Sympathy Cards

Hi Everyone,
I needed to make a sympathy card for a friend who's husband past away. It was so sudden. He was away on a vacation with some friends. He had Parkinson's Disease but they are not sure what happened.  My heart really goes out to her. He was the sweetest man. He was in my water Yoga class.

These are the hardest cards for me to make. First because of the obvious that someone has past away. Second because you want to say so much with so few words and art.

I made two.
Here is the fist card.

This is the outside.
This is the inside.

Sorry the pictures are not too good. I am still working on my lighting.

The sentiment says, "Perhaps they are not stars in the sky, but rather openings in heaven where the love of our lost ones pour through and shines down to let us know they are happy." I love that thought. I know I feel the love of my parents around me often.

I inked the gate and sentiment with TH broken china. The paper is from my scraps so I don't know who it is by. I added some AMUSE stars. The base card is SU sky blue I think.

Here is the second card. I made this one because I had the set out.
Front of the card

Inside of the card

The sentiment on the from of this one says, "Death leaves a heartache no one can heal. Love leaves memory no one can steal.  Irish Tombstone" The  stamps are from a set by Impression Obsession. This is the set I go to when I make a sympathy card because I love the sentiment.

I sprayed the gate on this one with some Lindy's products. The gates are from a Cricut cartridge called Ornamental Iron

No challenges for these two. I do think I need to make a few more Sympathy cards. Maybe if I make them when I don't have to it won't be so hard.

Thanks for stopping,

so sorry to hear you needed to have a card for this loss- there all so hard aren't they?
I love both these sentiments and love those gates-is that a cut or a stamp?
I am enamored with gates and fences.
Sending you a hug sweetie
