Great Weekend

We had a great weekend in the North Woods. My DH and I took his parents up to our cabin, the one they enjoyed for over 30 year. John turned 94 today and Mary is 90. It was very had for them to walk from the car to the cabin, but they were determined. The one thing John has always loved was fishing. He is a master at it. Well fishing just was not in the cards for this weekend. A flooded boat, bad weather and planned dinner parties got in the way of fishing. John didn't mind. He really didn't have the energy needed to fish. We did get to get them on the lake thanks to help of a dear friend that made it happen. They really enjoyed themselves.

Another thing that made this a great weekend was that I was able to visit a wonderful Scrapbook store in Minocqua, Wisconsin called The Baker's Wife. If you ever get a chance to stop into the shop make sure you go up stairs and do one of Phillis's make and takes. This is a picture of the huge table where you will find four or five cards to make and it is only $1.00. Children are even welcome to make a card as long as a parent helps them. It is the cheepest entertainment up there. The shop has everything and is up to date on all the newest products. I am really looking forward to my next visit. Check out their blog for more information.
Thanks for stopping,
