the picture. The sentiment is from a CTMH set called Your Childhood Portrait.
